However, she came back to me a bit later & apologised for talking about people being overweight & then telling me there wasn't anything wrong with me & she didn't want me thinking she was talking about people being overweight because I was overweight, because I wasn't!! Talk about digging herself a hole :( I was mortified & couldn't wait to get home & have a good cry :(

Oh dear Poppy, on the Bright side at least she realised afterwards that she had said the wrong thing and tried unsuccessfully to make amends. She's probably feeling bad too!

Sometimes we say things without thinking or just trying to make conversation; I commented on someone's lunch at work (massive bowl of chopped fruit and yoghurt) which in itself was unusual and she said something I didn't quite hear but it was a new thing and the first time in her life she was trying to have something healthy for lunch and if she didn't like it, she wasn't doing it again. I should have sensed she wasn't keen to talk about it but I carried on and asked what I thought was an innocent sort of question; 'Are you following a particular plan or just doing your own thing?' and then it became all very awkward and she let it be known she didn't want the lunch anymore.

I still feel bad for having asked that fateful question in case I have sabotaged her efforts and no doubt she's feeling upset with me too. She of course had no context of where I would be coming in terms of my own effort to lose weight and following SW and probably just saw me as an insensitive/evil/witchy/&(*%"

Anyway I did lose another 0.5 pound this week please Shala

Not sure what's on my plan for today, other than making some SW Pork & Sage Burgers to have with rest of yesterdays Homity pie.
    Mortgage
    Start January 2017: $268,012
    Latest balance $266,734
    Reduction: $1,278.45

Todays and tomorows menu isgoing to the same. I have doubled up as planning to spend the weekend crafting for Christmas fair.

Apart from taking out of fridge and pinging to reheat kitchen duties should be minimal, well I suppose I should wash up at some point:rotfl:

    Morning :)

Thank you MupElle, maman & Kiwisaver. I know this woman wasn't being malicious, she just let her mouth run away with her. It was embarrassing & I had a good cry over it, but I'm pre-menstrual so probably a bit over-sensitive at the moment :o

MupElle, how are you feeling today??

meg72, today's (& tomorrow's) food looks gorgeous. The potatoes look like 'proper, done in the oven' potatoes & the beef looks so nice  What cut is it??

    Green day:

B - branflakes (HEB1), raspberries, blueberries, Greek yoghurt (3.5 syns)
L - loaded potato skins (HEA1 cheese) & salad with boiled egg
D - SW Homity pie (HEA2) with beans or mushy peas & wholemeal pitta (HEB2)

I also have the last bowl of HM lentil & veg soup to fit in somewhere. Pear & clementines for snacks.

Hope everyone has a lovely weekend.

Forgot to say, well done Kiwisaver for losing this week. And you too, Maisie :T

Saver, I eat raw red onion at least twice a day (3 times yesterday) so probably always stink of onion :o:rotfl:

Please can someone clarify how many whole almonds are a HEB?? In my SW book (about 4 years old) it says 10, but on the HEB list on page 1 of this thread it says 20??

Also, please can someone tell me how many syns are in Ryvita Hint of Chilli crispbreads?? I know you can have 3 for a HEB, so I'm guessing about 2 syns each?? I had 2 last night with 1/2 HEA Philly light pod & red onion & they were lovely.

    Thank you.

Aww sorry that womans thoughtless comments made you cry,
but sometimes that's what is needed to feel better.

Yes they are proper done in the oven potatoes, I usually stick 2 or three in oven when roasting meat. They are so usesful to keep in freezer. The beef was to p rump bought reduced in Morrisons when we had the half price voucher. I got a really nice joint for £2.00 and loads still left in freezer.

    morning

Been a busy week, DD's birthday which somehow made my brain think it was ok to eat croissants, crusty rolls, cake and other horrible things. I really don't understand myself sometimes.
One day so happy losing weight and being on plan, the next, cramming in as much bread and carb products in as I can.

but hey, I can't give up. Got my actifry yesterday, made chicken and peppers and onions in it for fajitas last night. It was really good.

Found some good recipes, someone even cooked an omelette in theirs

Going to do chips in them today. Does it work with frylight or do I have to use oil?

not looking forward to weigh in tomorrow.

Hope you are all doing well, I am away to read back a few pages
