catch upper, well done on STS if you've had buffets... You must have made some wiser choices than previously, so well done :T
My strategy for this week - I have a birthday dinner to prepare for my dad on Saturday, he likes a good homemade pie so pastry all round  then Xmas day I won't be going too mad but like maman I think it'll be the Boxing Day sandwiches and nibbles that will get me...
The rest of the days I plan to be on plan... I fully expect a gain so I'm ok with it, hopefully it'll come off again quite quickly.
OH turned up yesterday with a cheese and wine basket from work, so I canceled all the cheeses i's ordered in the shopping. The pieces of cheese are smaller than the ones I'd ordered so we'll be eating a lot less cheese this year :j instead of eating it to "use it up"
We have a morning weigh in for Saturday 27th which I'll take with a pinch of salt anyway as it'll be skewed because of the timing (hopefully it'll show less of a gain :rotfl:) then I can't make the New Year one as I'll be at work
Can't wait to get back to normalMortgage amount at 31/12/2011 £166,050 now £0 as at Sept 21 - 15yrs 4 months early.0 -
Morning
Reporting in with the results of this weeks weigh in and I've lost 2lbs, which means I've achieved my slinky target! :j
I'm delighted because I really didn't think it was going to happen this week, but I managed to 'go' last night (tmi I know, sorry), it would have been a different story otherwise.
I need to stay focused through the festivities so I'm setting myself a mini target to lose another 2lbs by 2nd January. We're away next Friday so no weigh in, the 2nd is the following Friday.
Good luck to everyone still to weigh in, and well done everyone whatever the result - we all deserve a pat on the back for not giving in to all the temptations out there!

Hi, we are back from Scotland a little tired and feeling like I need healthy food.
Those ready meals sound ok for a quick and easy tea - have my eye on the sweet potato curry - and will be hunting them down in the new year.
Hope you are all ok and I'm off to catch up on the thread now.0 -
My plan of attack for Christmas is as follows:
I'm good apart from the following
Saturday: Chinese & Alcohol out
Tuesday: Out for drinks with the boys from work
Christmas Day: Free for all - eat whatever I like. Proper roasties and pigs in blankets are my fave. I don't eat desert usually so some nice cheese will be mine : )
Boxing Day: Same as Christmas day but hold back a little
New Years Eve: No plans as yet but if I am sitting in on my own I will have a Chinese or Indian & a bottle of wine
I will pick one night and have a big bag of salt & vinegar crisps and dips! (I've been looking forward to this all year!)
And that's it really - the rest of the time I intend of being good and going to the gym every day apart from the big 3. I'm off work for 12 days so I will have more time to be good and be healthy (really looking forward to it)!
Last year I put on 3lbs in the 2 weeks over xmas and new year so I hope this year it will be something similar. I will enjoy myself as always but limit the damage hopefully!!!0 -

Thanks for the list, might try a couple but I think they are expensive. I heard they were doing sauces in jars too, anyone else heard this?Slimming World at target0 -
Hello everyone,
I've been lurking on this thread since the summer when I joined SW. I've not posted because I didn't feel like I had much to contribute but I just wanted to say thank you to you all. I've learned so much from following this thread, picked up loads of tips and inspiration.
I hope you all have a good xmas & new year.0 -
