  • Gambling Free day 4

Has has been pretty good, got up early and went out for a run. I struggled big time as its been years since I did any running, but one must try I suppose.

I've arranged to go running with a friend next week who does 5 miles through forests etc. Should be interesting.

My apple tv sold for £80 on ebay last night. If I take away the postage cost and the selling feels, I cleared £70. My new android box cost £32 and I've spent another £18 on various bits and bobs for my new phone. I withdrew £20 today for money at the post office and i'm left with £16 in change. This will be my spending money for next week should I need any.

Still waiting for lots of transactions to come off the account until I know exactly what I have left for the month.

Really enjoying coming on here everyday, definitely a moral booster.

Haven't got much energy left after my run and i'm feeling a bit sore. The diet starts Monday aswel. Think it's going to be a lazy night lying on the sofa, whilst keeping busy on here or doing work stuff.

I set up the over-payment to loan 2 this morning to bring my monthly debt contributions to £900. This will start the beginning of next month.

Other than that, not much news. Appreciate the replies and kind words.

Mothernerd - I'm not one for jumping around but hopefully doing more exercise will make more tired and not willing to stay up late etc. Most of my gambling was at night when OH went to bed..

  • Still dropping in and reading your thread with great interest, MrCF. I'm sorry I haven't posted on it much recently:o but I'm cheering you on from the sidelines:j

Wishing you the best of luck:beer:.
    Have a good weekend
  • Thanks CBC, it does mean a lot. Your doing so well on the make £10 a day challenge . Keep it up those figures are fantastic.

And it's onto gambling free day 5.

I feel great, although I sure I have a sleeping disorder as I physically can't get out of bed until after 10. That's nearly a 12 hour sleep oops :)

Just back from another run, loving this fitness. It's getting me healthier and I'm not sitting around on my bum :D

Going out for late lunch/dinner with a family member today so il use my £16 from yesterday. Hopefully it won't cost a lot.

I've made a decision and I've not downloaded any banking apps on my new phone. It is so easy to go into accounts and move money etc. I know there is enough in the bank to cover everything so I will just leave it and check it weekly, making sure there is no suspicious payments. Sometimes you have to step back before you go forward.

Will do some washing and cleaning whilst watching the tennis I think.

    Enjoy your Sunday everyone.

  • It's been a week :j

7 whole days of no gambling!

Been doing lots of fitness and eating really well. Also bagged a few hours overtime last night so was delighted. Although making up a 20 slide presentation was boring haha.

Will hopefully get time to properly get on here this week. Haven't spent anything so all in going well.

    Thanks for reading.

  • Thanks you two - encouragement goes a long way. Can't believe how fast the days are flying by.

Day 8 completed and status still intact :j

Busy day in the office today, lots of bosses in so I had to work extra hard to look good. Because the bosses were visiting I got asked to do an extra 2 hours so more overtime for me :D

Off to bed as I've got fitness early in the morning. Living this healthy eating malarkey, however the taste of veg doesn't get any better haha.

    Take care folks

Well done on sticking to your plans MrCF. All going really well apart from your reading by the looks of things;). What are you reading at the moment? As an avid reader myself I sympathise with anyone who can't get lost in a book at this time of year. I just find everything too distracting, not least the weather:o

As you're on a fitness kick and don't sound as if you're too keen on eating veggies I wondered if you have a garden. I think you've mentioned cutting the grass but have you enough space to grow vegetables? I promise you there's nothing like the taste of stuff you've grown yourself and picked freshly from your own garden. Plus, the exercise, especially if it involves a lot of digging to get the plot ready, is a bonus:j
  • Day 9 complete with no issues. I feel myself that I'm doing well so I now have a little more inner belief.

Another fitness session this morning. Feeling fantastic, although the muscles are a little sore :rotfl:

Had a massive tub of salad today, much nicer than veg and it's actually enjoyable to eat. Will be buying lots of salad when we do the next house shop.

CBC - don't have anywhere do grow my own stuff but could potentially build one. Although I'm saving the garden for our dog - were planning getting one later in the year. It's going to be a surprise for OH as she's had a pretty rough last year or so.
It will also help with my fitness and it will be the best thing on earth. It will be our little baby. I've wanted a dog all my life and this may be the perfect oppertunity/time. I have also been told I can take off about 4 weeks at work to help it get settled in new sourlundings . This is time owed to me so it could be perfect timing.

Remember sssshhhh it's a surprise haha. I will update everyone on my plan for this closer to the time.

Listening to music whilst lying back relaxing. Maybe some reading on the weekend.

    Until tomorrow, goodnight ;)
