Hope you're well!
Just wanted to pop my head in and say howdo - the husband and I are doing SW, and have lost 30lb between us so far, with a lot more to go.
I've been a loiterer for ages but just wanted to say thanks for these threads, they're good for keeping on track!
Many thanks

I'm with you ginvzt - can't stand the Total 0% yoghurt I find the texture really "weird" not like yoghurt at all. I don't eat natural yoghurt very often but when I do I like the Tesco fat free Greek yoghurt.

I don't eat yogurt as a rule because I find it too sloppy. The Total 0% is more like whipped cream but I only buy it occasionally usually when English strawberries in season.just_the_two_of_us wrote: »Hi - just popping on to report 1.5 lbs off again this week. need to lsoe 1lb next week to get to my target. Then will review again after Xmas!
Haven't had chance to read back but keep up the good work everyone. x
Well done, almost there.;)Hi Maman.
Thank you. I did not know I could save syns up in this way!
To be honest the only reason I did not have syns today was because I am not hungry. Today is a red day and I usually have more syns on red days.
I don't think that would be the official SW advice but it works for me and most others on the thread. I tend to eat very low syn during the week and save them for weekends. What matters is that you do have some and you don't deprive yourself of all treats. That way you'd give up all too soon.:)
Leave those crisps where they are shala. Just think how good you'll feel when they're still there for a (within plan) snack tomorrow.:)
Glad you survived the soup run flutterby.:)
ahrimaniac, I'm pleased you find our thread helpful. Please call by any time.
Changed my mind about lunch as forgot I had some bacon open in fridge to use up. So I had a bacon/mushroom/spring onion/potato omelette with beetroot. Sprinkled on some grated cheese before putting it under the grill but I'm counting that in HEA as haven't had much milk today.0 -
Afternoon all
What a chatty lot you are, it's taken ages to catch up!
Well done ginzvt, that was a great result. Shame about the flasher,
I didn't realise they were so strict in Germany.
What's speed soup? Is there a recipe somewhere?
Re my confusion about SF foods, I think I was getting mixed up with success express, but it worked pretty well the first week so I'm going to continue trying to include 1/3rd with each meal whenever I can. I eat lots of vegetables as a rule anyway, so I'm not sure eating meals I would eat anyway would make any difference!
Today I've had fruit and yogurt for breakfast, ham salad with frittata for lunch and I'm doing sausage ragout tonight, using the rest of the turkey sausages from Aldi. The ragout contains onions, tomatoes and peppers so I won't need any additional veg.
Interesting to hear your comments about consultants in group - when I first joined SW I had a lovely lady who always seemed to get the balance right with everything, giving people equal attention, involving the group to advise people who were having problems and not judging at all. Sadly she was taken ill and her replacement was dreadful and
I frequently found an excuse not to stay after weigh in.
I recommended SW to a friend who went a couple of times to a different group and then gave up. When I asked her why she didn't like it, she said it was all the clapping in class and being singled out to talk about progress. I thought that part was really useful, but I guess it isn't for everyone.
Catch you later.

Afternoon all,
Wow this thread moves faster and faster every week!
Not having a great day today; I've done something to my shoulder/arm/neck so am in agony on the left (not making driving easy!) and then my friend is buying our old travel system and was supposed to pay yesterday...she didn't but also didn't tell me that she wasn't! That's left money wonky and from tomorrow I'll only have £4 in the bank until my health insurance payment comes in from my new contact lenses (fingers crossed its paid Thursday!) bah!
Anyway, not made fantastic choices but I have to say the Ready Brek is making for an amazing filling brekkie and keeps me going ages and a sneaky jump on the scales this morning is showing a loss so fingers crossed it stays that way until I officially weigh in on Thursday!
Anyway, starting fresh tonight with a lovely chicken salad with lettuce and spinach
Also, seriously need to give myself a talking to about not drinking enough. I am feeling the lack of water today************************************

Yes things are whizzing along here!! Wanted to comment on Ginvzt and your 'flash' - banning you from driving seems really harsh, I have had more than my share of speeding tickets but no ban thank goodness. Hope you're ok about it now.0

Afternoon all
It's the same every week. It's the same people who get the attention and the gushing every single week and its rare she even bothers asking me if I need any help or anything else. I go to group now purely for the social aspect as I am a member of the social team and its virtually the only social interaction I get all week. I just get the feeling my piddly little loss is a bit of an embarrassment when there's people in group who've lost so much more and are insufferably smug about it which annoys me more
Stressful day today. I had to submit my assignment today but first I had to be up at 6.30am to go with OH to get the car serviced. We waited for an hour and a half in the service place and I managed to get half of my assignment done. I went for a walk when we got back and then have been beavering away on my lappy from 12.30 to 4.30 when I finally hit submit. Unfortunately the spare keyboard I have been using as my laptop keyboard has several broken keys decided that the I key and the O key were going to break just as I started but luckily those keys still worked on my lappy so I managed to type it between the two keyboards  thankfully my next assignment isn't due in until the end of January and I'm getting a new lappy for Xmas :j

What's speed soup? Is there a recipe somewhere?
Lois Lane - it's a soup that has speed/super speed ingredients which is meant to boost weight loss, but it can have some, ahem, side effects!! :rotfl:.
Ingredients- 1 can of mixed bean salad (drained)
- 1 can of green lentils (drained) - I used handful of red lentils
- 2 cans of chopped tomato
- 1 can of baked beans (drained)
- 2 large leeks (chopped) - I used an extra onion
- 1 large onion (diced)
- 4 medium carrots (chopped)
- 2 parsnips (diced) - I hate these so used some cooked butternut squash that I had leftover.
- 1 green pepper
- 1 red pepper
- 1 yellow pepper
- 2 stock cubes
- salt & pepper -I added big pinch of chilli flakes too
- water enough to cover all the ingredients
Instructions- Prepare vegetables & drain cans
- Put into saucepan - I had to use 2 pans as even my biggest pan was way to small!
- Pour stock over the ingredients so it just covers over
- Bring pans to the boil then simmer until vegetables are soft (20-25 mins)
- Serve it chunky or blend ( I blended)

Here to report a 1lb off at WI. I'm a bit annoyed with myself, because although it is a loss and I should be happy, I know I wasn't on plan and feel like I could have tried harder and got a bigger number. No pleasing some people
I logged onto the SW website to fill my graph in and it knew that I got Miss Slinky which was a bit scary!
New week, new determination. 1lb off my 3.5 stone shiny and I will get it next week
I absolutely agree that consultants will make or break your group. Mine is lovely and I'm used to the happy clappy stuff now although I still find it a bit embarrassing when it is my turn! Our stand in is really nice as well.
I didn't stay to class tonight because the baby is full of snot and I left him home with daddy. Took me way longer to weigh than usual because I had to explain his absence to everyone and why they weren't going to get cuddles this evening :rotfl::heartpuls Daughter born January 2012 :heartpuls Son born February 2014 :heartpuls
