  • Now, I'd like to ask about actifry chips......how well do these sit with SW. OH wants some tonight with gammon and eggs, and made me think of SW chips and whether actifry are a substitute (other than counting 3 syns for half of the oil used??)
    x

Don't forget that olive oil can be your "B" choice if you aren't using it for anything else. I wouldn't want to put fry light in mine, they are way too expensive to ruin. I have a glass dish that I use for wedges and I can't get it clean any more. Horrid stuff, I do wonder what it does to my insides.

    Anyway,
I have already been out with the dogs and had porridge and banana.
Pasta for tea so might call today green but I'm going to have a root through cupboards to see what takes my fancy for lunch.
I'm hiding 2 honey crunch apples from the children so that I can scoff them tonight when they are in bed.

Thanks greenfinger. I am less than 1/2lb over the 14st, can't wait to cross it....

I know the friends that we are going with are planing a surprise party for my passed birthday. Will try and act surprised and enjoy it...

  • Mrs Ryan it certainly sounds like ready meals may help you with your needs. Hope there are plenty of veggie options for you! :)

Ready meals most likely won't be an option for me. I have a pepper allergy and when I followed WW nearly all of the WW meals had peppers in! :(

Anyone know how many syns in a aunt b's ready made dumpling? Really fancy mince and dumplings and consider buying some Aunt B's so i know how many syns i'm actually having!

Just keeping a finger in the pie so to speak
Missed wi this week as mini me is really not very well and I suspect it's the pre chicken pox symptoms so I have a rather clingy 2 year old limpetted to my side this week. Exercise is out the window as I can't send her to nursery while she's like this :/
My date night Indian has now been cancelled and rearranged twice :( I am actually gutted its my treat :(

Ready meals - I'm not a fan of ding meals tbh unless there majorly unhealthy ones which I'm guessing they won't be?
I don't like microwave rice or pastas they do nothing for me?
The low syn Iceland chicken breasts that are stuffed just tasted really cheap and nasty to me like watery chicken so not nice proper chicken?
I like many are on a budget yet can do sw successfully - but then I'm happy to leave meat and have just a veg stirfry or a mushy pea curry with rice?
Ill have a nose and no doubt the boy will try them when he's in work ;)

    Top girl where are you?
Mrs Ryan nice to see you back?
I think consultants vary and one week shell focus on me who's lost 5 stone but is messing around now and then the next shell focus on target members who have lost 1 stone etc? I think it depends on the make up of the group and new comers to what she focuses on? Ie if the new comers are big then to talk to someone who's lost 5 stone and maintained it off for a year is more inspiring than someone who's lost 1 stone? And the same for when it's members who just want to lost 1 stone - it's all about reading the room I think and that's what I've noticed anyway??

Last week in group me becoming a consultant was put across my bows...
I'm considering it and waiting for my invite to the info event :/

I had a crap day at work yesterday, and got flashed on the way home.

Right, weigh in this morning - 4lb loss. I am only 100g over the target I had for this week (89kg or less by the time we go on holiday - and I still have a few days as we are leaving on Friday!).

Sorry to laugh at your misfortune ginvzt but I have to confess I read flashed in quite a different way.:o

That's a brilliant weightloss. Now go and enjoy your holiday. You'll probably gain a bit but it'll come off quickly once you get back on plan.

Maman, thank you......actually for the Onken syns......I love that yog!! I will defo be getting a tub of that in my shopping this morning, but also for your suggestions. I would never have thought of swirling some sweetener through greek yoghurt, will give that a try, What syns are meringues? I could take a deconstructed Eton mess for my sweet hit lol!!! (If only I could get time to eat it)

Most of the 0% Greek yogurts are syn free. Personally I like Total 0%.

Delighted for your weight loss ginvzt – I lost 4lbs too this week and finally got over that 13stone wall. I don’t intend to recross it! I don’t know if it was down to fishy week or not. I certainly never felt hungry at all. It was also a week with no socialising. I’ll be able to compare fairly well as I’m going back to a “normal” menu and I’ve no engagements (oh my, that sounds pretentious) – not even a birthday tea.

    Now let’s stick to plan!

:T that's another brilliant loss greentiger. I keep hoping for a run with no 'engagements'. After Thursday, I should be OK until next Wednesday but every week up to Christmas seems a bit variable. My plan is just to be angelic on the other days.

    My EE plan for today:
B: NAS Ribena, HEB toast, HEA milk, baked beans
    L: ham, fried veg, beetroot
    D: steak, salad

Syns: scrape of spread, chips at pub (for some inexplicable reason they took JPs off the list when winter menu started), salad dressing tastes very citrusy and not at all oily so low syn, probably some wine syns.

Well done on the fab losses b-e-g, ginvzt and greentiger :j

I'm missing fish.. Might have to go shopping! :p

I've always used frylight in my actifry.. It's not messed it up at all.. Might try using oil for a change to see if any difference in the chips.. Don't have them often so wouldn't mind the syns for the oil.

Porridge, blueberries and drizzle of maple syrup for breakfast http://instagram.com/p/vibKLOGjZi/ - have a big pan of spicy root veg and lentil soup on the go - not sure what to have for tea yet ;)

    Reading the room!!

I like this !! I need to learn to read men! lol

I suspect the ready meals will be something you still have to add your own superfrees too! i.e lasagne and things, although there will no doubt be the predictable roast dinner and a curry of some sort - I'm sure I will try them but can't see that they are going to be a hit with me to be honest!! I'm not sure how cost effective they will be either!

In my group I'm treated as the resident expert on wine syns.:o so I expect to be really busy on the run up to Christmas!:rotfl:Sometimes it's better to remain anonymous.

Oooh! I'd be interested to hear what happens at one of those events.

Hope littleme gets better very soon.:)
