Well determined to get back to target next week, food sorted for weekend. Had a mad fit this morning and cleared a lot of leftover bits out of the freezer, threw it all in pressure cooker and have made a lovely stew.

There was a bit of beef stew, a bit of beef chilli, cabbage, carrots, parsnip, sweetcorn, cauliflower broccoli, onions, potato . leek and celery.
threw it all in with a can of tomato and a can of mushy peas and a couple of oxo and handful of soup mix.

Its really lovely and made a huge pan which will see me through the weekend, going to make fruit salad with leftover fruit and I have made up 8 sugarfree jellies.

I have a jar of pickled eggs that I made with reduced eggs a couple of weeks ago, some yoghurt and some laughing cows .

Not going anywhere near the shops this weekend and have told grandson if he wants fish and chips tonight he can fetch it himself and sit on the step to eat them :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    Thanks Meg72 - Fingers crossed

I'm off out for dinner tonight and will have what I fancy & intend on having some chocolate when I get home - tomorrow will be a bit lax but not totally off plan.

Sunday, Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday strictly on it - superfree explosion and hopefully I will drop that lb!!!!!!!!!!

Enjoy your weekend in, after tonight I'm sitting in the rest of the weekend in peace !

    Oh you cruel woman you!!!
I'm using up leftovers tonight too. When I was unpacking shopping I've taken all last week's bits from the fridge so we'll have a tray of roasted veg (garlic, tomato, mushrooms, peppers, courgette, carrots, red onions) with our gammon and new potatoes.

I got 2 packs of 5% pork mince reduced in Sainsbury's while I was out. I've got an old SW recipe for pork burgers with sage that I'll make up tomorrow for the freezer.

Good to hear lots of positivity.:)

seems to be a week of STS as I had one to!

Was talking to hubby about it earlier a sts when I have been on plan bothers me more then a gain when I have been naughty.

Having a couple of green days this week, and trying to change up my heb. Started training for my new job so been eating a bit more fruit then usual but saying that I have had speed soup for lunch 5 days this week.

Well done, beanie, lois, nic, bunty, Eric and lantanna.

Meg your leftover mix reminds me of when our kids were wee and I’d make “mystery pie”, which meant any leftover bits like yours, thrown in together with a pastry lid, with the veg on the side. It led to some interesting meat and flavour combinations, lol. This week is “eat out of the freezer week.” I’ve designated last week in the month for this, not only to save pennies, but to make a bit of space in the freezer and try and keep the odd bits tamed (and avoid mystery pie). It’s always amazing how much is in there, considering it’s only a wee freezer!

I forgot to post a menu for today; here’s the damage.

Breakfast: melon, blueberries, strawberries and raspberries with Total 0% fat Greek yogurt
Lunch: hexb bread spread with hexa Philly light and filled with smoked salmon, followed by apple & grapes
And then it went a bit wrong!
Dinner: shared a take away chicken tikka masala & boiled rice with DH. (7.5 syns); also some mixed pakora – I took the battery stuff off and didn’t have any of the sauce, so does that make the chicken & veg free?
Snacks: mint choc biscuit (6 syns)
Total syns so far: 13.5, plus I intend to have a couple of garibaldis (4 syns) later.
I’ve been quite good over the last few days so I hope I can accommodate this.

Saturday’s Menu – getting back on track :)
Breakfast: hexb porridge made with water, splash of hexa milk, Clementine
Lunch: hm lentil soup, Shape 0% yogurt, melon
    Dinner: spaghetti Bolognese, mixed salad
Snacks: Walkers Light ready salted crisps (6), 2 garibaldis (4)
    Total planned syns: 10

I found it often happened that I'd have a STS or very small loss one week followed by a bigger loss the next although I was on plan the whole time. I'm a firm believer that if you've been 'good' it will show up eventually. Keep plodding.;)

P.S. wanted to thank you for your savoury mince recipe. It was delicious. Half left for a cottage pie this week.:)
