    I'm in agony with my shoulder and I need to go home and eat sheer stodge to get the industrial strength painkillers into me ! : (

    Any good slow cooker recipes?

    My consultant has recommended a Schwarzer Slow Cooker Curry, chicken, potatoes and spinach in it, only 4 syns for the whole lot. So giving it a go tonight

    Is that a sachet you mix in with the veg in the slow cooker?

    HI all

    all on plan today

    Breakfast: toast (HEb) and peanut butter (5 syns) DG coffee (2.5 Syns) banana
    Lunch SW quiche with bacon, onion, peppers and mushrooms and (HEa) cheese, ML yoghurt
    dinner diet coke chicken with cubed potatoes
    snack: snack a jacks (4 syns)

    drinks green tea and water

    Think I will have gained tomorrow as I feel really bloated and I know that teh start of the week was not good.

  • Hope you are feeling better soon Lantanna, I found that when I'm ill I think somewhere in my brain an alarm goes off 'need reserves! need reserves.' No amount of rational thinking shuts it up ;) It's only been this way since I lost the weight in 2012. Healing and pain requires energy and such (vitamins and all) to mend - think of it that way. :D

    This will be my Friday menu...

    B. Porridge A/B blueberries strawberries.

    L. Carrot and coriander soup. 2 home made potato cakes. 4 Syns ( flour)

    Snack. Clementine x 2

    D. Bacon,B sliced potatoes, tomatoes, garden peas beetroot.

    Supper. Cheese A . 2 ryvitas 3 syns fruit.

    A milk B porridge A cheese B bacon..
    7 Syns
    Water.

    Decided we need a desert, so made key lime pie variation.... I used digestive biscuits and a bit of butter to bind them, which has not worked, way too little butter used for that. I used fat free quark and fat free yogurt for the top, gelatine, lemon jelly powder, zest and juice of three limes and one lemon. It isAnd used the stevia granulated sweetener. It is not overly bad, but far from good - it is a bit bitter from the zest I think, although I was careful when grating it. I think it would be 16 slices, and I would say 5 syns per slice. If only it was not bitter!!!!!
