Good morning! Early morning in our house as OH had a train at 5am, but I didn't hear him get up and leave. However, the piglets got up at 5:15am today!!!!!!!! At least it was not too difficult to get them out of the house by 7am for the nursery this morning then.

    So, menu:
B: boiled eggs, coffee with a bit of milk, biscuit (3syns)
L: gammon steak, roast butternut squash, veg gratin (a bit of chease)
    D: ?????

So, dinner is not clear yet. I was thinking about making some pasta for kids, could I have some of that too? If I call it Extra Easy day, can I have some pasta? Not sure what sauce to make yet either! Have some bolognese in the freezer, but not sure I want to take it out. Or maybe give pasta to kids and have a jacket potato with baked beans for me? Which would be a better option? I will have some veg on the side too, hopefully.

  • Well done to all yesterday's losers :T

I am always an early risers whether I need to be up or not - this morning it was 8.40 when I came around  Had trouble getting off to sleep last night and a very early bathroom visit were probably the reason for this. Out of my routine now but the first job on the list is a visit to Sainsbobs - yaaaaay (not) :(

Chucking it down here today but not as bad as a lot of others. Saw some pics of NI last night and they have taken a proper battering. Stay dry and safe everyone.

Awh Maman I feel sorry for OH did he not go ahead and get one anyway? You could split one with him sometimes and the syns?
Mich & Ginvt I sometimes think it works a week behind, well I think it does for me anyway so hopefully you will both see losses next week.
    Well done Beanie!
STS for me Shala - hey at least I am consistent! lol
Happy enough with that after being ill last week and visiting the chippy & the crisp aisle
2 lbs to target - not sure it will be this week but hoping to see it very very soon

Believe you me we did get a proper battering!! Seems a lot more settled today apart from the gale force winds !

I was 10 mins late and one of the managers made a sarky comment to me - they would rather we kill ourselves getting here than be 10 mins late clearly. Has annoyed me truthfully but putting it out of my head.

I think its a hibernation weekend for me :rotfl: if the weather continues!

Anyone here is using myfitnesspal? I have just subscribed, and wondering what is the best way to get most of it?

I used to use it loads in the beginning and it certainly opens your eyes to how much you are eating and the calories and fat content involved. I log in everyday still and read the forums (I like the success stories to motivate me!) but don't log my food as I prefer to do SW in my head (if that makes sense!) :D

Don't feel sorry for him lantanna. He meant well, trying to save me work but he's happy with what he's given and as I had defrosted a SW curry there were no complaints and easy for me.:)

Glad you're OK despite horrible weather.

That 2lbs will come off ......eventually.;)

As you've got gammon planned then it needs to be either Red or EE. Only EE would fit with a jacket or pasta. An easy child meal is just a simple tomato sauce with a few herbs and grated cheese on top. I've sometimes sliced in some frankfurters (not the healthiest I know :o). That's probably best for you too (NOT the frankfurters though:eek:) as it'll have tomato but you'll still need more SFs. Fruit? And be careful on the HEA as you've already had some cheese and milk.

I don't use it but we have had people who combine it successfully with SW. And I've heard of people combining SW with 5:2. Basically you eat SW friendly but keep it within the calorie requirement for mfp. It might mean you have to cut down on food or increase exercise but it wouldn't do any harm to try.

Excuse my nosiness but what you were saying about BMI suggests your DH needs to lose too and he often cooks in the evening so you don't know what you're getting. How knowledgeable is he about SW? Does he know what's synful? Would he be able to work to a meal plan?

The reason I'm asking is because my DH does breakfasts and when I started I wrote a list for him of what I could eat and what I couldn't. he soon got the hang of using frylight etc.

So far I've had my SW breakfast (2 fried eggs on HEB toast). I've got some LO veg to use up in fridge. But I need to do a meal plan and hit the shops before dinner is organised. Strangely b.e.g. I don't dislike food shopping. I makes me feel in control when plan is done and cupboards/fridge full and all set to go.

Wish I was weighing in today as the scales are being kinder to me this morning :rotfl:

Just made a big pan of pea and ham soup.. Tastes delicious - lunches sorted for the next few days ;)

We had a stand in consultant for a couple of weeks during the summer.. Someone mentioned my fitness pal and he nearly tore her head off saying if she wanted to follow other methods she shouldn't be doing SW.. So rude and was mad at myself later for not responding to him after he told me I shouldn't be using syns on tomato sauce but should make it from the little book recipe.. Said syns should only be used for treats!! Wouldn't attend one of his groups!

Not sure what to have for tea... Only have salmon in the fridge but do I want more fish? :p
