Was brown rice ever a HEb on a red day?
If so, what was the portion?

I'm going to use the HEb pasta & potato portion sizes so I can control portion sizes on carbs.
    It's 200/230g for potatoes & 110g of dried pasta.

Ah! The proverbial blue bottomed fly season. School Fairs, Plays, bag packing, choir-tree-lighting-big-switch-on chaos.

Same here except I'm the one doing most of it. Did dress rehearsal for reception yesterday, cocked the music up :o put first song on without any children on the stage :rotfl:. Then I had vampire fingers and the iPod wouldn't respond . Other than that it went ok. Stress City for me though. Why am I always asked to do the techy bit :(. Be so glad when the performance is done.
Also got the dreaded lurgy that everyone else has had. Also now have to support 2 Sen children, 1 with behaviour issues in morning other is autistic but no behaviour issues in afternoon. Don't know if I'm coming or going most days :o. Only 2 weeks to go :T.
Have a couple of bad days emotional wise coming up this week so will be lucky to get through in one piece.
Well done to all losers and big hugs to those in need.
    STS please Shala
Big thank you for the chart especially at this manic time of year :A
Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

  • Sorry I wont be able to help Crabapple - my first wi of 2015 will be on Monday 5th. My countdown will be ending the week after this so I wonder if they will have any special offers on to encourage people who are thinking of joining in the New Year.

Well done to all of today's losers. :T

I dont think I could only pour 25mls of Baileys meg so I think I had better stand back and leave it alone. :o

DH made the Carrot and Beetroot Soup for lunch. Second time we have made it and it was much tastier this time as we used different beetroot. First time we used the cooked vacuum packed stuff and today we used fresh beetroot and it had much more flavour. Admittedly some of the extra flavour may have come from the burnt stuff on the bottom of the pan but it was very tasty. :rotfl::rotfl:

Hm, I wonder what the changes be....

Went for a run this morning and then there was a band playing nearby, so we went for a walk with kids to listen, it did not last long, and we decided to continue with the walk - walked to Aldi, got some fresh pretzels, met a lovely dof on the way home and kids had fun stroking her, and the owner was lovely and chatted with us (in german of course, so we had our free practice today), then we stopped at the butchers and got some sausages for kids lunch. I was a good girl and avoided the pretzel and sausages...

    So menu today:
B - quark, yogurt, blueberries and raspberries, banana, Finn Crisp slices (3, half of HeB), coffee
L - miso soup with mushroom, spring onion and wakame, 2.5 smoked sprats (left overs)
D - either a trip to the Christmas market or sausages (will be a few syns for those...) and veg

Snacks - filled heart lebkuchen (2) and gingerbread(?) cake, total of 9 syns
    Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb

My WI is Thursday but I doubt if they'll announce things over the holiday period. I think it's more likely when all the new members join as part of New Year's Resolutions when term starts.

I could live with the Med diet if it includes cod in batter from the chippy!!:rotfl:I think it's a big mistake if they do away with Green plan as it's so good for veggies. I suppose if extra HEXs are introduced to all plans it wouldn't matter if you just skip meat. Maybe we'll all get new books if the changes are significant.

I can't see any rice as a HEX kim.

Not very organised today. I'm feeling a bit fragile after far too many wine syns last night. So far I've had kippers for breakfast, and just snacked on beetroot at lunchtime. I've done my meal plan now need to venture out to do some shopping.

On the subject of the potential changes to plan - who has the earliest WI in the New Year so they can fill us all in?! Guessing there'll not be groups running on the 1st so who weighs Friday?

    Mine's not until the 7th...

I weigh on a Friday so will be weighing on 2nd January so I'll let you know :)

I suppose you could do these with the Heck chicken sausages from Tesco, they're only 1/2 syn each, so if you cut them up small, you can have quite a few. Might do them for nibbling on

I think it would be nice with the Heck sausages, might try it over christmas

Note to self - do not let hubby cook unsupervised.

He made a gorgeous tasting casserole. So I questioned him on the contents. All was well until the TWO cartons of white wine (yes, cartons, but in my defence we only ever buy it for cooking!).

So there's 18 syns in something I thought was free :( Admittedly it's only about 3 a portion but I'm still catching up from that ruddy croissant :rotfl:
