    Afternoon

I checked in this morning and caught up on messages but didn't have time to write anything. Beeakfast was fruit and yogurt which I didn't realise had cereal added so it wasn't free but no idea how many syns so I will count 2 for it. Had a lovely salad wrap for lunch, all free, 1 HEB for the wrap and 1 HEA for some grated cheese - yummy. Dinner tonight will be salmon, new potatoes and sf vegetables.

DH is going to play golf again on Wednesday so tomorrow I'm going to try out that breakfast casserole so he has something to take with him other than cheese sandwiches, because 2 small slices of bread and a tiny piece of cheese doesn't cut it where he's concerned!

To the person who said their DH didn't want to follow SW anymore, (sorry forgotten who it was, I really must make notes as I'm reading!) what does he feel he's missing out on? Maybe you could compromise by cooking something different for him a couple of times a week and stick to SW the rest of the time.

When DH and I did SW before he stuck to it at home but found it difficult during the day at work so he'd try to eat healthily but not necessarily to plan. He still lost weight.

I think it was Mildred that mentioned having taken a long time to get as far as she has but still focused and staying on plan. I really need to adopt that mentality too, because so often in the past I've been highly motivated while losing regularly but as soon as the weight loss starts to level off I lose focus. Weight loss gets harder as you get older and being over 50 and not very mobile, I need to accept that it's going to be a slow process.

I think I've nattered on for long enough, so catch you all later - onwards and downwards!

    Hiya, me again.

Just went to the SW website to find that recipe and discovered I can't log in anymore as I don't go to a group. Could someone who can use the website log in and copy the recipe for me please? Might be best to pm me it in case SW don't like it.:o

Beanie - the important thing is you're still here. Keep plodding, you'll get there eventually and you'll be doing yourself lots of good by eating healthily (most of the time!). :)

Happy to oblige lois. That's the main reason I keep going to group every few weeks. It maintains my website access. Not sure if you have to cook it overnight (recipe says 10 - 12 hours)though. It's not that different to a frittata/Spanish omelette which I do on the hob then under the grill.

Wake up to this delicious overnight hearty breakfast casserole - tuck in...
    ingredients

    • 300g tomatoes, chopped
    • 4 medium sized potatoes, peeled and diced
    • 1 medium onion, chopped
    • 6 rashers lean bacon, cooked and chopped
    • Salt and freshly ground black pepper
    • 200g quark
    • 6 medium eggs
    • 200g mushrooms
    • Herbs
    method

    1. Beat the eggs, Quark, salt and pepper together. Spray inside of slow-cooker with low calorie cooking spray.
    2. Layer potatoes, bacon, tomatoes, mushrooms and onions in the slow-cooker in two or three layers.
    3. Pour over the egg mixture and sprinkle with herbs.
    4. Cook on 'low' for ten to twelve hours or until eggs are set and thoroughly cooked.
Tip: Chef's tip: Add a packet of your favourite cooked Quorn or low-Syn sausages for a banger-extravaganza.

    Hi all

I'm a serial SW member and a stalker here. I have a question:

Is it possible to eat too much fruit on the extra easy plan? So far today I have had quarter of melon and a sharon fruit and 2 clementines. I also had a large salmon fillet, rocket, cucumber and 4 small sweet peppers.

For breakfast I had magic pancakes.

My mouth seems to be moving all the time today lol :rotfl:
  • I'm still poorly :( I haven't eaten more than dry toast, handful of oven chips and couple of apples since Friday. SOrry have nothing more to add, just needed to moan! x

Oh how frustrating wiz. Every Monday I really hope you're going to get good news. The health benefits are great but I'm perplexed why you don't lose. Have you asked GP about it? Keep Plodding (said in same tone as Keep Dancing;)).

I've not had smilies working properly since we went on to Windows 8 denise. I can only get them by copy/paste. Maybe someone more technically savvy can advise.

I think we're likely to have a lot of off plan things in the coming month or so. By 'we' I mean all of us on here. I'm on plan today and tomorrow then out for lunch two days running. All we can do is do our best. Chin up ladies!!

    EE plan for today:
B: NAS Ribena, HEB porage, HEA milk
L: not sure (feel full from breakfast) but probably JP
D: Szechuan beef (inc mushrooms, peppers, beansprouts) with noodles
Syns: squirt of syrup, some in noodles (Aldi straight to wok) and tsp of cornflour (shared) in sauce

    hello

I think tweets has posted a couple of times about to fix smilies.. I can't find the posts but i'm sure she'll be a long soon and may post again.

lantanna - no we didn't eat the celeriac, could decide how too and now it's gone off. I think someone must have had it their cupboard for quite a while then decided to donate to the veg box:mad:.. i'd always put fresh veg/fruit in the box, but that's just me..

Sorry to hear you're not on form this week... x

mumoftwo - can't wait to see some food p*rn - can't see it at work - i keep forgetting to take pictures and i'm usually half way through eating it by the time i remember :rotfl:

Hope you get some sleepy time lush!

So extra easy for me today
    B - banana, coconut yogurt (1)
L - potato skins, salad, pickles
T - bbq pork lasagne(hea), pineapple, coconut quark, small grating of choc (1)
    S - crisps (5)

No Heb yet, so may have an alpen/hifi later or something

    Good Afternoon :)
