We operate on a one-person thread on this forum. By that, I mean that when someone posts a problem, then all help is targeted to that person as to avoid confusion.

If you would like some help, then re-post your point in its own thread and you will get specific advice to your problem.

    Thanks.

On the subject of popping into a shop before you've purchased a P&D ticket form a machine...
I have done this many a time, as the only way to purchase a ticket was/is to get some change from a shop and im sure that many people are in/have been in the same situation

Hilarious to read that people earning over £100,000 per year are 'just' ordinary run of the mill people like...pilots, dentists and other professionals and 'Charterhouse is not extravagant'!

And no the Deep, I have no problem with people making the best of the hand they are dealt. I also encourage the same - but I am, and always will be, unimpressed by a practised spiel from a suit who simply speaks eloquently... unless they also come across as down to earth, genuine, funny/witty and interesting individuals. That's why, despite the fact I stopped at A levels (my choice) my own eldest girls are at good Universities and the other two have similar plans when they are old enough. We were all state school educated in my family including our children, and we speak with an unpolished Brighton accent. And my OH and I earn considerably less than you probably pay your butler - oh, and our eldest kids get a Student grant and loan. Does that make us 'riff raff' even when dropping off our DD1 at her Oxford college next week and DD2 at another top Uni? Where is the line drawn?!

Anyway back to the point in hand - the OP will win on no GPEOL!

Much is being made of short periods of less than a minurte. This is what Mr de Savary says of the observed time

The 12 second parking period is only detailed on the ticket for the purposes of satisfying the Protection of Freedoms Act. It is as you are aware necessary for all Notice to Drivers to refer to a parking period, the Act does not specify the min or max. So it is just to tick that box in case a Judge scrutinises the relevant section. In reality the driver was probably parked for around 4-5 minutes and made no effort to read signs or pay, he simply left the car park on his own business and we issued him with a ticket correctly. I doubt anyone can agree that he found the 40p charge too much and decided to leave?

Of course they are. Have you never met any CM?

Yes but they didn't support the point you were trying to make that someone on £100,000k p.a. apparently 'scrimped and saved' to send a sprog or two to public school. Nope, they really don't know the meaning of the word unless they were also spending their surplus £70,000 income on shiny granite worktops, Beamers and hottubs and holidays at Sandals every few months and had nothing left!

Well CM, he would probably have paid £40,000+ in tax and N I, another £5,000 in malpractice insurance, £1000 in training courses and membership fees,. That left him £54,000. Say £300,00 0 for the school fees, (it was some time ago), leaving him 24,000 to live on.

Not a lot I am sure you would agree for a man who spent seven years training. As for airline pilots, have you any idea how much it costs to qualify?

Yes; shocking money! A friend's son wants to be a pilot. :)

Why are we even talking about this crap? A majority of people in the UK earn under £30k a year, so what difference does it make if this scammer is educated to a level beyond most people on here or in general?

This scammer runs a scamming company that tries to rip people off, no matter how well educated he is, he's nothing more than a scumbag, he rips people off, he gets rich by leaching off society, the dvla created a business to scam for him.

For me he is nothing more than vermin, the sooner him and his ilk are driven out of the scam business, the better for people who are unprepared for this scam. I will never accept people like him thinking that society owe him a living!
