Summer is over..

..and I am so happy. This really is my favourite time of year, long nights, cold weather, the run up to Christmas (not the commercialism, but the Christmas fairs, festivals, church activities, family time) and the rest. Maybe it's because I'm a Winter baby, but Spring and Summer have always just depressed me and I was probably the only child who couldn't wait for the Summer holidays to be over!
Does anyone else feel the same or am I just strange?

You are obviously deranged and in need of urgent psychiatric treatment.0

No, summer is the best time of year, still outside until 9 or 10 at night, BBQ, friends garden parties, camping, day trips out, what's not to love with all that freedom?0 -
Nope, you're not the only one. I love this time of year too and the run up to Christmas, the other celebrations, the food, seeing the seasons change. It all feels 'new' after the hot summer.
That's not to say I don't enjoy summer too and I do like spring when you get the first real warmth in the sun and it feels like everything is waking up after a cold winter, but this is deff my fav time of year. Incidentally, I'm an autumn baby so perhaps there is something in that.Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

You are not alone, I love this time of year too - especially once the clocks go back. I am also a Winter baby, so perhaps you are right about that being the reason.0

I'm an autumn baby but have to say summer is probably my favourite time of the year. I don't really like spring (as I get hayfever) and I hate Christmas with a passion and quite honestly everything about it, except for the extra days off!0

I hate it when the summer ends. Along comes the endless months of 'christmas' (which IMO should only be every 2 years anyway), crappy weather, wet washing, layers of clothes, bare garden, muddy floors, high energy bills, fireworks, trick and freaking treating. Yuk, hate it. The only nice thing about it is the autumnal trees.
And I was a winter baby, so bang goes that theory

I'm a summer baby but I adore winter. To me there's nothing better than snuggling up all warm when it's dark and cold outside. Hot drinks and yummy food that is too hot to eat in summer. Plus all the great beer festivals and markets are in November and December.
my best memory of last year is being at the Birmingham Christmas Market and dancing with my OH after being drunk on mulled wine
