  • STS for me this weekNot disappointed really as I have slipped up a bit with all the Christmassy bits that are around at work and the social gatherings etc.
We were told the same as the others re the new plan and that we too would get new books if we stay on New Year's Eve. It did seem to me that they were heading back towards a red day strategy.
    Menu today,
    B porridge with hea
    L butternut soup
D chicken casserole with carrots, mush and onions
Probably a few syns this evening.
Will not be going to group next week as we will be up in Scotland so I think this will be the end of my slinky challenge. I seem to have failed (yet again) to lose that elusive last 1/2 stone but if there is a new challenge in the new year then please count me in because I won't be giving in!

I never eat unlimited potatoes, pasta and rice! Well I did before and that was why I was the size I was.

I do reduce carbs, increasing them or having big amounts leads to a gain for me. They are comfort food for me and I tend to have no portion control with them so have to have restricted amounts.

I often wonder about the people in group that actually think that they can eat unlimited amounts of it and then wonder why they don't lose weight.

If this plan is what I think its going to be those following will all be at target in no time.

I need to give myself a big kick up the bum and get back to doing it properly - ( at the minute I am not restricting myself ) and heading for disaster

I just feel that I don't care anymore and its not a good way to be but yet I feel so bloated and fat I'm annoyed with myself

I suppose it doesn't help when I do well but I walk 7 miles a day getting to work.

Jeez you deserve to lose loads if you're doing that much walking!!!

I think by the sounds of things I will choose not to do it. I need my carbs and I don't eat huge amounts of veg but I do eat quite a lot of rice, pasta and potatoes. And as for synning bananas- er no. I also hope that if they're scrapping green that they have taken into account those of us who don't eat meat for whatever reason- I know Quorn is high in protein which hopefully will be included on the p list but I also eat a lot of things like beans and peas which is what I like about EE- I can follow it nicely and not have to eat meat and still enjoy the things I like. I hope they aren't going to start synning beans like on Red-I live on beans but I think OH might be relieved :rotfl: Eggs seem to be favourable as is fish so I won't starve but I hope that there's still plenty of choice there.

Mrs Ryan - If you can eat bananas and get away with it I say eat them!

I can't sadly! I think that's the thing with us all though you've just got to find how it works for you and alter it to suit you.

If there's no Green I'll keep doing it anyway ;) I'm veggie and don't see how a more atkins type diet would work for me.

I do portion control rice and pasta because I agree that if you eat a ton of it you aren't going to lose!

By the sounds of it we'll have these books at our group after Christmas so I guess I'll see then how much of it makes sense for me.
