    Hi all

Hope everyone is having a good sunday. Just taken the kiddies to see Santa arrive at our local town so that was good although DS2 who is 3 was more impressed with the fire engine that was leading the parade lol.

I had a good day yesterday as I stuck mostly to plan and had a chinese at night with the family as intended. Managed to resist lots of cakes at mums, especially carrot cake which is my favourite and just had one wee coconut ball. Only one glass of wine last night as I was so tired and decided to have an early night. I am counting the wine and coconut ball as my syns yesterday and will claw some back over the week for my chinese.

Today has been good although I swopped my lunch and breakfast round as I made a SW quiche with bacon, mushroom, tomato and black pudding in and I prefer my quiche cold. However I can honestly say the black pudding did not work and I will not be doing that again!!!! Might try the other half hot for breakfast tomorrow as I am not sure I could face it for lunch again!

Chicken wrapped in bacon with cubed potatoes (heb for olive oil) and loads of veg for tea so apart from my DG coffee and the black pudding (1.5 syns) I have not had any others so will count those towards redeeming the chinese I had last night. HeA was in my quiche. So doing okay today.

Meal plans all done for the week so here's hoping I stick to them.:rotfl:

    Hi all

Having a good day today - got organised this morning and prepared beef tagine which has been in the slow cooker all day. It was going to be lamb tagine but there wasn't any decent lamb in the supermarket so beef it is.

DH and I popped into Aldi today and they had loads of Christmassy bits around the tills - one thing that caught my eye was large star shaped biscuits covered in chocolate and either hundreds and thousands or sugar crystals, they looked yummy but I left them where they were.

Aldi do a lovely Stollen here in Spain too, not sure if it's available in the UK branches as a lot of the other stock here is different. We bought some turkey sausages that were only 5% fat and had them for lunch - DH liked them but I wasn't that keen.

Enjoy the rest of the weekend.

For Shala, WI loss 1lb happy with that as its in the right direction. Tummy still not right though.
Going to try fish this week, bought cheap frozen White fish and salmon trimmings. Would like to know what you use for the sauce in a fish pie please? I have quark and fresh parsley so making a parsley sauce but not sure what it will taste like.
Also are pilchards in tomato sauce still free? Thought I'd have them instead of boiled eggs with my salads this week.
    Thanks in advance :A

Well done losers and hugs to those in need. Hi to the newbies and returnees, always room for more in here :A:T

I make what I call cheats fish pie and use one portion of youngs fish in butter sauce, then adding some smoked haddock and prawns the sauce is quite thick so can water down a bit, its 1.1/2 syns but will make two portions for me.

Edited to say yes Pilchards in tomato sauce are free I find them a great cupboard item for lunch, I like them on toast topped with chopped raw tomato, cucumber and pickled gerkin and also like to do baked potato and mash one in
again with the same topping or just mix one with mashed potato and make fish cake. You usually get 4 or 5 in a can so works out very cheap.

That's fab.. Just what you needed too by the sounds of it :T

I was a bit p'eed off with the STS shala I must admit.. Not to worry, at least it wasn't a gain.. Hope greentiger has better results on the fishy scales ;)

The chicken has been delayed until tomorrow.. I fancied a pizza so making one using 100g crusty wholemeal bread mix so should be 11.5 syns for the whole pizza (counting cheese as HEA) and not the 22 of the one in the fakeaway book.. Will see how it turns out, hope it's worth the syns ;)
