pinkpoppy - can i ask another questions about your potato skins - do you make a big batch or do you make them fresh each day? i was just wondering how well they keep in the fridge or freezer.

I usually just make enough for 1 or 2 days, zapping them in the microwave on the second day. They're not quite as nice reheated on the second day if I'm honest, but still nice enough. I hadn't thought about making a bigger batch & freezing them, let me know if you try it :)

Welcome & good luck to the newbies

Thanks for adding me Shala I have only just realised you were all over here:o
This challenge is really important for me. I go to Australia in 10 weeks and really want to be in the 11's by then.
Weigh in tomorrow. I've been an angel this week but really struggling to get down into that next stone. Fingers crossed I've lost. I shall report in tomorrow.
Hope everyone is having a good day x

    Good morning lovelies

Today I have been at sw for 1 year exactly and lost 4 st 10lb (actually less as I will have gained today)
Today I'm drawing a line and starting again - no more cheats, binges or stretching of the plan
    Wish me luck!

Well done Mildredd on your fab loss over the past year. You haven't had the easiest of times through the year and you deserve a huge pat on the back. Together we can crack this healthy eating lark ;)

Had a couple of lovely discoveries this weekend. I had a bath for the first time in ages (I'm a shower girl, not filthy!) and it was so much more comfy. I could move around in there and had space at the sides of me, I didn't create a tidal wave when I sat up :rotfl:

My back to basics week is going well still. Not been off plan at all. Should get me my 2 stone shiny tomorrow night, fingers crossed.

I know what you mean about the tidal waves Crabapple :o :rotfl: Having our bath taken out in a couple of months time so I have to have as many long soaks as I can before then :D

Hope you get the shiney you are hoping for ;)

NO moaning all positive positive positives from the Fat Frog today ;)

I shall weigh in on Monday's, and possibly just post then. I just can't keep up otherwise, Frogs are slow readers.

SO starting weight is 17st 11lb. I actually thought it would be about 50 stone, well, maybe 45 stone no need to exaggerate, so I'm thrilled with 17 stone.

My target will be 26lb please Shala, then I can be 15 something. It's doable, I put it on really quick, I'll get it off don't worry.

I won't be joining a real life SW group again, but I'm sending my £5 through the airwaves to Maman if that's ok? 'PING' There you go.

    Good luck all of us

OMG frogga you certainly mean business with a target like that. We are roughly around the same 'numbers' and I feel as though I have whimped out by setting a target of 12 :o. Can I just say - I love reading your posts.

I'm just creeping in quietly. I have been reading. Can I please join the challenge Shala- goal: 1stone

I have finally lost the first stone since Jan, mostly lost during the summer where I have decluttered my house and let go of a lot of stuff and issues. It's amazing how much better I feel. Started my new position at work and this weight is holding me back. I've started swimming in the evening instead of mindless munching in front of the tv.
It's great to read you are all still plodding on. Going on a plane in Oct, would be nice if I didn't have to panic about the seatbelt fitting around me.

Have a lovely day, full of delicious food

Hairy Biker's recipe sounds fab Maman, will have a google later.

It really was excellent. DH even said at breakfast 'wow, that was a really lovely meal last night' so obviously left an impression.

Not an accusation! I use them too, easier and quicker and very few syns in half a pouch.

I cook my own basmati but always buy the pilau for an Indian. Aldi's pilau, microwaveable is only 1 syn for the whole pouch.

    EE plan for today:
B: NAS Ribena, HEB toast, 2 boiled eggs
    L: ham, beetroot, fried veggies
D: gammon, SW chips, cauli & broccoli cheese
Syns: scrape of spread, cheese sauce (although some syns offset by HEA as haven't had much tea today).
  • Hi. I've just registered at MSE but I have been reading for a long time.
Please may I join you on the new challenge? I would like to lose 7lbs.
I am a Mum of two, have been at slimming world group since February but although I have lost weight, a three week all-inclusive holiday has put paid to a lot of it.
I weigh in on a Wednesday morning at class.
I love seeing your menus and look forwards to sharing mine with you.

It's another loss however small. I would like a nice surprise sometime with a 3 or 4 lb loss but it won't happen. It will be slow but sure, but, it seems to be taking forever. :D
Anyway, congratulations to all those who have lost like me and encouragements to those who gave stayed the same or gained. Don't worry it will happen just keep at it and it will pay off . Just remember, we are eating healthily Good luck for the Autumn.:T:T:T

Well done on your loss wiz :T
