Mich_city, how do you get food photos from your phone on here? I know how when I took pics with digital camera but stumped with my iPhone. Do you still need photo bucket or tiny pic?

Well my xmas shopping didn't quite go to plan.. instead of getting xmas presents I ended up getting loads of stuff for myself :o

I find that too but hope you got some really nice things. I remember going Christmas shopping with DGD1 last year and getting myself a fab scarf in John Lewis I've worn it loads and loads. And another time I took DD2 shopping for her birthday present and ended up with 3:eek: pairs of boots for me. I think it's always the way that if you're not looking specifically you find things you like but when you have to buy something for an occasion you never see anything.

Thanks for sharing the photo meg. You certainly look slim, glamorous and happy!!!

Just finished my dinner and I feel stuffed!! But definitely had my fair share of SFs.:)

Envy you in your summer clothes in Spain lois. Today it's been bright here (apparently!!) on the west side of the country but here in the south east it's rained and rained. Rain has now all but stopped but frost is forecast overnight.:(

I need to think through this week. I really should go to a WI but am busy on days when my consultant does classes. I can Google another as I live in big city with heaps of classes. The trouble is that if I'm over target I can't WI next week as I'm away so could get expensive. What a dilemma!:rotfl:

ended up at a chinese buffet today for lunch. So will be over my syns, had been under a couple of days this week so hopefully it balances out.

Still full now so think I will just have some fruit later on.

Hubby has abandoned SW now. Just eating what he wants when he wants saying he cannot face any more SW meals. I never asked him to do it with me anyway, although he did and still does need to lose weight but he is making me feel like I forced him to do it. Grrr men!
  • evening all,

sorry I've been MIA for a few days; work has been getting in the way in the day times and in the evening I've been shattered and just enjoying some family time and snuggles with wonder bairn and bf

Have spent the weekend feeling a bit sorry for myself as last Sunday I tweaked my neck (you know when you turn your head and your neck cracks and you get that pain up the back of your head? well I did that but the pain went up my face and down my should) and the pain has been around ever since in varying degrees even making driving hard :/

But anyway after a weekend of poor choices I am ready and raring for a good week. With payday on Tuesday I am considering banning all take aways in December and stuffing us with super healthy filling grub :)

Lovely to see a pic of you and you look very happy to have reached target - always like to put a name to a face! :j:j

    Agree! :)

Re the pork scratchings - in M&S this afternoon with DS and he spotted boxes of long thin strips pork crackling amongst the party food  I have told him to wait until near Christmas in the hope that he might forget all about them ;)

Oohhh i'd better keep out of that section then! :rotfl:

LL yep i enjoyed it, thanks for asking :)

Shala thanks for the chart. Will give you my result for the past week once I find some scales that work tomorrow!

    Don't say I didn't warn you :naughty::D

DH has just made me a slice of cheese on toast with sundried toms and then I am going to have Hot Choccie made with milk to use up some hexa

Found some hm chocolate truffles on SW website tonight (actually made with real half fat cream, real chocolate and real cocoa - not a bit of low fat yoghurt, quark etc in sight. They did work out at 3.5 syns each - for that I think I would just as well stick with the Lindt big red balls for about 4/4.5 syns each and a lot less faff and wont be tempted to lick the bowl :p

mich, you’re my twin! I was a 22 at biggest and started SW at size 20! Spooky! Now I’m an 18 (I can get into some 16/18 things), so a bit to go.
There are a couple of things that I find scary and I keep reminding myself of them.
    1. At my worst I was more than 5 st heavier than when I was full term pregnant with each of my kids!
    2. When I got married, a size 10 was too big for me – I have no recollection of anything smaller than that in the shops and I often wore children’s clothes (or made my own). I still have my wedding dress and I don’t think it would fit on one leg never mind on me!
Now I know that I will never be a wee 10 again, but, like you, I think a 12/14 would be good. It’s taken 2½ years to lose 3 stones, so not taking any short cuts on my journey. However, I find my SW approach (don’t think it’d be welcome at a group) is sustainable for me. Yes, I have bad times, but in all that time I have never deserted the philosophy completely. And I don’t get guilty when I overindulge, I can enjoy my food. Finding this forum was a big bonus; it keeps me focused – I suppose it’s my equivalent of going to group. And the best bit about that is that there’s always someone to give a friendly reminder to get back on track, or to share a road map when I get lost. Thanks everyone.
