Morning
I bet SW think changing things will keep us on our toes and stop us getting into bad habits. As someone said we can do what we're doing now regardless, as long as it works.
Going back to my previous post about macaroni cheese being free on green, I remembered after I'd posted it that the reason they gave for synning it was people were 'abusing' it. Apparently people were liquidising it and using it as cheese sauce in dishes like lasagne and then wondering why they weren't losing weight!
Have a good day.

Glad you had a lovely day durham & got lovely compliments
Sounds like a great time was had by all. You might get some bargains after Christmas in evening dresses mim but I 'd be careful about buying anything too soon if you don't need it until April. I remember MrsR buying a beautiful dress last year and then worrying as it was getting too big.:eek:blue_eyed_girl wrote: »I'm so happy :j:dance::j:dance::j:dance:
4lb loss this week Shala please
I didn't really find anything more about the changes - poster didn't give too much away other than existing members will get new packs between Boxing Day and 17th Jan (?) for free - whoopeeedooo.

:TThat's an amazing loss again b.e.g. and well done for losing your holiday gain ginvzt. Will you be able to control food in Greece?jockosjungle wrote: »I assume they'll keep superfree foods but call them something else.
I guessed it was only a change of wording rather than abandoning the healthiest part of the plan. After all, I understand that syn values can change when recipes change on processed foods but that's hardly the same as vegetables!
17th January is a much more realistic date for new books. I thought they were cynically going to do it between Christmas and New Year when everyone was at their heaviest. I'm sure we'll find a way to make it work for us just like we do now!
I'm hoping to fit in a WI once before Christmas, probably at a different group.
Good to see you back denise. We noticed prices have risen a lot in France too as it's about 2 years since I was there last. We mainly went for champagne (enjoy the experience of going to the champagne house) and tins of duck confit which is even dearer over here. Meals were reasonably OK in price but we didn't do Cordon Bleu just French equivalent of pub grub.
Funeral went OK yesterday. I was very good at the gathering afterwards. Wine syns were on offer but I refused and stuck to tea although I wasn't driving. I had two bits of tuna wrap and a chicken wing to eat passing up loads of goodies (pizza, bhajis, samosas etc etc). Football in the evening so I had the mandatory half Crunchie. It could have been far worse.;)
Completely on plan today.
EE menu:
B: NAS Ribena, HEB toast, baked beans, HEA milk
L: ham and LO veg friedSW chilli (inc.SF), rice, peas
Syns: scrape of spread0 -
Well the whole thing is open to abuse, just look at some of the recipes. I know for a fact if I followed the diet as it was supposedly intended then I'd gain weight.
I suppose we need to give the new diet the benefit of the doubt until we've seen it, our consultant thought the new diet was better and than when changes have been made to SW it was usually for the better.
All I do know is that with the current EE plan and with me approaching my target weight, that I could stick to it long term with a few treats thrown in. But will have to see about this new one.0 -
WOW blue eyed girl, that is sensational . How do you do that, let me into your secret. Well done indeed x. :T :T :j :j0

Well, that will be difficult (to control the food). I will be in a hotel, so breakfast will be buffet most likely, maybe I can control myself! Lunch most likely sandwiches or canteen at the client's site and dinner will be restaurants. But I am hoping for some lovely fish and seafood....
Still trying to finalise the flights and hotel. My companion seems very set on Hilton, but not sure if client will aprove (it is cheaper that suggested hotel, but the fee is non-refundable). Well, at elast there should be a gym and I will do my best to visit it!Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0 -
wow b.e.g and ginvzt, brilliant losses.
I have been swimming this morning, trying hard to stick to plan but a few christmassy goodies have just made their way into my mouth this week. W.I. tomorrow, I hope I have at least lost a little bit
I bought kiwis at M & S today. I must admit they were expensive but the best kiwis I have ever tasted, soft but not overripe, and sweet. I have eaten 3 already today. I hate it when you buy supermarket fruit and it tastes of nothing or stays hard or goes rotten.
Going to pop into Lidl, see if I can find those little chocolates Lantanna was speaking about and need a few other bits and pieces.0 -
durham_mim wrote: »Lovely girlie day out today. Started with coffee and half a scone (4 of us so worked out well). Then it was dress shopping, or rather trying on. It was great fun. Tried two evening dresses on, got stuck in the first (mistook the size), and had to be helped out :rotfl: second was ok, but I don't want ok I want WOW. Don't need one until April so will keep looking. It was the first time I'd tried evening dresses so gave a good idea of what will suit or not. Afterwards we went for lunch but it wasn't too bad. We all had fishcakes (one kedgeree, one salmon & one cod), with a side salad. I did have two skinny latte's as a treat. Complements from my new friends re my figure have really given me a confidence boost and urged me to continue with the Callanetics.
Sounds like you had a lovely time well done on sticking out for the WOW dress it willo be worth the wait.Slimming World at target0
