Help - Was I Mis-sold my Car?

  • There you go, hurling personal abuse again when you don't like what someone writes about you.

You have removed your offensive remark about me, only to replace it with something else.

We have seen on these forums countless examples of where an OP has lost the plot, and is not hearing what they want to hear, they resort to throwing personal abuse. You are no different.

I changed the word a**ehole to idiot, which you are when you accuse someone of lying with no cause or reason. Hardly personal abuse

    We have seen

This is my point about the herd mentality, speaking for everyone and classing yourself as we

I understand that I could be wrong and if I am I can accept that but there are ways of going about telling people that but most of you have purposely tried to be nasty rather than helpful, that's the point you're missing

Anyway, the kids are back at school now. Isn't there a playground you should all be at picking on someone??

I have checked my previous posts and nowhere can I see where I have accused you of lying. Perhaps you could point out where I have done so?

In the meantime, may l suggest you consult the Urban Dictionary and look up the meaning of Goon. Some of the words it gives are so appropŕiate for you - idiot , fool, moron and stupid are amongst the nicest. Or ie, which is an abrevisation for that is. Combine the two and we have - you! That which is a goon.

Ok, enough of the personal comments.

OP in answer to your original question of "Was I mis-sold my car", my answer would be no.

Here endeth my input, as i won't bring myself down to the level of these posts.

First off I'll say that I know nothing about DPFs.

I do wonder why the car was fine for 9 months and then suffered the problem twice in July and once in August. That tells me that the choice of car was fine but something changed in June/July.

Change of journey pattern maybe? Is there a technical reason that could cause this?

The DPF clogs up over time with dirty particulates. The car then tries to clean it, but if you're not giving the car long enough runs to heat up enough to clean it, then it remains clogged, to the point, eventually where it cant be cleared at all and needs replaced.

So basically its been a build up over time.

    Bipolar by any chance?

What was the point in leaving your first post only to write your second? You have edited your first post after you've edited your second so why not just remove the first altogether if you'd changed your opinion?

But yes I'm responsible for Britain's blame culture and it's all my fault. God must be missing all his angels when they're all too busy posting on here

And you wonder why you're not getting much sympathy.

Thanks, at last another sensible post.

Thanks for this. How are you ever meant to know though if you have no DPF warning light? The manual itself even says this should come on but it doesn't. This morning I was sat in traffic on the motorway and I'm panicking that the rev's aren't high enough but there's nothing I can do about it. Obviously that is not right

    Here you go:

He also says in his latest post that he's been away 'on the road', so no five mile jaunt this time. Is the car suitable for what you've been using it for recently? (Or he'll be telling us he used some other car).

Very clever play on words, perhaps you should look up smurfing...
