Somebody I know just told me they lost 11lbs in 3 weeks on SW. So I'm thinking... can I please have a slice of that hommity pie?

I used to do this in 2004 and lost a few lbs then, but stopped because I found my super active lifestyle was keeping the pounds off anyway. I am no longer in a place where I can walk all the way to work (which was a huge help) and running a secondary sedentary job on the side so am in the danger zone again now.

Ah... the weight at which I 'joined' SW back then, was 13lbs lighter than now...

So, I need to lose 14lbs to squeak within the healthy range. Please may I join you and that be my target?

Think I am best starting on Sunday as I have to travel for the next two days then have a wedding... I will do my very best to avoid cake and try not to booze it up on cider. :A

Morning you lovely lot. I am up and mega organised today, we should have a referendum up here every day!!! I'm hoping I will automatically be 7lbs lighter if Scotland go independent - they might have different scales!!!! :rotfl:

Maybe the yes politicans should have guaranteed that and they'd have had 98% of the women voting yes :rotfl: i feel they've missed a trick!

Kiwisaver, hope all is well in Kiwiland.

Yes all good with me, I'm still protesting and went out shopping after work, came home late and made dinner enough for two but just dished up my own. :D Himself soon got up off his backside to investigate but would have been majorly disappointed when he got to the kitchen and saw what it was - all of his favourite things (not). :rotfl:

    B. Greek Yoghurt (1) & Raspberries
    L. Cold Bacon/Tomato Pasta Bake (again) with salad
    D. HM Coronation chicken made with half mayo, half yoghurt and a teaspoon Pataks Tikka Masala Paste with a few sultanas, jacket potato and salad with yellow peppers and pea sprouts.

Don't know how many syns to count in the chicken; I split it three ways with one portion in my salad for lunch tomorrow - hoping 3 at most as I had two chocolate Tim Tams which I'm counting as 5.5 each as they're much like a Penguin. :D

Pah, feel like I'm getting a cold. If I do I am going to take to my bed and hope to sweat off the pounds!! Menu for today:

    B - Fruit & yoghurt (0.5)
L - Bolognese sauce with pasta
D - Salmon fillet with salad and new pots (2.5)

Snacks - Muller Light toffee yoghurt and a pack of Quavers (4)

    Syns - 7
  • Ok....feeling a bit puzzled

When I did SW successfully before, Chow Mein was always the thing to have from the Chinese Takeaway - I'm sure it was only 12 syns so I used to have half a portion of that and some boiled rice. I'm sure it was what was always spoken about at group as being the best thing to have?

I've just looked in the book and now Chicken Chow Mein is 16 syns (I would assume that would be the same for veggie as well as chicken), and blackbean sauce and oyster sauce only seem to be 4/5 syns. Has this changed or have I always been doing this wrong?

I have had a good day, though extremely busy since picking the kids after school.By the time we sat down to tea,I was shaking with hunger .Been a long time since that happened.

I'm not advocating starvation but :T for waiting for your dinner. It would have been so easy to grab a chocolate bar or something synful.

Thought of you last night lantanna. I went to Chinese buffet and they had your favourite curry. ;) I had a stir fry. Very healthy (provided you don't count the samosa, spring rolls, chips that went with it).

I could be wrong but I'm sure consultant said something about the sauce mix used in the vast amount of restaurants nationwide has changed recipe. Maybe someone else can offer another explanation.

Can't remember who asked but After 8 Muller is free.:)
