I have been reading about these Heck sausages and would like to try them, where do you get them please.

Maman is right I get the sausages in Mr T. I am the only one in my house that eat them so I freeze them in 2's but understand they would work out expensive if everyone in the family was eating them.

That sounds yummy mim. Which spices did you use? Did you roast the cauliflower from raw or parboil it?

I used raw cauliflower. In a bowl place a tbsp Turmeric, 1/4tsp chilli powder(more if you like it hot), 1/2 tsp salt. Mix together place cauliflower florets in bowl, spray with frylite. Mix cauliflower in spices making sure all are coated. Spray a baking tray with frylite and spread the cauliflower on it. Spray the cauliflower one last time before placing in the oven. Cook on Gas 6 until golden brown and crispy. You can make chips in the same way.

Hi. Thanks for all the lovely welcomes, hopefully I shall get to know you all soon and be able to add to the tips!

Tonight I made a macaroni cheese from an old SW book but added lots of extra veg ( mushrooms, leeks, cauliflower and brocolli) so hopefully it was still ok. It was from when it was green or original and was 4 syns then so that's what I'll count it as.

I see a lot of you post your menus here every day so will have to try to get organised and do the same, and then you can put me right when I sin! (sorry can't get the smilie to work)

I have tried the Swartz slow cooker chicken curry and it is very nice and also freezes well.

I also made the sausage and bean soup from the SW magazine but left out the kale. I used the Heck chicken Italia sausages as they are only 0.5 syn each and this soup is yummy and very filling.

I am trying the Heck chicken Italia burgers tonight as they are Free :D

I saw them in Tesco yesterday but didn't want to buy them before I looked up the syns, so thanks for the info, were they good?

Hi, I've now read back through some of this thread, and decided that I'll treat this a a completely new venture, and forget what was done in the SW old days! New start new ways!

If it's not too late, can I still be added to the slinky for Santa challenge please. I haven't a clue how I'll make the font bigger or red, but I'll worry about that when I've got a loss to report! I'm on an iPad so does that do such fancy things? I'm not the slightest bit technology minded so I might take a while to get used to it all. Can I say 8 lb please shall. Thank you.
  • Evening all.... Haven't been online since 30th. Been quite poorly but on the mend now. Anyway.... over 20 pages to catch up on. Never gonna be able to do it (very tired all the time) so I can I just say I hope you are all well. Well done to everyone losing, for those not, keep on trying!

Obviously I haven't been weighed, but there is no way I will have lost weight. Spent a lot of time in bed, on lots of different meds and basically eating whatever I fancy (most of the time rubbish). I suffer from bouts of poor health, and its been a while since I was like this, so I dread to think how much I've gained.

Anyway.... just popping in to say i'm back on it on Sunday once i've been to get weighed to assess the damage. Gonna read back through the plan tomorrow and do some meal planning.

Hope I am welcome back. Sorry I haven't been to update.

    Missed you all!!

    CP xx

    Hello, Bunty.

Tazzy, glad to hear the wee man is well again :)

Thanks for the cauli recipe, durham. Will def try this.

Forgive me, friends, I did not stick to my plan today. I had

Breakfast: boiled eggs & hexb toast (+ butter), Clementine
Lunch: Tomato & herb Mug Shot, choc biscuit
Dinner: lamb & chicken kebab (no sauce), half a pitta bread, hexa milk
    Extras: 3 Werthers

    Oh well, there's always tomorrow!

    Breakfast:berries & grapes
Lunch: hmm, not decided as I'll have 2 grandchildren here, but prob some sort of hexb sandwich with salad, followed by yogurt & fruit
Dinner:slow cooker campfire stew, made with gammon joint (I usually use sausages, but having seen the comments on this thread, I'm being adventurous ;) ) with green beans & potatoes, followed by hexa cheese and grapes

I'm feeling peckish and in need of something sweet right now, so I'm off to have a can of diet irn bru.

Fingers and toes crossed for tomorrow for all of us.
