Sorry, had no chance to read all the messages. Currently in the airport waiting to board the plane to Athens. Have no idea if I will be 'online' next week if not, but Shala, please, can you add STS for me for next week's weigh in?

Will try and reasonably good while away, and maybe squeeze in a visit or two to hotel's gym (all packed in the suitcase so no excuses).

Updated the chart with everyone's results to here.. ginvzt have added you a sts for next week. Enjoy Athens :T

Mich - the SW meals look nice in their packaging - even if I don't buy them i'll steal the ideas and freeze my own :rotfl: I had a bit of a mooch round again on Instagram and found the lady you follow who does Weetabix muffins..

Might try making some, I assume it's not food abuse for the Weetabix (oo-er :D) as SW did there own version of Weetabix cake didn't they??

I need to up my fibre intake a little so these would be good in the freezer as an emergency thing.. I hope they're ok!!

Really struggling today to not eat biscuits :( think i'd break if OH wasn't standing strong..

Food menu as I haven't posted for a long time, green day
    B - none, too lazy
L - cheesy chilli fries (hea)
T - pasta bake (cheese hea) chicken (heb) roast veg
S - chocolate (2) Satsuma, apple, quark dip with options (2)
    Mortgage amount at 31/12/2011 £166,050 now £0 as at Sept 21 - 15yrs 4 months early.

  • Welcome Jpscloud! I'm in a similar situation and joined up last week. I was a member previously and spent weeks talking myself into and kept it up for about 9 months. This time I just suddenly decided to do it, no messing around and went to a meeting the next day! Hoping I can make it stick this time.

First weigh in yesterday - lost 3lbs. Was hoping for a bit more in a first week (did 6lbs in my first week the last time around) but what will be will be.

B - bacon, eggs, sausage (4.5), beans, tomatos, toast (HEB)
    S - toffee popcorn (11), clementine
D - Roast chicken, chorizo (2), roast potatoes, carrots, peas, gremolata, greek muller (0.5)

Thanks to all for the warm welcomes and encouragement, you are a lovely bunch!

I might not be able to follow the plan exactly for a few weeks, but I will go and weigh and stay for the meeting every week. I still have a lot of stuff in (including some trigger foods) and being MSE I can't just divest myself of them!

I do intend to use everything up by fitting it into the plan as much as possible, but I know my syn count will be astronomical for a while. I'll try to counter that by increasing the free and superfree (I'm getting some of the new terminology already!) foods gradually to fill me up and reduce the volume of syns.

I've always had a very odd relationship with food, so I'm not expecting miracles - I just want to go for a gradual and permanent change.

Annie02 you're an inspiration - I have more than that to lose but I'll be happy with a pound or two off every week as long as it's coming off and not going on!

Thanks again to everyone and sorry I can't respond to every post - I'm also a bit crap with the thanks button so please forgive me if I'm late with it or forget to use it!

I've wondered about those muffins being the dreaded 'tweak' but she's lost over 3 1/2 stone in 17 weeks eating them regularly! - I tried them but were stodgy in the middle even after extra time in the oven.. haven't bothered since but will have another go.. hers always look lush! ;)

Lucky you ginvzt.. have a lovely time in Athens x

Would anyone mind giving me an idea about the approx. syn value of a slow cooker meal I made today? It's gorgeous and I would like to include it when I'm on the plan...

    5 portions:

    850g pork mince (15% fat)
    2 onions
    4 small sweet potatoes, diced
    tin tomatoes
lazy garlic (4 teasp, the sort in a tube with oil - will substitute real garlic when I run out)
    green beans
red lentils (about half a cupful)
2 tablespoons of olive oil (didn't need this, the pork was quite fatty)
    veg stock cube

Thanks in advance for any help, and apologies if it's not ok to ask this kind of thing on the thread.
