Maman, thank you so much for this!

Kids love frankfurtes, but I think simple pasta sauce is the best. Maybe I will fry up (in very little oil, of course) some onion with grated carrots, then put tomatoes and peas in, that would be even better!

Yes, OH needs to lose, but no self control or enough will to do something about it. Yes, he cooks most evenings now, but under clear instructions of what I will eat/will not eat. And if it soemthing really unsuitable, then I will just have somethng else. He is trying to keep to the instructions and either uses no oil or very little now, has learnt not to dress salad in the salad bowl, but in his own plate (I don't like oil on the salad, and have just a bit of balsamic vinegar with no salt or pepper). I think his biggest problem is portion control though!

Actually, just remembered I still have speed soup in the fridge, so might have a bowl of that and leave pasta just for kids! HeA will be the milk I had and the bit of cheese on the veg, I might have another coffee later on, so that will use up the remaining diary alowance.

I had no HeB yet, so need to look what to use that for. maybe a slice of bread with the soup or if I am hungry in the afternoon, will have the raisin wheats.

Wish I was weighing in today as the scales are being kinder to me this morning :rotfl:

Just made a big pan of pea and ham soup.. Tastes delicious - lunches sorted for the next few days ;)

We had a stand in consultant for a couple of weeks during the summer.. Someone mentioned my fitness pal and he nearly tore her head off saying if she wanted to follow other methods she shouldn't be doing SW.. So rude and was mad at myself later for not responding to him after he told me I shouldn't be using syns on tomato sauce but should make it from the little book recipe.. Said syns should only be used for treats!! Wouldn't attend one of his groups!

Not sure what to have for tea... Only have salmon in the fridge but do I want more fish? :p

That consultant sounds horrible! Maybe tomato sauce is a treat for you - none of his business! He basically wants you to use the syns on the cakes and alcohol then? Very healthy!

And yes, you want more fish :)

It was!.. Was ages telling one lady how she could save all her syns for bottles of wine at the weekend..

Ha ha.. Salmon it is then ;)

Anyone here is using myfitnesspal? I have just subscribed, and wondering what is the best way to get most of it?

I started using it last week and I lost 1lb. I find it useful to manage my free foods. Although on SW they are free they still have calories and I think I was using too many. I am fairly inactive due to having Chronic Lyme Disease so use very few calories, compared to a 'normal' person. I have the app on my phone and I love the way you can scan the barcodes to get the calorie content. Yesterday for example I was on a Green day but I wasn't going to bother with my exta Hex's until I realised I would be having far too few calories. On other days I have thought 'I'll just have a banana or I'll have a few more pieces of broccoli', but when I've checked on myfitness pal it made me realise it would take me over my limit for the day. I haven't tried the forums yet.

I've also downloaded an app that counts how many steps I do each day. Its made me realise how inactive I am! I manage an average of 2,000 steps at day!

Thanks durham_mim! I am rather inactive too, especially when I am at work siting in front of the desk all day. I have put few fitbits on my watch list on ebay, will see if I can get them cheaply.

I guess I could get cheapo pedometer to see how many steps I am actually doing. I have a heart rate monitor that I use when running, maybe I could wear it 24 hours for a few days and see how I am actualy doing...

Oh I'm sure you keep him well happy Maman!!!

To me syns are there for whatever you fancy them for - not to be dictated to by anyone else!

I would never attempt to make tomato sauce - not cause theres anything wrong with it I'm sure but just because I like my squeeze of Heinz when I have it and that's it.

My syns go on crisps, chocolate, sauces, more cheese, gin or vodka and now I'm trying to reintroduce wine slowly in small measures to see what happens after giving it up for a long long time ! I might treat myself to some tonight!! :D

If I maintain for the next two weeks I'll be happy as I've meals out etc and then I'll have a full attack week and hopefully kick that last two lbs butt!!!
