Morning all
After a very wet day yesterday, the sun has come out today so we'll be going out later to get some freash air (we never left the caravan/awning yesterday!).
Decided to make today a green day as our main meal will be jacket potato with beans and cheese (HEA), not sure what the 2 HEBs will be at the moment, had fruit and yogurt for breakfast so have both to play with for lunch.
On Wednesday we're going out for Christmas lunch - bit early I know, but it'll be our only traditional one. I'll just have fruit for breakfast and probably won't need anything in the evening, and I'll have the works, roasties cooked in goose fat included! Then it'll be back to normal on Thursday and hope not to have gained on Friday when I weigh myself.
Maman - love your comment about losing a pound a week, I know I always feel cheated if I only lose a pound, but it's the end result that counts and 4 stone in a year is a huge amount.
Welcome back ginzvt - your holiday eating sounds delicious. You can't go to France and not enjoy their famous quisine.
Well done losers, onwards and downwards!

Hiya everyone,:j Good news 2lb off this week and done nothing different to the other weeks. Anyhow, as long as it doesn't go back on next week I am going down again to my 10 stone. I hope everyone else has been as lucky as me an if not maybe next week.
SO SHALA can't change to red ,it won't work but I have shouted so you'll hear me. Yippee!!!!:T :T
That's brilliant wiz!! So pleased for you and I've made it red and bold so nobody misses it.
Good to have you back ginvzt and a small gain for all those goodies is well worth it. I'm sure it'll come off quickly once you get back to things. I'm off to France tomorrow so will be off plan for a bit. I tend to be reasonably OK with breakfasts and can easily avoid the pain au chocolat. It's the cheeses that get to me and the vin chaud at this time of the year.
I'd definitely let the toddler eat the chocolate crabapple, just space it out like you said. I've got some crisps hidden away for Christmas but we'll have a bag tomorrow as a treat with packed lunch. I've resisted them since Friday!;) Easier to take a packed lunch on the tunnel as otherwise it's a mad dash to find somewhere to eat on the other side.
Enjoy your Christmas meal when it comes LL. What will you and DH do at Christmas if that's going to be your only festive meal? (excuse nosiness:o)
Today's EE menu:
B: NAS Ribena, baked beans, HEB toast, HEA milk
L: probably JP and cottage cheese with pickled onionssausages, onions, mash, cauli, broccoli, carrots
Syns: scrape of spread, gravy, 2 syns for sausages0 -
Morning campers,
No weigh in for me this week so I'll declare a STS please Shala.
Don't think I was too bad over the weekend no takeaways or anything but a little chocolate & crisp feast on Saturday night. My syns are definitely gone!
Trying to be good now until getting weighed on Thursday.0 -
Hi everyone, back from a very synful weekend!!! No idea how many syns but would just say it was 2 flexidays but I just didn't count!
Back on plan today with a Green day:
B - bacon (4) & mushroom sandwich (HEB1)
L - LO mediterrean pork stew (but no pork left in it, LOL!) so just veggies served with LO mash
D - cauliflower cheese (HEA1/HEB2 for cheese sauce)
HEA2 - milk in tea throughout the day.
Syns - 2 lean rashers of bacon (4); Mikado (0.5); not sure if I'll have anything else but maybe a lolly this evening after dinner.
Maman - enjoy France - we're off there for a long weekend Thursday evening until Monday; really looking forward to it but will be generally off plan.

We come back on Thursday evening! I'll wave as we pass each other. I'll recognise you as the slinky lady in the campervan.:D
I never understand how people can count syns off plan. It's easy if you know it's a packet of crisps but when you're eating out I just give up. Off plan is off plan IMO.
I've probably asked this before but would you explain how you make your cheese sauce and how you use HEA/B for it? I adore cauliflower cheese but I banned it when I was getting to target (website says it's 9 for 100 ml:() and banned it again since I've been hovering too close to top end of range. It's something I really miss. TIA.0 -

I find it easy enough as long as I don't have too many wine syns :rotfl:

I just make a normal cheese sauce using 2 x HEA milk and 2 x HEB cheese; but as I only have about 1/3 of the cauli cheese it's actually just under one of each. Forgot to syn the cornflour - I use 1 Tbs so syn 1 tsp (1/3 of cauli cheese) so 1 syn (thanks for asking the question it reminded me to add the syn for cornflour!).
I only ever have cauli cheese on a green day but could also have on a Red day using HEA/HEB; although as you know I don't do Red days usually as too expensive and not MSE!
HTH.

Thanks for that. It'd have to be a Green day I think to use cheese as a HEB?
It's a great way to use the HEXs creatively and then the syns are no worse than making gravy.
Just remembered a tip that someone might find useful. I had (raw) baby spinach leaves with my lunch (JP & cottage cheese). I find them a useful way of having green leaves but more versatile than salad leaves. I bought the bag to use in the curry and I can always stir them into a casserole if I've no other use for them. Otherwise I tend to waste lettuce etc.0
