After gaining 1lb SHALAthis week I'm afraid the chocolate monster got me today. So frustrated that its gone back on again. Back on it tomorrow in an attempt to lose again next week. Got a dinner dance next Saturday and I want to look good in my dress. Extremely tired today so that hasn't helped. :(

That's good news lauri, all in the right direction. And you too bunty.:T

Wow! MrsR £153 is an awful lot for a week's shopping for two people. Hopefully you've been stocking up as it's the first of the month and the remaining weeks will be much lighter. I find it easy to feed us SW friendly food for a third of that (not including meals out or wine syns. That's entertainment.:D) but I suppose the fact you can't cook from scratch is part of the problem.

We had the Schwartz slow cooker curry tonight. It was tasty enough but I'm not sure why they thought adding potatoes was a good idea. Next time I'll up the peppers/mushrooms/onions and maybe dice a sweet potato as that would keep it's shape better and be a better texture.

    Today's EE menu:
B: NAS Ribena, kippers, HEB bread, HEA milk
L: mushroom/spring onion omelette with pickled cabbage
D: SC chicken curry with pilau rice and SW chips
Syns: spread, 2tsps mango chutney, maybe 1-2 for pilau, wine syns.

frogga if you are not that bothered about what happens with your dad I would just out and out tell her. You will be amazed at how great you will feel afterwards. I have a difficult relationship with my mam and following some counselling I had when my dad died I told her what I really thought and felt. In my case it made things slightly better however if it had meant we never spoke again I would have been fine with it.

I think sometimes we all need to realise we do not have to put up with family (be it blood or by marriage) make us feel bad. Good luck whatever you chose to do.

    good morning.

Very tired today. Spent yesterday painting and moving furniture around. Better lose an extra lb or two, it was hard work, lol

Amazingly, I stuck to plan, usually these kind of busy days end up in a take away with unhealthy choices and a chocolate binge after but I cooked something simple (Tesco's pulled pork and vegetables) and had a mullerlight with chopped banana and kiwi. I had my HEb crackers with cottage cheese and ham and beetroot for snacks later on.:A

I quite like doing a red/original day here and there, I love having the 2 HEbs. Anyone else here mix and match the plans up?

Got another busy day ahead.... wish me luck

    Morning all

Blimey, Sunday again, where does the time go? And the last day of November too, we'll be into 2015 in no time, and the millennium seems like just a few years ago!

New year is usually the time I start trying to lose weight (my NY resolution is the same every year) but this year I decided to get ahead of the game and start before Christmas, that way I'll hopefully make better choices at Christmas and won't have a big festive gain to tackle as well.

Mumoftwo - this is my 4th week of SW and I've only had one day that wasn't EE. When I did SW before there was only red and green plans and I often used at least one HEB to add potatoes to a red meal, or meat/fish to a green meal, so I really don't miss the extra one.

maman - I haven't seen these slow cooker sauce mixes, but I do wonder why Schwartz felt the need to create a new range specially for the slow cooker. I use packet mixes in the slow cooker all the time! I also often wonder how different the mixes are - what's in sausage casserole but not beef casserole for example? :rotfl:

The craving for bacon overcame me yesterday, but I didn't go out and buy bacon, we went out to a cafe that does all day breakfasts and did pick & mix - 3 rashers of bacon, 2 eggs, 1 sausage, tomato and beans. Probably not as SW friendly as it should be, but still very enjoyable! We didn't have toast, hash brown or black pudding so felt quite angelic. :D

Back on plan today and definitely no flexible syns in sight - fruit and yogurt breakfast already consumed, a salad wrap for lunch (HEB & HEA) and roast lamb, actifry roast potatoes and vegetables for dinner with some gravy (2 syns). The remaining syns will be used on red wine. :)

Enjoy the rest of the weekend.
