Lunch just went a bit wrong - ended up having my eggs with mushrooms, tomatoes & peppers which was all good, but had two slices of bread with butter on to keep it company
So that's probably my syns for the day. One slice can be my 2nd HEB but got to syn the rest. I am an idiot, didn't really need the bread, I just wanted it and felt tired and hungry.
Off for a nap in a bit as my parents have my toddler and the baby is sleeping :j:heartpuls Daughter born January 2012 :heartpuls Son born February 2014 :heartpuls

The cheapest way of buying fish is to buy it frozen. I used to eat fish at least 2-3 times a week but haven't been eating it so regularly recently as DH has decided he doesn't like salmon any more! The only time we have salmon now is when I make a fish pie or a fish pasta bake as I like to use a mix of fish ( my DD says I use some pink fish (salmon and sometimes prawns); yellow fish (smoked haddock usually - except I use undyed these days) and white fish (cheap white frozen fish from SM).
I don't think I could do fish everyday but I've also heard that it's good to give you a good weight loss.
If you love fish it certainly seems worth a try.

Great, maybe you want to try the fish week then... I know it is expensive, but in the UK you can find it cheaper - frozen, in the market (near where we used to live we could by a whole salmon for 10 pounds at the end of the market day - It costs 20-30 euros a kg here!)
Good lord is there a fish shortage in Germany!!! ??
I take it not on pigs ears though?? :rotfl:
Meg72 - The closer you get to target or trying to maintain is just as difficult as trying to lose. I don't think it ever gets easy sadly : (0 -
Do you think I could have the skinny fries with my soup tonight?
I had porridge (HEA) with milk (HEB) for breakfast, quark bake with yogurt (finished the pot of the fat one we bought by mistake) - 4 syns.
I also had about 30g of raisin wheats - it could be a HEB 2 or syns, but I am not sure how many.Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0 -

No, no shortage on fish, but I guess since we are quite away from any sea, then costs add up... Even frozen fish is expensive here... Or maybe I haven't learnt how to shop here yet!
Oh, and I so miss lamb...........Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0 -
Aww Lantanna, that would be awful if people are like that in class. Don't let them upset you.
Well, I have gone and done it, I've joined a class. I must be mad! I got the voucher out of the magazine and was going to go just to get new books etc. but the consultant is actually quite nice, down to earth, friendly. I told her I wasn't keen on the clappy bit and she quite understood. After weighing me she whispered: you are actually allowed 20 syns so that's a bonus. So I'll see how I get on. Hoping that it will help me and get some support there. The class is not too big, so fingers crossed .
So my W.I. Day has changed from a Sunday to a Wednesday now
B: apple, boiled egg
L: chicken thighs and salad (cooked in actifry) muller yogurt
T: shepherds pie with lots of veg
HEa: laughing cow lite
Heb: 2 sl of whole meal bread toast (small loaf)
Syns: quavers, olive oil and whatever I fancy tonight
It's really cold today! Brrrrr0 -
I don't eat lamb - I've never liked it!! Is it really expensive there as well??? You probably can get some lovely things though that we can't get and I bet your Lidl is amazing!!
I eat mostly chicken and fish. My dad had bowel cancer so I am funny about processed and red meats - I also don't enjoy a lot or red meat so only have it once a week - some weeks not, sausages of some sort I probably only have a couple of times a month if that. Bacon I do eat every week though - it is too handy and tasty!0 -

Yes, it is expensive.... I think the leg of lamb OH bought few weeks ago was something like 18 eurros per kg, other pieces can go in to 30s...
I tend to go to Aldi more (because Lidl is on the other side of the town and not on the way home), and it is rather similar to the UK. I love the berries from there as they are so much cheaper there than in supermarket next door! And we don't have lean mince here, unless you go to butcher and get him to mince something for you. I got Kenwood chef for Christmas and we got mincer with that, so I have done some HM mince and sausages, and also minced some chicken, which is really lovely! Might have to do that again soon, as I loved the chicken rissoles, mind you, need to check how SW friendly they are!Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0 -

I've fallen off the weight loss wagon big time since completing a moonwalk (powerwalk marathon) in June which meant I had a good few months of training where I could eat what I liked and kept the weight off.
I got down to 11st 6lbs this time last year after having my little boy in Feb 2013 and weighed in at 16st at full term so I think I did pretty well (he was 11lbs though lol!) I was able to maintain that until after my moonwalk in June this year, 2 amazing holidays didn't really help and I just kept eating in holiday mode without doing the training to burn it off!
I've just checked back to a previous post, weirdly from 6/11/2008 on a weight loss thread and I was 16st 4lbs then with no full term baby to blame then!
I'm back up to 12st 5lbs today and am determined never to get back near my heaviest ever again so am trying slimming world as it looks fairly easy to do and fit in with a busy life and looks lie, you still get to eat loads. I hate the difference in my face and tummy with this extra stone
Setting a target of 11st 5lbs by christmas and would love to achieve a target eventually of 10st 7lbs but I'm 5'9, nearly 5'10 so I know that may not be achievable. Determined to get back to some sort of exercise soon too- I do walk a fair bit so maybe just need to up this again.
Looks like a lot of you have had amazing results with SW and I'm sure lots of hard work xxx
