    Hi everyone

Busy week at work then working on the house has meant not a lot of time on here or thinking about food. Has worked in my favour though as I lost 3 lbs last night:j

Now the hard bit, to keep it going this week!!

    EE menu today -
Breakfast - toast and dairylea (using both hexa and b)
Lunch - smoked ham, pickles and huge salad of lettuce, cucumber, red onion, tomatoes, red pepper. Pineapple and mango chunks.
Dinner - SW spag bol with scraping of parmesan (a very small sprinkling so going to be sneaky and count it in as part of my a choice!).

Syns - trying to save for G & slimline Ts at the weekend:rotfl:

Sooo many pages to catch up on so away for a read. Have a good day everyone x

Denise - I love BB it will be worth it in the end.

I don't know what to think, I was on the scales yesterday and up another 2 lbs and over my scary weight. The scales are usually the same as group too so I'm dreading tomorrow. Other than the Chinese and wine I have been good so getting annoyed as it just seems that I am just constantly gaining weight now.

Getting and bit fed up and demotivated now - but hey will plough on.

I have also stopped buying the prechopped fruit as really you easily spend a fortune on it.

I tend to buy satsumas, plums, kiwis, blueberries and strawberries when they are on offer and look decent!! I stopped buying Asdas strawberries a long time ago as they go off in half an hour! I buy the odd pineapple and melon from Lidl and usually have a grapefruit on the go.

My mission for from here to xmas is to stop the bananas and bread until xmas - both I've been letting creep back in and I genuinely do think they make me gain weight.

What an exciting little life I have lol a banana and bread ban til xmas!

I don't want to go to class tomorrow - I hate all the pressure - oh look she's putting on the weight again : ( makes me feel like I'm in the housing scoffing donuts or something and truthfully I'm not .......not really sure what is going on tbh

Lantanna, don't give up! What about taking one of those ready 7 day plans and following it meticulously for a week and see if it makes difference? It is very easy to miss something, and we don't always think through it all.

I know bread makes me gain weight. I had a couple time a few weeks with no bread For example, between Pancake day and easter when some people give up chocolate, i gave up bread - I lost 4kg (about 9lb, I think) in those 7 weeks without changing anything else. I am much less bloated and my stomach literally reduced in days without eating bread. I am not having very little bread, and what I have is whole meal, porridge oats or crispbreads. Ok, occational cake too, but much less that I did before restarting SW. I think I am going to allow myself to have one cake a week, and that is it. And the new favourite snack for me is raisin wheats (thanks to my 2.5 year old daughter showing to me to eat them dry!)

And I agree that bananas are 'heavy' food. Might try giving them up too!!!!! Especially as I just tried eating one and it was the most horrible banana I have ate in my life. My mouth is still suffering from it - it was dry and hard, although the peel was nice and yellow, so it is not the ripening issue.

  • All this talk of bread makes me think; I've been grabbing toast for breakfast (slicing a banana on top) for the past few days at work and this morning I did a naughty mid week weigh (someone please slap me on the back of the hand!) and so far the scales are showing a STS :/ not what I wanted with a busy weekend of not-so-SW friendly foods ahead!

Well I have had my toast this morning and used 2 slices from a large great white loaf so need to syn about 12g of it - I'll say 3(?) and had my banana and now on my cup of tea
lunch I have left over mash (free) and sausage casserole from last night; it's got the asda sausages which I think are 1.5 each so that's 3 syn there and then packed with swede, potatoes and carrots plus onion and then I'll call another 3 for the actual sauce.
Tea is a dolmio stir in pot (creamy carbonara) with added chicken and bacon (extra lean) with pasta and a big side salad. It's 13syn for the whole pot so that's another 6.5 syns there which puts me at 15.5 for the day...

*sigh* I do not feel like this week is going as well as last week :/
Tomorrow and Friday will be cereal (HeB) and milk (from HeA) for breakfast; Friday has now been changed from a carvery to a fish and chip buffet (but they do chicken wings etc too so I'll probably skip the chips and have fish (battered removed), mushy peas and chicken probably
Saturday and Sunday are hotel breakfasts so I will have cereal, fruit and mullerlight on Saturday and 'treat' myself to scrambled egg, baked beans and sausage (they don't serve bacon!) on sunday. Lunches at the tournament will be subway both days so I think I will be very strict with myself and have a chicken breast salad and a diet coke otherwise I'll feel sluggish and bleurgh! Saturday night has to be a take away at the hotel :/ and sunday hopefully I will cook at home!

    blah!

    Thanks for your thoughts

Yeah I haven't ate bananas the whole way through and the last few weeks Ive been having them and more bread. I am going to stop both of these. I'm better without bread at all. I will go back to the porridge oats etc. My potato consumption has gone up as well : ( Hateful that the things I enjoy most that aren't necessarily particularly bad foods seem to make me put on weight.

I will just see what it says tomorrow and then have a really well planned week and write everything down and see what happens.
  • Hoping to join in with you all-

I've fallen off the weight loss wagon big time since completing a moonwalk (powerwalk marathon) in June which meant I had a good few months of training where I could eat what I liked and kept the weight off.

I got down to 11st 6lbs this time last year after having my little boy in Feb 2013 and weighed in at 16st at full term so I think I did pretty well (he was 11lbs though lol!) I was able to maintain that until after my moonwalk in June this year, 2 amazing holidays didn't really help and I just kept eating in holiday mode without doing the training to burn it off!

I've just checked back to a previous post, weirdly from 6/11/2008 on a weight loss thread and I was 16st 4lbs then with no full term baby to blame then!

I'm back up to 12st 5lbs today and am determined never to get back near my heaviest ever again so am trying slimming world as it looks fairly easy to do and fit in with a busy life and looks lie, you still get to eat loads. I hate the difference in my face and tummy with this extra stone :(

Setting a target of 11st 5lbs by christmas and would love to achieve a target eventually of 10st 7lbs but I'm 5'9, nearly 5'10 so I know that may not be achievable. Determined to get back to some sort of exercise soon too- I do walk a fair bit so maybe just need to up this again.

Looks like a lot of you have had amazing results with SW and I'm sure lots of hard work xxx

Woo Hoo some great losses, Miss Slinkys and Milread off to a ball, and not forgetting our Jock, wonderful.

STS for me, very pleased and my 2nd week of not having to pay for group. I have stuck a £10 note on the kitchen door and will hopefully add £5 to this every week that I don't put on. I have told myself if I put on I will have to pay the money back if I don't its mine for a Christmas treat, so do I want that extra snack or do I want the money. we will have to see.
