    grrrr... pesky flipping cats!!

    just found this.. http://instagram.com/p/vRH4ROmjd1/

all that remained of the fish I was defrosting for tea.. luckily for him I had another piece in the freezer!.. last week the nibbler ate his way thru a packet of scan bran too.. he's on track anyway! :rotfl:

Bad pu$$ycat!! :rotfl: I think he's had his punishment if he's eaten scanbran!!

    Loving the diary btw...

    Well done Meg :T:T

Here's my dinner for tonight - 4 syns for the pie thing.. it was only one bit of filo pastry as well! it was amazing though!

Butternut squash, spinach and feta tart, spicy spuds and salad
    1111_zpse9b275a9.png

Greentiger.. the pancakes are the SW magic ones.. but I tweaked a little. It's free of syns but uses a HEB.

    Original recipe
    •35g porridge oats
    •half muller light yoghurt
    •2 tbsp granulated sweetener
    •2 eggs

    My recipe
    •35g porridge oats (heb)
    •100g natural yogurt
    •1tsp sweetner
    •1 egg
•splash of milk if needed from your Hea

I thought the original recipe was a bit eggy and too much sweetner so I reduced both (and it's cheaper)

All you do is soak the oats in the yogurt over night and then in the morning add the egg and sweetner and cook as you would normal pancakes.

Well done on SOTW ginvzt :T

My willpower had gone walkabout yesterday lantanna (you hadn't borrowed it by any chance did you)? :D I succumbed to a bacon sarnie in a white bun whilst out shopping with DH. I opened it up to check on the leaness of the bacon and add a little ketchup only to find that the bun had been buttered but the heat of the bacon had melted it and I couldn't scrape it off (shame I hear you say) ;). Had a choccie biscuit mid afternoon - tend to save choccie treats for night time, had a couple of squares of choccie after wi then when DS came in from work he had two whoopsied choux buns (I shared one with DH - I had small half). Thankfully I have been quite angelic today - so far that is. :D

Had hm lasagne with cauli, brocolli and sweetcorn for tea tonight followed by a satsuma. Might have hexb of prunes or almonds for supper and a little choccie wispa biscuit and a cup of tea ;)

DH has made a cottage pie for tomorrow with the lo mince so will have that with plenty of veggies.

We have a butternut squash and looked on the SW website for recipe idea - the spicy butternut squash soup appealed but we don't have any leeks in so it will have to wait for another time.

Oh mich, I had to laugh at the cat – fish debacle. Did they get the rest of it, perchance, rather than throwing it out? I remember I was in the middle of putting away my shopping once when the phone rang. I returned to find a neighbour’s cat tucking into a bag of frozen sprouts! I’m lucky; my cat will not touch anything that is not on the floor. But hell mend you if you put anything down there for a nano second when she’s around!

Thanks for the pancake recipe, shala. I’ll have a go at them.

Beanie, if I left money in plain sight like that, it’d vanish I’m sure. But I do like the idea – maybe I’ll start putting a fiver away in my £2 tin every week.

I have behaved today and not gone outwith my plan. In fact, I will not have one of the choc digestives because I didn’t have my cheese, cracker & grapes after dinner, so I’ll have that for supper – with an extra cracker. And I will still be 2 syns under the 11 I planned for. :A

    Wednesday’s Fishy Dishes
Breakfast: scrambled egg and smoked salmon, tomato, hexb toast
Lunch: vegetable & fish selection sushi (3), apple
Dinner: sea bass, baby potatoes, green beans & carrots, followed by sf jelly & fruit
Snacks: 3 hexa mini babybel light & grapes, 2 choc digestives (8)
    Total syns planned: 11
