OMG, I had some raw carrot today in the form of batons. I haven't eaten raw carrot since I was a child . I couldn't chew them ..... I have false teeth. Wow, it was terrible.;)
I remember I used to love raw carrot, eating an apple is almost as bad I have to peel them and slice pieces off. :D
I thought, if I make batons which are only thin pieces, they would be ok. But, no, raw carrot is now off the menu I shall have to cook them
    in future.
The moral of the story is.. To KEEP your own teeth for as long as possible lol x :D:D:T

With the end of my holiday in sight, I've decided I'm going to try my best with SW so will try to post on here again, share my menus etc. I've not really done anything for a few months and my weight has crept up again. Silly me.

    Welcome Flat Eric :hello:

Welcome back Fat Eric, sorry typo, Flat Eric :D I was SOTW in case you hadn't heard?

Think I may have had a mini victory again in the same vein as the chips. I'll explain as I know you're all hanging off my every word, seeing as how I was SOTW ~

A girl in my class brought me in a piece of her birthday cake. It was chocolate sponge, with Malteesers, Oreos and Chocolate Fingers around the edge. IT looked fantastic, but my instant reaction was that I should just throw it away as ''I'm on a diet".

But then I remembered that Mildredd and I are trying to be 'normal' and eat like 'normal people do' so I figured a normal person would eat it, for pudding, and enjoy it and not worry.

So, I ate it after tea. I didn't have the FF yog that I would normally have had, and I won't be having my evening chocolate bar. It was really really delicious. I took my time and savoured it. It was a real treat, which it would be for a normal person because you shouldn't have things like that everyday. But I was having that sort of thing everyday, several times a day, when I was on a binge, and it was never that nice? Because it wasn't a treat? In fact, on several occations I forced myself to eat stuff like that just to get it out of the way. Like it was a chore! I am so mental.

So anyway, that felt quite good. I'm NOT going to have anything else now. I'm done thank you. All in all it's been a good 2 days what with 'chocolate cake gate' and I got SOTW in case anyone didn't hear?

    Hope everyone else is good?

    xxxx

    Durham_mim. I might just try that what a good idea. X :T
  • Wizkid I can't eat raw carrot in batons or in a carrot form
But grated I can do it just goes a bit soft and well sweetens a salad really

So like froggy said we are trying to be normal - aka not beating ourselves up over a treat which in turn would lead to a binge and a week or more off plan - truthfully it's working? I'm not really counting syns well I am but it's more a ok a normal person would have a drink in costa on a date n then pull back for the rest of the day?

I now need to find a pair of good jeans for a 2nd date :/

Froggy your sow?! You kept that quiet!!!!

Frogga and Mildred sounds like you're doing fabulously! I was so good at this for a few years, I lost 3.5 stone 5 years ago, it's only been in the last year that a stone's gone back on - hence being here... now.

You are so right that things taste SO much better when they are a treat, when you savour every morsel!

I'd got so lax, especially with crisps... I'm actually enjoying my food immensely now!
