    Hmmm.
Just been to the doctors and she's referring me to the gym.
She weighed me on (she commented on this) her brand new so newly calibrated scales and I was 14 8 and that was wearing heavy joggers. That's more or less in line with what I should have been according to my home scales. I'm quite unhappy now as I don't feel 14 9.5 is my true weight. I know my consultant says never weigh yourself at home as your scales 'will always be wrong compared to group as they haven't been calibrated' but my doctors scales had actually and show a considerable difference. Should I text her and tell her I'm unhappy and don't accept the weight the group scales show or just keep my mouth shut? Thanks all xx

Don't think there's much point in texting your consultant Mrs R - SW go by what their scales say not your Dr's, even though they are also calibrated! No harm in mentioning it to her next time you're at group but don't think it will make any difference because as far as she (and SW) are concerned you weigh what their scales show.

  • Thanks for all your kind words re my latest shiney and for all your support in keeping me focused and on track. I would like a couple more 1lbs off before Santa pays us a visit to allow me to indulge in a few naughties and manage to maintain my 5st loss (hope that gobbledygook makes sense). We were given a sheet at class last night of a blank meal planner for all of Dec - I think the idea of it is that we can fill in 'off plan' meals eg Christmas Day, Boxing Day, nights out etc - I think there was 90 meals so we could have say the holidays off plan but it still left plenty of meals where we could stay within plan without writing off the whole week/month because we have had a few meals that maybe aren't very SW friendly.

Mrs R - hope GP visit goes well for you.

meg - hope your mouth is feeling better today.

durham - wow - I can only guess how you must be feeling in that size 12 dress - amazing.

Dh has just made some leek, potato and bacon soup - nom nom ;)

Thanks Denise- I thought not. I'm really feeling like I don't want to weigh at group now because I have no faith in knowing that what their scales say isn't right. If it was just a half pound or something I wouldn't be bothered but taking into account my heavy joggers there's about 2lb difference. I will be particularly annoyed if the scales show I'm over target and they tell me I have to pay when I know I'm actually not (although i have said I will stop going if I have to pay) feeling particularly peeved now

Was just wondering what time of day you weigh in at group as you weighed at Doctors this morning and I do find theres often a couple of pounds difference between morning and later in evening.

Try not to be too down about it, I know it's easy to say but difficult to do. As you're in target can you not just go to get weighed every 2-3 weeks and stick to plan in between? Although I go most weeks I don't always weigh - I just go to meet up with friends I've made at group.
