Morning, can I join in please? I've rejoined SW last Thursday. It's my 3rd attempt at it. The first time I did it I lost 3 1/2 stone, the second time my heart wasn't in it, the my consultant left due to illness, so I gave up.
4 years on and another baby, I am the heaviest I've ever been. I feel sluggish and out of breath. So I am in it for th long haul.

I've always enjoyed SW, and even when not on plan, I always have it in my head and make SW friendly choices.
But I've enjoyed too much wine and share bags of crisps, and the weight has crept on.

My first weigh in is on Thursday, so unsure how I am doing. I have hidden the scales in the house as I'm a scale hopper.
I am struggling with breakfast ideas, so needed to get on here and get ideas and see what everyone else is doing.

I had too much wine on Saturday night :o so I'm reducing my syncs each day until the wine is counted for.

Meal plan for today is- EE

Brekkie- shape yoghurt and banana (free)
Lunch- cheese sandwich and mugshot ( hea, heb), satsuma
Tea- heck chicken burger, SW wedges, salad, hm coleslaw with ff and mayo (2 syns)

Other syns- marg - 1 syn, kitkat 5 1/2 syns

Me either re the fruit juice! I used to love Apple & Cranberry and would have bought it occasionally and have drunk the whole carton in one day usually. I don't miss it either.

NAS Squash all the way now - that's all I really drink!
  • Morning all,

On track so far; and it definitely is a busy day. Manager and I are having a get together when she's back from a meeting about the team finances and then we are off to another meeting in another city (not too far away though) so no chance for veering off during working hours and determined to behave tonight at BILs and SILs :)

    Hi nic!

It's probably the cake that's pushed it from an OK day to really high but if you've been saving syns for a treat then that's fine. If I have coffee when I'm out I tend to go for an Americano with a small jug of hot milk that I count as part of my HEA. Lattes can be very high syn so not sure where the caf! au lait lies on that spectrum.

Overall I don't think your meals are that big. My own portions are large but I only have single courses whereas when you're in restaurants they mostly make them to be part of a 3 course meal.

Thank you for this! I don't like filter coffees and the 'long# ones (the big mugs of coffee). I can have espresso sometimes, or I go for milky ones. I often instead of a coffee order a tea when we are out, and that works well.

I think I am in genberal a bit off, as this morning I couldn't finish my breakfast either! I have a bowl of salad for lunch in front of me, and not sure I want to even touch it.

Anywa, cake or no cake, I have to report STS for last week.... So that means that I have one week (ok, 9 days) till my first personal target since I started SW, and I need to lose 4.2lb in that time. I know it can be done, but it will be hard, as I have not lost that much since I started SW!

Welcome Nic  welcome to the board..

Here's your chart for the week everyone, bit of an issue trying to work out SOTW this week!! I think I've got it right, I know other people lost more but I don't have results from last week so they don't qualify...

    Anyway SOTW goes to :T:jginvzt:j:T

    Well done!!!!

Why not try some version of Success Express ginvvzt? There are details about highest syn values and HEXs but just upping the SFs to two thirds would really help and keep up the fluids.

I often have tea when I'm out too, especially fond of Earl Grey and then no milk either.;)

Welcome nic. How are you fixed for time in the mornings? What you have for breakfast would depend if you've time to cook and whether you're the sort of person who can face a largish meal in the morning. If you can then I think it really helps to prevent snacking later.

Hope your meetings go well lush. You'll deserve your glass of wine when you get to BIL's this evening.:)

I like Earl Grey too, but my favourite is Lady Grey... And since they don't have it here, I often stick to herbal ones, especially if I am out with the kids, as they will steal some from me all the time! So, I love pepermint or camomile.

I am going to look in the Success Express. I know my one problem (or, there are many, I know!) is not drinking enough. Yesterday I had a cup of coffee in the morning, a big glass of mint tea at lunch, only had cafe au lait as OH insisted he wanted a cake and a coffee before we went home, and made myself drink two more small glasses of water at home. I know this is not nearly enough! But I think I got used to not having a drink whole day when children were in the first year (2.5 now), as I literally had no time to eat or drink when they were not sleeping, and once they went down for the naps (a lucky day when both slept at the same time for the same amount of time), there was always so much to clean, to cook, etc., that the drink was a luxury! (How silly does that sound when I look back?...)

    Thanks for the welcome. :D

I have plenty time in the morning, generally I'm getting packed lunched made up, hubby's brekkie then the school run, I tend to have a coffee while doing all that's then eat when I get back. I work from home and have a pt job 2 evenings a week.
This morning I made hubby scrambled eggs and turkey rashers.( he's trying to follow the plan with me) But I never feel like anything like that. Only at the weekends.
I would prefer to have a free brekkie, or very low syn so I can save my heb for through the day.
Most meals I make are either free or a couple of syns for sauces etc.

Another questions I was wondering was. Do you eat before class or after? My class is 7:30pm and it went on til 9pm ish. I ate before last time, but I feel i'll weigh more then lol. 9pm is a bit late to eat for me mind you.
There are 2 earlier classes, but the 7:30 one is quieter and the kids are heading to bed around then, so easier to go out. X
