Well done, tweets and erin.
Out of the mouths of babes, Mildredd. Kids are great for lifting your spirits. I miss being in school at Christmas time.
meg, I think that’s a good plan – just pretend you’re in a time warp and this week doesn’t exist.
Stuck pretty much to plan today. Had planned 0.5 syns. Add to that 4.5 syns for paprika pork – and a scone (10.5) and butter (3) , makes 18.5 altogether.
No idea how tomorrow will go. I am taking my turn in the frozen wasteland of my son’s house, supervising workmen (no heating, hot water, cooking facilities). Gas fitters should finish in the morning – famous last words. Loft insulation going in sometime in the afternoon – I can’t help feeling it will be late in the afternoon.
Breakfast: hexb porridge made with water, splash hexa milk, banana
Lunch: whatever I can find (or maybe DH will bring me something when he finishes his bowling), because I don’t have anything here that doesn’t require cooking!!!!! End of month resolution not to buy anything this week is coming back to bite me, lol.
Dinner: turkey rashers, fried egg, tomatoes, beans, fried tinned potatoes (has to be something quick in case I’m late home)
Snacks: hexa something/something from my usual selection

Have you regained a lot of it?
all of it, sadly.
It is so so hard at times! I would love to be able to eat without having to think about it and planning what I can and can't have. It consumes so much time!
I maintained without going to group for about 2 years until a family crisis sent me reeling and I gained 3 stone. Then I stayed roughly halfway for ages, doing a stint of WW for a while and getting plenty of exercise. I wasn't unhappy with that, but 2 years ago I started having problems with my knee which make exercise difficult and the weight has crept back up to where I started.
You will be able to relax and spend less time thinking about food, the trick is to keep an eye on the scales and if you start gaining, go back to following the plan to the letter for a few days until you're back to target weight again.
You'll obviously have to give yourself time off when you decide to start a family, and afterwards - but having done it once you know you can do it again.

Morning all
Checking in with the results of my weigh-in this morning - 2lbs off!
I'm pleased with that result, but even more pleased to have overtaken DH - he only lost 1lb, so I've taken the lead by half a pound!
We're going to a Christmas themed race night tonight where there will be mulled wine and mince pies, so I'm going to reward myself with one mince pie - it will probably be the only one I have this Christmas so I'll enjoy those 13.5 syns immensely!
Well done to all the losers and commiserations to anyone struggling.
Have a good day. :A

Thanks Lois, well done on your loss.
This is the problem life inevitably gets in the way doesn't it! No sign of any family being started any time soon being single! lol I can definitely not go back - I'd never hear the end of it for a start. Your back and your trying and losing and also know that you can do it!
I'm for weigh in in the morning - hopefully only a small gain!
Busy day today but hopefully the day will fly in - home and an early night I think.
I started a new novel last night Fat Chance by Nick Spalding. Very very funny its about an overweight couple who have entered a weightloss competition. I was actually laughing out loud several times. Might be worth a look for anybody that likes to read.0 -
Well done to tweets, erin and lois on your lovely losses :T
I really wouldn't worry about tummies if you haven't had children, they only get worse afterwards! I got pregnant with my eldest in March 2011 and although I've lost over 4 stone since then I still look pregnant now - all the core muscles are shot to pieces :rotfl:
That said, I was looking in the mirror this morning (very brave of me) and the saggy bits don't seem as bad. That or I'm just used to them now! I do like that when I turn sideways there is nowhere near as much of me
Feeling sorry for myself and a bit of an idiot. I broke my little toe early in September. It's all healed up nicely and I've got no issues with it really beyond an occasional twinge if I put my heels on. So yesterday I managed to break the other one
Spent lunchtime in A&E because unlike last time the toe seemed to be off at a bit of a wonk, which they agreed with and did x-ray but apparently there's nothing out of place, just have confirmation that it's broken (I told them that when I went in - knew straight away what I'd done!). I didn't even get it taped up, they just told me to do it at home.
Got home (only spent about 2.5 hours there) and hadn't eaten so made myself a sandwich even though I'd already had my HEBs for breakfastAnd I couldn't cook as planned cos there was no time so we had SW chips and quorn chicken dippers for tea not the healthy veg meal I had planned.
So now I'm limping badly again, it's sore and I'm feeling sorry for myself. Plus I arranged to go out today with my parents, and won't be able to do the walk around so they are going to take my daughter (and possibly the boy in his buggy) while I have to sit in the cafe...

Good morning all,
Today's plan:
Breakfast: HEB shreddies plus milk (from HeA) and a cup of tea (milk from HeA)
Lunch: free mugshot, apple, banana
tea: not sure yet. Forgot to get bf to pick something though I need to go to a couple of shops on my dinner anyway so I may pick something up. Will make it as low syn/free as possible as I had a hiccup last night and had some chocolate, a packet of crisps, a can of mango rubicon and a hot chocolate!************************************

Sorry to hear about your toe Crabapple:eek: must have knocked you a bit sick when you did it!! Hope it feels a bit better soon x
Lois - 13.5 syns on a mince pie:eek: imagine how many people eat over the Christmas period!! Luckily I think they're the food of the devil :rotfl:
Meg - enjoy your weekend :T
Well my allergy is still playing up, yesterday it started about 11 at work so I had 4 anti-histamines over the course of the day but they barely made a differenceI've bought some new washing liquid (baby non-bio) so I'll wash everything I own and see if thats it!
I do think it's a viral type thing though as I feel like I have a bit of a head cold.. You know the general foggyness you get and sore throat, blocked nose.. So I'm hoping its that and it will pass in a few daysif not its off to the doctors I go!
Did pop to class last night, lost 1lb so it's starting to move down again, although for the amount of effort I'm putting in I'm disappointed!!
Off to take some pills then actually get up (still in pj's) :rotfl:Mortgage amount at 31/12/2011 £166,050 now £0 as at Sept 21 - 15yrs 4 months early.0
