Sorry about my depressive posts, I know there are people worse off than me (hugs to them) but I'm in my own little grief bubble and I feel like I'm drowning and alone :(.

Please don't feel you need to apologise. Sometimes it's easier to be honest about how you feel with people you don't have face to face contact with. When you're in that state of mind it doesn't make any difference that other people are worse off, your reason to be sad is just as valid as anyone else's.

Time is a great healer, but allow yourself as much as you need, there's no limit.

    Hugs to you too Beanie.

I can understand how you feel, I've finally given in to using a walking stick. I've been struggling with my knee for ages but refused to admit a stick would help, but it got worse when we got here because the site has gravel everywhere so it's uneven and hard on my knee. I hate to admit it, but the stick does help. :o

Yes, I resisted the stick for a long time.
Now I can hardly believe how much part of me they are.

Didn't get round to posting yesterday but was a rubbish day anyway - too many wine syns again!

    Having an EE day today:

B - bacon, egg & mushrooms - cooked for me by DH
L - toast & pate (bought back from France but only had 25g) HEB + 4
D - slow cooked beef, roast potatoes, green beans & cabbage; onion gravy (made using the onions from the bottom of the SC)

Will try not to have any more syns today to leave me a few for Mon - Wed.

Don't know whether this is a little victory or not:

Replaced the 'football' Crunchies today, probably enough to see us through to the end of the season unless we have a good cup run.:D Bars are now 20% lighter than the ones we're finishing off (32g instead of 40g). So We'll be saving about 2 syns a bar. In money terms I doubt we're saving anything, probably paying more!

Decided to give Aldi chipolatas a go. At 1.5syns each they're the same as Sainsbury's and CBA to look further afield so now I can make my pigs in blankets. Turkey bought and in DD1's freezer.

I decided on a DIY version of Eton Mess/pavlova for Tuesday's lunch visitors. I'm going to put out fruit/cream/meringues and we can serve ourselves. Will buy raspberries and maybe some strawberries tomorrow.
  • Hi all

Shala - sorry I have been crap at posting my weight loss/gains last few weeks. I was STS for wk 6 and +0.5lbs for last week wk 7. Deserved gain after a few xmas parties, and it's my only gain in 19wks so not too bad. I now I have 2.5lbs to lose for the xmas challenge, I'm trying to have as much superspeed and speed food as possible and lots of water to do it before xmas!

Oh and Shala, if you are in group the new magazine is out now! I didn't have money on me last WI so will get it this week.

  • Welcome aboard jpscloud. I think you know yourself when the time is right to join, with me something just clicked in my head and I thought 'right thats it - no more messing around'. There was a brand new class opening up (about 3 mins walk from where I live) and I joined on Easter Monday this year. Yes, with all that easter chocolate around the house. So far I have lost 5st 4lb which I am chuffed to bits with despite the fact I am probably only about half way there. Hope your first visit to the class goes well for you. Let us know how you get on.

You have done brilliantly Annie. I am thinking of having a couple of days off SW over the hols and then try and get straight back into it.

    Hugs TIE :grouphug:

The Iceland SW meals look promising mich. Might use as a standby in the freezer for emergencies - providing the price is right. ;)

Feeling quite carp today thanks to DH and DS sharing the lurgy with me. Had some hm broth for lunch but in all honesty I couldn't taste it. Don't know what to have for the rest of the day. Will be struggling to sit up to eat. Perhaps its time for a couple of paracetamols.

Catch up with you all later.
