Seems very strange to just pop for a visit like that with no pressure arrangement or warnjngm . I wouldnt have appreciated it. Just do it to her at like 7 in the morning and pretend it's acceptable and see how she likes is..
Day 13 done and dusted. Still going strong with no sign of a hick up .
I'm actually away on a work trip for 3 days visiting another office which needs some help. I'm pretty happy they chose me to go as it means I'm fairly competent is doing my job right.
I should get most expenses back but I took out £30 for food and drink. Hopefully I don't spend anywhere near this but it's there if I have too.
I won't earn any overtime out of it but I should get an extra day off at some point due to the travelling. I will see what the boss says next week.
More fitness this morning, it's starting to get into a routine now it's great. Away to bed as I have t catch the early train.

Sounds as if you are doing really well in your job, MrCF, if the bosses are giving you so much responsibility:T. Even if you don't see many rewards for your work just yet (and may even have to spend a bit more than you'd normally do:() it will all be being noted and will stand you in great stead for the future with the company. It sounds as if they are placing a lot of trust in you.
Good for you:beer:0 -
Thanks CBC. I do enjoy my job, it's just OH gets annoyed at the long trips and long hours. Plus I sometimes take work home with me as I want to impress
Day 14 flew by. One more day at the company HQ then back to my lovely office. Sometimes you don't realise how good things are until you loose them I.e helpful colleagues.
I've only spent £10 out of the £30 I took so it's not too bad. I'm in work early this morning as they offered me overtime to get things ready for another presentation. I couldn't turn down overtime :rotfl:
At least my fitness isn't getting affected. The lovely thing about being in a city your not used to is getting to explore places during my morning run.
So glad the weekend looks like nice weather, I defo deserve a beer in the garden.
Wishing everyone a happy Wednesday.

Day 16 complete. Busy busy few days. Back at normal company office so all is good. Still on track and I feel great. A few days and it will be 3 weeks of no gambling. Will do proper update tomorrow as I require sleep after my long day.

Happy man today :j:j:j
My manager asked for a sit down meeting today and was pleased with everything I was doing. For the good work and commitment, he said he had authorized 10 hours overtime for me as a reward. I don't even have to work anything extra for it. I was very happy. Obviously it does pay to work hard
Didn't spend the full £30 which I took out for being away at company HQ. I put the £19 change into my emergency pot, which I have renamed as my dog fund. I spoke with OH about the opportunity of getting a dog and she was delighted. I couldn't keep it a secret as we both needed to get some days off around the time and it wouldn't have worked otherwise. Also we will split the cost on it so it will be cheaper for me. The overtime from work over the last 2 weeks will probably pay for a fair chunk of my half.
Car loan came out on the 15th so all that's left to come out before payday is Loan 2 which should come out on Monday. I have no planned spends before payday so whatever is left I will either withdraw and add to the dog fund or use it to overpay loan 2.
More family visiting tonight so it's going to be another busy one.
Still no reading getting done but i'm keeping very busy so its all good.
Oh, I nearly forgot....Another payout from TCB. Remember back at the beginning of May or June when I started gambling again because I wanted to sign up and get cash back through TCB, well my last payout of about £20 finally came through so that's on its way to my bank account. More money for over-payments
Phone is still going strong and doing well.
Take care everyone.

I'm so happy for you, MrCF. Everything seems to be falling into place now, thanks to your hard work and determination to move on from your temporary gambling blip.
Work is going well, your bosses obviously think very highly of you, you're working really hard to pay off your debts and be sensible with your spending, you've a new home with your girlfriend, a dog to look forward to and you're keeping fit as well. That's a lot of positives:T:beer::j
Don't blow it!
Enjoy your weekend:beer:0 -
CBC - Your kind words mean so much I'm so thankful. Out of your post, I found the most important words to be 'don't blow it'!
It really showed me that even other people see how I am doing and what good things I have got going for me. I can't blow it.
When I read what someone else has to say, it always sounds more real rather than me talking to myself.
Day 18 done and dusted and all is still good on the money front. I logged into online banking to see that loan 2 is already showing as a pending transaction and is due to come out monday. After that is paid, I will have £215 left over. If I add the £20 TCB payment that makes it £235. So from that I say il have at least £200 to save / overpay.
Will post up my debt figures next week once loan 2 has properly come out and the balance changes. That should be well under £600 then and probably will be paid off very soon.
Me and OH had a fall out earlier over silly stuff but always love a make up. Makes things so much better.
I hope everyone enjoys there weekend.
