Syns are supposed to be eaten as part of the diet, personally I try and avoid using them solely as sweet treats and try to build in some healthy ones, so today I'm having four ryvita crackers with my HEA dairylea triangles which is 4 syns. I also try and spread them out over the course of the day as I was getting to after my tea and using 1 syn all day and eating a Mars Bar.
Back of my holidays in Scotland, kept to plan 5 out of the 7 days, ate some cake and a few chips one day (but got back on plan at night) and just collapsed one day and didn't see the point and ate a load of bread, chocs, etc.
Went on the scales and still seem to have lost a few pounds, I'd guess the 21 mile walk helped.
I'm a serial weigher, I weigh myself each morning, at points during the day and a lot in the evening, I really don't see the harm as generally I know my weight and my body, so I know if I weigh myself at night, I lose two pounds overnight, etc.0 -
Evening all...
Well done to all you exercisers :j not for me i'm afraid, i'm very hit and miss with exercise
Here are my meals for the day - on a green day so not really many SF's with tea but had a banana and Satsuma extra through the day..
The updated new chart is here :j:j we've already lost a stone and a half!!
A bit confused, is this the final chart for the week or are there more results to comes to come, asking because if its the final one
then Shala is SOTW and deserves some great fat congratulations.Slimming World at target0 -
So the weekend was near enough a write off as expected with syn laden meals both Saturday and Sunday night however I am straight back on it today
need recipes for my new slow cooker; can any of you lovelies point me in the direction of any online resources?
Also need some tilapia recipes as bf has ordered a bunch in with the musclefoods order of meat we have placed!
off to tescos soon as bf tells me whether or not to expect the two deliveries he is waiting for this morning or afternoon; need a little meat and a bunch of fruit and milk as bf is going through loads everyday as he has a milkshake with added supplements at work now.
Also off to an open evening tonight at a local childrens hospice/charity which is interested in working with my rugby team and where I have (slightly secretly) applied for a job!
Todays menu:
breakfast: 3 egg omelette with 1/2 HeA cheese, smoked ham, mushroom and cherry tomato
lunch: the last of the dahl from coworker. will call that 5 syn
tea: will have an early tea of beans on HeB toast
I have realised I am not always managing to get my healthy extras in each day; Bs aren't too bad as on work days I use them for breakfast but days off I have to try and remember them. As I tend to only get half/three quarters in between cereal and cups of tea if i'm having that for breakfast/at work. Otherwise I'm prone to forgettingmust try harder!
Keeping syns around 5-10 this week after the weekend meals and ahead of next weekends meals! will be good once this league weekend is out of the way and I can focus on blitzing the weightloss for a few weeks!************************************

Shala - I am sorry, have been unwell for the last couple of weeks with a terrible cough, so no SW for me. Can you please take me off the challenge and I'll resume in the new year. My ribs are so sore I can't even think about what I'm eating and I'm sucking cough sweets like they are going out of fashion! I'll still read along and will be giving virtual encouragement to all.
Haven't managed to catch up on the thread, but will do as soon as I can.0 -
How frustrating wiz. I don't know what to suggest other than perhaps a review of medication if that's possible. Please try to have some syns. We have someone at my group who rarely has any but I think her losses are more about eating less than properly following the plan.
That cough seems to have hung around minihauk. What does GP say?
Sorry to her about your bracelet lantanna. It's worse when it's something sentimental. Hope you enjoyed the curry though.:)
My EE plan for today:
B: NAS Ribena, scrambled eggs, HEB toast
L: fried veg with somethingSW chilli with rice
Syns: scrape of spread
This week is likely to go pear shaped as I'm out tomorrow evening and again on Wednesday lunchtime. So potential for off plan food and drink. It's essential that I'm positively angelic on all of the days I'm in control.0 -
I'm boring with my healthy extras, I almost always have either All Bran or Bran Flakes with some yoghurt for breakfast and use the dairy one as either Cheese (with a meal) or as Dairylea light triangles. If I'm having pasta I save the cheese, if not its some Dairylea!0

MIL has given me a massive savoy cabbage. Anyone know any recipes to use it up? Otherwise it will have to be side veg for about a fortnight :rotfl::heartpuls Daughter born January 2012 :heartpuls Son born February 2014 :heartpuls

Well done on sticking to plan for most of your holiday; and plenty of BM too!
Which Ryvita are you eating at 1 syn each - the lowest synned ones afaik are the Original and Dark Rye and they are 1.5 each; most of the flavoured ones are 2 syns each?

I was just thinking about what I eat and when I eat bread I seem to be using 2 slices of great white I think it should be one because it's a large loaf. So I suppose the number of times I have done that, it will have contributed to sts or gaining.
Also has any one got a stomach that feels and looks like your pregnant. Well, it would be a miracle if I was pregnant ( at 74 ) but I have got that tummy that looks like I'm at least six months. HELP!0 -
Feeling sory for myself today... No particular reason, just probably starting to realise our situation more - OH unemployed, and I am not getting much to do at work, I sit idle for weeks, and this is the last moth of probation.
We bought balance bikes fpr the kids on Saturday and went for a ride on Sunday - they loved them, we got home at 3pm, kids slept till after 5pm, but I was so tired, I just sat on the sofa all afternoon! I went to bed at 9:30pm, fell asleep straight away, but didn't have a good nights sleep at all. Feeling very tired today...
Need to get some shopping done - there is "Christmas in the shoebox" collection at nursery this week nad I need to pack the gifts. I have a toy to put in each, and a soft toy, but need to get some sweets, maybe toothbrushes, toothpaste, some other hygiene stuff. And then have a marathon of wrapping up the stuf, as I need to make two boxes...
Menu today:
B: Porridge HexA with milk HexB, rest of milk in the coffee during the day
L: Quark bake (I would say 3 syns for semolina used plus maybe a couple for the yogurt, as by mistake we bought 10% fat yogurt...) served with fat free yogurtmaybe just a salad....
Snacks: raisin wheats (HexB No.2), banana, apple, satsumasSpring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0
