Hi all
-1lbs this week for me if you can update on the spreadsheet Shala please.
However it has gone a bit downhill since! My SW week starts on Thursdays. On Thursday I felt very unwell, nauseous and hot/cold flushes. I stuck to plan in the day but didn't eat much and had oven chips and roll for tea as this was all I fancied, so I was on plan and within syns. But yesterday my appetite returned and I had chips for lunchmy plan was to have a syn free tea but then OH took us out to Harvester for dinner! Whoops. I did make good choices, no pudding either.
But my issue is that tonight I'm going out for food and drinks with friends. The place is BYOB. Luckily I know what I'm having and it is quite low syn (salad, falafel and hummous starter, and veggie tagine with rice and couscous for main, fruit pudding) but I will be drinking. (Yes I know I could not but I want to as I've not been out for ages, and for once I have a free lift home - taxi is £40).
So if you have got this far :rotfl: do I count yesterday as a flexi syn day and just take what I have tonight out of the total weekly syns remaining for my SW week? I get 20syns a day so have 100 left from today to Weds, could have 60 today and then 10 a day for rest of week?
This is the first time in 14weeks that I have gone off plan and I'm panicking especially as it is star week too!!

Morning all,
Hope all going well with ye. I have stayed on track yesterday and so far today so it is all good. I was looking at the books on the stand at group and was wondering if there was any particular one that you would recommend to buy. I don't mind buying one to start out so that I can get into good habits early by cooking low syn meals.
Mich can i ask you what or how you coated the salmon with. Was it just some chilli flakes? It looks yumSPC #352

I enjoyed it and hubby was very impressed. It turns out that cabbage is another one of the foods he's not keen on eating as his mum always served up overboiled cabbage as a side dish and he hated it :rotfl:
Reminds me of a friend who said his mum always got up early on Christmas Day...to put the sprouts on!:rotfl:
Seriously though, I think lots of people have been turned off veg by having it badly and/or unimaginatively cooked. Speaking as the SF police, I love veg and think everyone else should!!;)Thanks maman, I slept straight through for 12 hours:eek: luckily I have the whole week off work :j:j so I should be alright now... x
Saw the Heck chicken burgers on Facebook yesterday, they looked nice and are 1 syn. Tesco says they have them and they're a special price of £2, but not sure what the normal price is anyway.
Glad you're feeling better shala. Any plans for the week off?
I think there's confusion between the Heck burgers and the Heck sausages. Burgers don't appear on the SW site yet but chicken sausages are half a syn. I'll be pleased to hear when someone's tasted the burgers.Catcherupper14 wrote: »Hi all. Could I please join in? I have lost 7lb over the last two weeks with my local slimming world group, but have fallen off the wagon this week, which is typical of me.
I have promised myself that I will go back to group (another unhelpful behaviour is quitting as soon as I think I'm going to put on weight).
Oh no, you mustn't quit!! You've proved it works and you can do it by losing half a stone in two weeks. Now get menu planning and shopping for the week coming up. And keep posting.:)
Flutterby, I'd definitely work on the syn bank idea. Enjoy your night out and then eat low syn/syn free for the rest of the week. Have a good time.:)
LD, unless you're someone who really likes browsing cookery books then I think you'll get plenty f recipes from the magazines, from the internet, asking on here or adapting your usual recipes. That's what I think but others may disagree.
My EE plan:
B: NAS Ribena, kippers, HEB bread, HEA milk
L: probably JP with cottage cheese and pickles (bit obsessed with this lately) or maybe an omeletteSW burger, SW chips, mushrooms, tomatoes, fried onions, peas
Syns: scrape of spread, squirt of HP sauce, weekend wine:j
Oh and I forgot, home match today so obligatory half a Crunchie with my half time coffee.;)0 -

Have to agree about the books, I went a bit Ott when I joined and bought several but have to admit rarely look at them now, I love the magazine and of course this thread and now having de-mystified the plan, common sense really, frylight and no sugar, I really enjoy throwing my own ideas together and tweaking recipes I come across and thanks to you my lovely now eat more veg than meat.
I would buy a pound of meat and do a meal for 4 as the recipe now I can do 4 meals for 250gr, win win, lose weight and half of meat bill.Slimming World at target0 -
