I am rubbish at keeping up with the thread. I have been busy and spent 8 hours de-grotting my girls rooms on Saturday. This now means all the too small clothes and toys no longer wanted are sitting in my living room - I feel like I'm at a jumble sale. Did hubbies wardrobe on Sunday so another load of stuff from that. Listed on local selling page (well a bit of it) but think carboot maybe way to go as got a huge stash of stuff and I want it to go in one go.
Off to look at the list of jobs for so far this week and play catchup.0 -

I was very fortunate indeed to know Toots through Flylady, even though we never met in person. I was away from flying this time last year, and was very sad to read the news later.
I'm still on light duties, but yesterday I cleaned the kitchen, and the cloakroom today. DS1 has been tidying the living room, and I have decluttered. DD vacuumed downstairs.
I have also pottered a bit in the garden, collecting seeds and deadheading, and treated myself to half an hour reading in the sunshine.
Love and hugs to you all.It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0 -
We have wine and a candle tonight, as it's the Esbat (Full Moon); so we shall raise a glass to dear Toots as we enjoy this. I'm sure she won't mind sharing with our pal Colin - in our thoughts today simply because Cl@ssic fm played "Fanfare for the Common Man" this morning, which was the music Colin made his final journey to.

Unfortunately I have nobody other than Mr LW; but I shall ensure he knows just how much he's loved and appreciated.
30 minutes to spare........

It's all up to date - we're currently working on the BIG item on it, which is "Get the kitchen refitted".:D I am progressing things on the list as and when I can manage to do them.:o

I'm told that playing with dogs counts, so I've given Bailey & Cassie two lovely games of ball in the garden today, as well as brushing them (I find grooming dogs therapeutic) and when Mr LW comes home, we shall have a lovely walk over the field with them. They're going home tomorrow, so I'm making the most of the time I have left with them this visit.;)
September challenge: further progress - last night we got two big cardboard boxes packed up with glassware and other items we can easily manage without, and also disposed of several plastic bottles we'd kept for putting in the car with drinking water in; we have two in the car already, and can soon save more bottles at a later date if we need to.Planning to do more tonight (I'm under orders to wait til Mr LW is home as my wrists are so bad now).If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -

Again flyers you are all doing well, eerybody has made some progress today. Paid gardening done, I want to do 15 minute in my front in a minute to cram the wheelie bin, DS2 can help me.
Think we may go to the big Yelow and blue warehouse tomorrow to get a few more bits he needs for uni.The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Carpy carp carp carp with extra carp on top.....flying is suspended until further notice.....not only should DD2 be back at Uni by now, but I had to have breakdown van out yesterday to check power steering failure on the Skintmobile.....I had topped up the fluid and then moved the car to a safe position all by myself before I even called anyone
but got DS back from school by train as a precaution.....they checked it, followed me for 2 miles, declared no fault found.
So I accepted cancellation appointment for my Jaw surgery (just 8 years in the waiting and planning!) as all go for launch on 19th September. Trotted out the two young Skints out on a 50 mile round trip to get first lot of pre-op stuff done at horsepiddle this morning.....a quick divert via maccy D so DS could actually eat something before going into big school for the afternoon....... DS off, went back to Skintmobile, power steering failed again :mad::mad::mad: is understatement! legged it for train station with DD4 and buggy, got home, got all my flexible friends in my wallet and rung main dealer to try and get sorted. Left food and drink for DD3 at home, left all DD2 Uni Carp strewn about and got her to hot foot it back to train station with me and DD4 in buggy. DD2 collected DS from school and took him to play in park with DD4 while waiting for the return train home (living on a branch line and one train an hour has its perks/drawbacks)
I topped up steering fluid again........and gingerly drove myself here to main dealer at 20 mph with hazards going, so no young Skints were put at risk.....been here for 90 minutes waiting to hear what is wrong and how much the plastic is going to melt :eek::eek: then start walking the 3 or so miles to train station to get myself home!
DD2 has been told not to expect to go back to Uni until the weekend now.......and then all go with more horsepiddle pre-op stuff Monday and Tuesday so if between us we can keep up with the dailies, I will class that as a win......might go back to lurking until after the jaw smashing has taken place.
.........and breathe! The cold never bothered me anyway0 -

Oh Skinty, there's no answer to that  except to send you big (((hugs))) and fingers crossed the car gets sorted very quickly and without too much damage to your flexible friends.
Feel free to PM me if you need a shoulder (I have still got one that functions properly)0 -
Note to self: to have a very stern word with Coyote (The Trickster) to leave our Skinty alone!!
Email finally all up to date (ie inbox clear of survey invitations); now going to prep as much towards dins as I can (pasta in cheese sauce tonight - Mr LW has already done the cheese, onions and toms, just need to put it together) then it should take me 15 mins or less to have it on the table after we've walked the Hairy Hooligans.
So, signing off for the night.
