Good morning all! Well done B_E_G!!!!! Fantastic loss!

I had a crap day at work yesterday, and got flashed (by traffic camera) on the way home. I went on autopilot - stopped at the red light for pedestrian crossing, the people passed, and I went. Next hing I am seeing a flash!!!! So, that will mean 200 euros fine, 2 points, and a ban on driving for a month... Now just need to wait for the lovely letter.... Spent the rest of the evening crying... This morning my car was going to the garage and I was going to take OH's car to work, but I went to pick him up from the garage after dropping off my car, and just couldn't cope with driving, asked him to drive me to work, and will take a train home or he will come to pick me up. Still want to cry about such a silly mistake!!!!

Right, weigh in this morning - 4lb loss. I am only 100g over the target I had for this week (89kg or less by the time we go on holiday - and I still have a few days as we are leaving on Friday!).

I will weigh in next week when I am back from our holiday, so it will be no earlier than Saturday and I really do not expect a loss or STS - will be happy if it is only 2lb on or so...

  • Good Morning all and thank you for your warm welcomes!

I don't get on to read as often as I would like, but certainly will keep scrolling back at every opportunity for inspiration!

Maman, thank you......actually for the Onken syns......I love that yog!! I will defo be getting a tub of that in my shopping this morning, but also for your suggestions. I would never have thought of swirling some sweetener through greek yoghurt, will give that a try, What syns are meringues? I could take a deconstructed Eton mess for my sweet hit lol!!! (If only I could get time to eat it)

Now, I'd like to ask about actifry chips......how well do these sit with SW. OH wants some tonight with gammon and eggs, and made me think of SW chips and whether actifry are a substitute (other than counting 3 syns for half of the oil used??)

Have a good day all - the sun is shining here, I don't know that it will last so going to get the pooch out for a good walk before it disappears then head off to do my shopping with my mind firmly on SW!!! x

Fab losses b_e_g and ginvt :T:T

Welcome grumpy :) I haven't worked nights in a long while but I remember the dip in energy levels about 3am. I'd honestly suggest you save your syns for then and have that sugar hit - look at what's best value (ie. most you can eat for the least syns) of your fave choc or biccies :D

Still need a slap ladies, although so far today all is going well :rotfl:

I'm sat here next to my Christmas tag that we were given at group to motivate us. Have just written that I want my 4 stone shiny by then. You never know, it might work ;)

I'm nervous about weigh in later. I weighed at home this morning (as I have done every day this week (oops)) and think I will get a loss of at least a pound but all will be revealed later.

I hope everyone has a good day.

My menu was boiled eggs for b.fast. warburtons thin (5 syns) and beef slices/English mustard for lunch and probably fish for tea. with some thin chips (syns) for tea post weigh in.

I have fruit to snack on :) I get the munchies this morning and may have chocolate syns also tonight !!

Welcome Grumpy - a deconstructed eton mess would be a great idea for your sweet hit and only 3 syns for the meringue nest (or 1 syn each for the mini meringues).

Something else which would be take for lunches would be crustless quiche or frittata - you can get loads of veg into those. I like to make mine in silicon muffin moulds so you can take as many or as few as you like - they've lovely with some salad for work or you can have them hot with SW chips done in the Actifry if you like. You can make them Free in the Actifry if you use Frylight spray rather than oil, although if you prefer to do them in oil then as you say would be 3 syns for your half of the Tbs of oil.

A Green day for me today:

B - mushroom omlette; banana; satsuma
L - Either toasted cheese sandwich or cheese on toast - haven't decided which yet!
D - HM butternut squash and lentil curry with rice.

HEA1 - milk in tea throughout the day
    HEA2 - cheese
    HEB1 - 2 slices bread
    HEB2 - 4 Ryvita this evening

Syns: 20g low fat spread (on Ryvita) 4; fruit split lolly 3.

Hi have just found the SW thread on here while looking up some syn values. I started the Slimming world diet 2 weeks ago as I need to lose 4 stone and set myself a target of losing one stone by Christmas. My first two weeks have been......

    Week 1. 9lb lost
    Week 2. 5lb lost

.....which obviously means I have hit my target already and I am delighted but I know that I cannot expect my weight loss to be anything like the above in the future and also realise that I am going to need to work hard on keeping myself motivated when I see the scales recording loses of 1 or 2lb a week after such a good start. I hope by turning to this forum I can keep my motivation going during the good and bad times!

Hi Erin, I lost 7 lbs in my first week, 4 lbs in my 2nd and reached 6.7 stone off just over a year after joining.

My average loss was 1.5 per week. So you can see how it all adds up - look at it that way, take each stone at a time or half stone. Its great to get a good big loss at the start though get things off to a great start!

    Morning all.

Oh, ginvzt, what a rotten thing to happen. Luckily, I’ve only done the opposite when on autopilot, ie stopped at a green light! Enjoy your holiday.

Delighted for your weight loss ginvzt – I lost 4lbs too this week and finally got over that 13stone wall. I don’t intend to recross it! I don’t know if it was down to fishy week or not. I certainly never felt hungry at all. It was also a week with no socialising. I’ll be able to compare fairly well as I’m going back to a “normal” menu and I’ve no engagements (oh my, that sounds pretentious) – not even a birthday tea.

    Now let’s stick to plan!

Hi everyone, been lurking but need to get back on the wagon. I got to target last Christmas stopped going to group and finally plucked up the courage to get on the Wii this morning. 1stone 10lb on, back to a year gone May-so annoyed with myself I knew I'd put a bit on but everyone still saying you look great ( why not tell me the truth!).

Anyway can I have 10lb for Christmas challenge if possible.

So far today pineapple and yoghurt.

    Thanks all.
