Reminder of the homity pie recipe since the original link is many, many pages back!
Mine is all constructed ready to be baked later. I've tweaked it though. Personal taste, I've left the thyme out but put in some mixed herbs. Instead of just potato, as there was stuff to use up in my fridge its got a root veg mash of potato, carrot, parsnip & swede. Also put a bit of courgette in with the onions and leeks.
And to correct my cooking error from last time (ahem) when I may have slightly burnt the fried veggies and then the stock when I flung it in a very hot panI boiled the root veg in with a stock cube, then strained it out and used that stock to add into the other veg as it cooked.
Hopefully that will still work! It looks nicer than last time to be honest, but the proof will of course be in the eating:heartpuls Daughter born January 2012 :heartpuls Son born February 2014 :heartpuls

wizkid1 so sorry SW isn't working for you
I'm so very sorry too wiz. I know you've been trying really hard and I hoped you'd turned a corner. If it doesn't work this week. I think you need to talk to your GP again.* I hate cauli with a passion but saw someone on TV yesterday that roasted it until really golden (with loads of oil and parmesan cheese of course) and it looked really lovely - so I stopped and got a cauli on the way home and had a go at roasting some with just a little spray of oil and loads of salt and pepper. It could have done with a bit longer as it was a bit underdone but I couldn't wait any longer. It wasn't totally horrid though and I ate a few florets straight out of the tin. I might try again and blanch or par-boil some next time to make it a little bit softer.
We're all different, cauli is one of my absolute favourites. I'm trying to steer away from cauli cheese for a few weeks (synful HM sauce) but grated Parmesan comes up very light so sprinking that on your roasted cauli should be easy within a HEA or synned.
Frogga (great loss BTW to you and all the others:)) I copied this from the CoS document. You really are being taken advantage of!!
53.2 No teacher may be required under their contract of employment as a teacher to undertake midday supervision.

That homity pie tweak sounds good crabapple. You've added in lots of SFs which is great. Let us know how it tastes.
Good day for me. I'm feeling very bloated after weekend but I'm going to keep plodding. Next meal out is Wednesday.
Today's EE plan:
B: NAS Ribena, HEB porage, HEA milk
L: coffee and grazed on chicken and picklesliver & onions, carrots, cabbage, cauli, peas and mash
Syns: gravy, squirt of syrup

Thanks for the Well done's
TIE and MAMAN, I'm not a 'teacher' I'm a 'tutor' which is a nonqualified role, and as support staff I don't come under the same rules. also I chose to do a lunch duty as I get paid £6 for each half hour duty which is really worth it. SO it is my choice, but thanks for worrying about me :ASay it once, say it loud ~ I'm an Atheist, Anti-Royalist, Socialist, Tea-Total Veggie Frog and PROUD!:D

Thank you for the 'well done' posts ~ I'm really glad I stuck with it now
ruby_eskimo & Mildredd, well done on your losses :T
wizkid1, glad you're sticking with SW for now. I'm another one who pays for days off-plan. Apologies for TMI, but do you suffer from water retention?? Do you 'go' to the loo regularly??I know it's a bit personal, so don't feel you have to answer. I just know that with SW I'm always on the loo!!
Kiwisaver, have you tried the cauliflower raw?? It's a completely different taste to when it's cooked.'A watched potato will never chit'...0 -
Hi All,
One of "those" days, culminating with an emergency trip to vets for poor doggie woggie (will be fine now) so menu not quite as planned but on plan
B: Toast, marmite, flora light (1/2)
L: sw chips (fat ones) mushrooms, bacon, egg, tiny bit of ketchup
s: FINGER OF FUDGE (I've decided Monday is finger of fudge day)
Jacket Potato, tuna, el mayo, peppers followed by strawbs & melon
s: toffee muller light
7 syns total
I'd have had salad proper with the jacket pot, but just couldn't be bothered once I got in from vets
Wizkid1, I've got a suggestion, not sure it's particularly SW friendly, but just a suggestion - you said you're eating a lot of fruit, to make up for the lack of veg, could you cut down on fruit and eat carrots every day (replace carrots with which ever one veg you like). Fruit is really high in sugar, although it's good natural sugar, I know when my mum was dieting she couldn't understand why she wasn't losing (she wasn't doing slimming world) and she cut out some fruit and lost easily. Like I say it's just a suggestion, others might not agree with me, but it would be worth a try? Not suggesting no fruit, just suggesting not so much? xxStarted SW on 18 August 2014 - Total Weight Loss 12 lbs :T

I agree with you mupelle. I quite understand the sugar argument so it's got to be worth a try. I eat very little fruit (mainly because I can't be bothered) compared with veg.
P.S. Glad dog's on the mend.0 -
