What a brilliant idea. I'd no idea they existed. Will definitely think of that when I need to replace my Crockpot.0 -
Do ye put the slow cooker on and leave it on even if ye are not home. That is the only thing that is putting me off. Once I leave the house at 8 in the morning I am not back until usually after 5 and I would be apprehensive about leaving it on all day to be honestSPC #352

If I'm cooking on low/medium then it goes on just as I'm about to set off. If it's something I'm cooking on high then turning down I switch it on and then call bf to turn it down but if i want it cooked on high at then ready to serve I pop a timer plug in and set it for the time it will need to come on
My gas oven has an auto/timer cook feature which I've only used once when I was in the house but super busy and I'm much more comfortable leaving the slow cooker on than the oven!
Currently making a list of slow cooker meals (its not just soups and stews yay!) so that a couple of time a week we can be using it to save time when I'm at work************************************

Well I've had a major meltdown Thursday night/Friday so haven't been on, really annoyed that I didn't lose weight this week even though I stuck to plan  I felt cheated!.. ended up with a domino's on Friday, ate a whole large pizza throughout the day so I dread to think of the syns, although I didn't eat anything else at all.
Back on it now though.. bought myself a nice top from the sale this morning which fits but could do with a couple of lbs off to make it look lovely!
Bit of a catch up, I have read everyone's posts but I can't remember what I was going to reply to loads.. anyway the ones I can..
kim - I need a target for your challenge please.
Mumoftwo - I've been contemplating scan bran too.. went to Holland and Barrett saw they were £1.55 for 5/6 and put them back, i'll have ryvita instead at 79p in B&M!!
Welcome Lois
Lordduke, I've always left my slowcooker on all day and been out the house, never had any problems with it. Are you concerned about it over cooking food or the possibility of it over heating and causing fires/damage?
Here's the chart for this week.. still missing quite a few results so I may have missed them or a lot of you are Sunday weighers.. let me know if I've missed your result off and i'll update.Mortgage amount at 31/12/2011 £166,050 now £0 as at Sept 21 - 15yrs 4 months early.0 -
Hi Lois
Long time no see.Hope all well with you?
I'm like a bad penny Beanie!
I'm quite well, but I've been having problems with arthritis, particularly in my knees. The doctor said I can have a knee replacement but I need to lose a few stone first, which is why I'm here. Trouble is, as you know, if it's difficult to exercise, it's much harder to lose weight.
