Try this link Lush, some of the recipes are a bit American and will need tweaking to fit to SW, but there's loads on there..

Ooh thanks, I'll give that a peruse tomorrow:) Wanted to cook tea in it tomorrow but can't think of anything I can do without having done the forward planning of defrost something/prepping veg earlier today or without having bought something earlier when I went shopping

Spent more than I should have, oops, but well stocked and should last a while :)

Today has been a write off food wise thanks for a cream scone at the charity open evening which i couldn't refuse...though I did share a little with wonder bairn :)

Will do much much better tomorrow :)

    Can anyone recommend nice sausages?
I don't mind spending a syn or two for really nice ones. Are the ww ones nice?
Those heck chicken ones are low, but I can't imagine chicken sausages!

I've never tried ww but like the Sainsbury's Be Good to Yourself Cumberland Pork sausages. They're £2 a pack of 8 and 1 syn each.

I'll probably be having these tomorrow as BIL and SIL will be calling in around lunchtime and sausage and mash is all I can think of in a hurry.

Well done losers; chi up gainers & STSs. Mildredd, that is amazing – you are a star!

Lantanna, losing your bracelet was far, far worse than me losing the cash. The bracelet can never be replaced. I can cut back to compensate for loss of money, but there is nothing you can do.

Good luck re job application, lush.

Hope you feel better soon, minihauk.

Pleased to meet you, blinkered and boredjellybean.

    Monday's Menu was
Breakfast: huge bowl of fruit (strawberries, blueberries, brambles, grapes & kiwi) with ff nat yogurt
Lunch (out with friend): minestrone soup, steak & hexa blue cheese sandwich on flatbread, with salad & a very little coleslaw - so hoping it wasn't too bad
Dinner: leftover chicken thing I found in the freezer; don't know what it was, but it was very tasty; may even have been SW recipe - with peppers, spring onion, cucumber and tomato, banana
Snack: wee lemon & slime cake

    Tuesday's Plan
Breakfast: French hexb toast with fruit & maple syrup (1 syn)
Lunch: AH Spice Sensation couscous (2syns) topped with Total 0% Greek yogurt and pomegranate seeds, with a cucumber and tomato salad.
Dinner: at carvery (family night and we are going to a fireworks display)

That's all for now folks. Good luck for tomorrow.

  • Feeling dumb. Just hit me that WI means weigh in, not women's institute. I thought some of the weight gains were because of trying everybody's homemade jam and cakes at WI meetings :rotfl:

    Welcome to the new friends!

Well done top all the losers and chin up to those who gained - halloween is over, and sweets are all gone!

I am still feeling down and tired. Went to bed at 8.30pm last night and was gone in minutes. Still tired this morning....

Usually every morning (well, I only work 3 days a week) I take a lift at work from our undeground garage to the second floor where my office is. Decided to make a small step towards moving more, and took stairs up this morning. It is only a small thing, but I need to move a bit more...

    Today's menu
B:Porridge (HexA) with milk (HexB), rest of milk in the coffee through the day
L: carrot soup (OH made, have no idea what he put in it, and it is quite little of it), and have some more of the quark bake (so counting another 3 syns, plus 2 for the yogurt)
D: Don't know, will see what OH makes. There is lots of left over pasta from yesterday, but I might end up having miso soup with mushrooms like last night and a bowl of salad.

And for the WI - I would like to report 2.5lb loss!!!
    Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb

Halloween seems to have a lot to answer for! Where I live we don't tend to get T or Ts so I didn't buy any sweeties for them so no temptations here.

I did have some popcorn last night (air popped) but I made far too much - I've got 2 plastic boxes full left - even after DH and I eating 25g each last night!!! Haven't weighed it but suspect there is enough for both of us for another couple of nights - won't be making quite so much in future, LOL!

    Having a Green day today:

B - scrambled eggs on toast
L - veg curry & rice (LOs from taster at group a few weeks ago)
    D - fish pasta bake

    HEA1 - milk
    HEA2 - milk
    HEB1 - bread
    HEB2 - reduced fat cheese

Syns: mixed fish 6.5; cornflour 1; popcorn 4.5; may also have a fruit split 3.

    Denise
