  • Can I join in please?!

I joined SW on Saturday, although I was a member of a different branch about 2 years ago. I lost 2 and a half stone before but have since put it all back on! DH and I are trying for another baby at the moment, but it's taking a while so I figured getting on top of my weight might help. I've pretty much been overweight since I was 14 with short periods where I would lose a few stone and then gain it again plus a bit more!

    Today looked like this:
Brunch - Turkey sausage, bacon, beans, scrambled egg, toast (HEB)
Snack - Mince pie and glass of rose on the santa train! Clementine
Dinner - Asian pork, veg stir fry, rice
    Pudding - Greek muller light

Went a little over syns today but was under yesterday. Was thinking about spreading my 105 syns across the week as needed rather than trying to balance it on each individual day. Does anybody else do this?

    Welcome retiredlady and musogirl :)

Thank you for the chart Shala - looks like we've managed to shift nearly 12 stone between us :T Very well done to those who have hit their target.

Some of you have very exciting lives lately, mine has just been about Christmas things for the children and visits to Santa! I have however gone prepared and not eaten out off plan.

Then we go to my mum's for lunch. She knows I'm on SW, she's done it in the past, and she cooked up a high in syns kiev :( I've offered to take food over there for cooking but keep being told they haven't got space in their freezer (it's a double height thing so goodness only knows what they have filled it with!). For quite a few weeks was just having sausages with my veg and potatoes which was working well.

Which leads me to answering musogirl - some people on here do use the syns bank and just count down the max for the week. I'm doing it myself this week as an experiment but may not now be able to catch up :rotfl:

I am just delurking for a minute to say how much I agree with you re fats. I'm not talking vegetable fats like margarine or cooking oils as I think they are not good for you. I follow the red plan but I don't count healthy fats either! I eat Advocado, butter, coconut oil and olive oil. I'm not saying I eat loads of it but when I use it I don't count it! I also eat very little fruit except for berries. I've been doing SW for almost 10 years. Up till last Christmas I had lost 5 stone. Since then I started adding more fat, reduced the fruit and cut out the starchy vegs, I've lost 5 1/2 stone this year. That makes a total of 10 1/2 stone. The sad thing is I still have another 7 stone to lose.

My favorite veg is caulifloer, brocolli, spinach, green beans etc. basically the SS ones!
    Can I join in please?!

Welcome retiredlady and musogirl!!!! Fantastic loss, retiredlady, just look at how well you have done so far, the other 7 stones will go too!

Shala, thanks for the table! I am backtracking... It looks like it might be impossible for me to hit the target this time, but I will do my best to get as close to it as possible. My last weight in is next week, as we are going away that weekend, but might do a second one the day we go and see what happens.

I made a cake last night again - brioche/panettone cross from the 'Artisan bread in 5 min', and it is really nice this time!!! It is 9 syns a small slice though, so will last a long time, although I am sure my kids and OH will speed up the consumption process!

My daughter is ill at the moment, and the nights are hard, as she will only sleep with mummy, in mummy's bed. Managed to persuade her to sleep on our spare mattress on the floor, and we slept there tonight, but she was having coughing attacks, and threw up in the evening too, and also this morning after I left for work... I asked OH to take her to doctor, as this cough is lasting way too long and no syrups seem to be making it better. Hope she gets better soon as it is hard to see her like this!

    Menu:
B - boiled egg, coffee with milk, a slice of brioche (9 syns!)
L - salad, with a bit of cheese (HeA), raisins, cranberries (HeB?), egg, apple
D - quark bake (made last night), it is about 2 syns for a portion covered with yogurt
    Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb
