Morning,
New thread!!!
Autumn! Pah - However on a plus I love scarfs and it will soon be soup and stew weather.
Weekend wasn't too bad - slightly too much bread but other than that relatively ok.
Big week ahead - Article in the paper and District Final on Sunday. Not to mention whatever non SW related life throws at me this week!
Being super on it - I want the 2 off I'd gained last week off on thurs.
My interesting fact for the day is I bought a sweet potato the size of me in Lidl for 91p on Saturday.
Why this amuses me so much I have no idea but it really was a beast of a sweet potato!! :rotfl:
Frogga - glad to see you are back in the zone! :j
Mildredd - You may not be were you want to be a year on - but you have shown commitment and courage to battle on with it and stick at it - even when you haven't been well. Many people would have walked away by now and given up! A year shows how you've made a real change for life. Your in my club!!! You 'll get to were you want to be! :T
Annie - Thank you so much for the last chart!
Shala - Thanks for the new chart
Rite folks lets kill this and get slinky for Santa!!! :santa2:0 -
Good Morning and welcome tori and philsmum :hello:0

Morning all.
Shala Thank you for the new thread and the new challenge.
Still determined as ever to losing more weight. I lost 2st in just over a year but I have been stuck around the same weight for at least 7 months now and am really struggling and feeling discouraged. However, I can't go back to my old ways and I WILL keep plodding on in the hope that some day the weight will begin to drop again. My plan of attack at the moment is to reduce my portion sizes. I days away coming up, we are going to Uni open days with DS and then we may have a few days just for ourselves. I need to learn to have these breaks and still stick to plan. In the last year my social life has really taken off, I hardly went anywhere before. I'm really enjoying it but it is hard when you are trying to lose weight. When I talk about losing weight now with my friends they are starting to disbelieve me because I haven't lost weight in such a long time. My over riding fear is gaining all the weight back (even whilst sticking to plan) and not being able to get into my lovely new clothes. I'm toying with the idea of giving up on the Callanetics to see if that makes a difference but I'm reluctant to as it has been hard work getting to the standard I'm at and I find it really helps with the ME and I love the way my body is looking more toned. I may not be losing llbs or inches but my shape is definately changing for the better.
Sorry for the monologue

Hi, just wanted to query the Basmati rice syns. Is this because it's a pouch? I eat Tesco boil in the bag and thought it was free on EE and green - can anyone confirm one way or the other please?Start weight 13st10 (on 06/07/14) - 1st Goal 11st9 (by 14/12/14 - 23 weeks)

Syns online says boil in the bag is free on Green and EE yes. I guess the rice lioness is having is one of the microwave ones which have a little oil in so have to be synned.:heartpuls Daughter born January 2012 :heartpuls Son born February 2014 :heartpuls

I'm just creeping in quietly. I have been reading. Can I please join the challenge Shala- goal: 1stone
I have finally lost the first stone since Jan, mostly lost during the summer where I have decluttered my house and let go of a lot of stuff and issues. It's amazing how much better I feel. Started my new position at work and this weight is holding me back. I've started swimming in the evening instead of mindless munching in front of the tv.
It's great to read you are all still plodding on. Going on a plane in Oct, would be nice if I didn't have to panic about the seatbelt fitting around me.
Have a lovely day, full of delicious food0 -
Hi. I've just registered at MSE but I have been reading for a long time.
Please may I join you on the new challenge? I would like to lose 7lbs.
I am a Mum of two, have been at slimming world group since February but although I have lost weight, a three week all-inclusive holiday has put paid to a lot of it.
I weigh in on a Wednesday morning at class.
I love seeing your menus and look forwards to sharing mine with you.

Today's menu:-
HE a skim milk
HE b 2 alpen lights (this evening)
B fresh figs and ff nat yog
L jacket spud and cottage cheese with watercress
D peppered quorn steaks sw chips salad and syn free BBQ sauce
I will be having some syns but haven't decided what yet.
I know this may look like a veggie/green day menu but I aren't vegetarian. I try not to have extra HE's as I get too used to having them and then struggle to do without them when I switch back to EE.0 -

Hiya everyone I posted on the old thread and now we have a new one So I am re-posting my success .:T
It's another loss however small. I would like a nice surprise sometime with a 3 or 4 lb loss but it won't happen. It will be slow but sure, but, it seems to be taking forever.
Anyway, congratulations to all those who have lost like me and encouragements to those who gave stayed the same or gained. Don't worry it will happen just keep at it and it will pay off . Just remember, we are eating healthily Good luck for the Autumn.:T:T:T0
