I always try and turn a menu into Green/Red if I'm low on SFs. When I said too many HEBs for Green I meant breadcrumbs, bacon and chicken. I didn't see any Alpen Light bars but you're right 2 count as a HEB.Saver-upper wrote: »Well, today has been ok.Started really well.Just had a little wobble this afternoon, but back on track now, hopefully.
Before breakfast:a peach
Breakfast:bacon,scrambled eggs,beans
Lunch:Batchelors curry rice,handful grapes,some raw carrot
Snack:2 Tunnocks tea cakes (5.5syns each, oops),followed by 1 fruit and yoghurt bar from ALDI (3.5syns)
Tea:chicken nuggets http://www.nigella.com/recipes/view/kids-fave-chicken-breast-nuggets-760
Instead of frying mine I spray with frylight then bake. They were served with fried tinned potatos (cos I had spent so long faffing around so much looking for an interesting way to serve potatos with the meal.By the time I'd found a couple of ideas, the chicken was cooked),peas and corn.
Feeling rather frumpy tonight.Boooooooo!0 -

L - Vegetable and tomato sauce with tagliatelle (left over from last night, but without the meatballs - happily the sauce is packed with veg)
D - Poached salmon fillets with salad and new potatoes.
Snacks - Yoghurt and an orange.
Drinks - The usual.0 -

Morning
Another Groundhog Day menu today, so won't bore you with the details
I'm still feeling a bit meh this morning. It feels like I haven't eaten enough yesterday, so feel a bit weak & headachey againI've felt like this a few times since starting SW.
I've been eating Green every day for 2 & a half weeks, with only a tiny bit of synned chicken on one of those days. I really do feel like I'm eating enough as I feel full after meals & if I'm peckish between meals I have some fruit.
Typical day is HEB cereal with fruit and Greek yoghurt or unsweetened almond milk. Lunch is generally a jacket potato with cottage cheese & salad or 2/3 loaded potato skins (depending on size) with salad or beans & HEA cheese on HEB toast. Dinner tends to be HM pasta sauce (carrot, mushrooms, onion, garlic, celery, passata) with 100g pasta, wholemeal HEB pitta & salad or the pasta sauce base with added chilli & beans to make a chilli which I have with 50g basmati rice, salad & wholemeal HEB pitta.
These meals fill me up, in fact I'm thinking of reducing the pasta to 75g because I struggle to finish it sometimes.
Sorry for the whingey whiney post, I just feel like I must be doing something wrong if I'm feeling rough on a morning. I lost 6lbs the first week & 2lbs the next.
Any advice from anyone??'A watched potato will never chit'...0 -
Morning losers
poppy - not sure why you're feeling meh, could be lack of protein, could be your body reacting to less sugar.. are you hydrated enough? that may explain the headaches if you're not.
If you're eating the same thing everyday it may be that you're not getting the right vits and minerals.. a multivitamin might help or try mixing up your menu's a bit..
mupelle - good loss :T
Well we had pasta bake for tea last night instead of chicken chow mein.. i ended up leaving some of it because i felt really full, this is a first for me - usually i still stuff it in!!
So green day today as i still have chow mein to eat and now leftover pasta bake :rotfl:
B - banana, yogurt, muesli (3)
L - leftover pasta bake (hea and b)
T - chicken chow mein (heb)
S - crisps(4) milk (hea)

Morning all
Hope everyone is happily on the wagon...
Glad your daughter is okay mumoftwo, and hugs greentiger I hope they sort you out soon and not surprised you hit the chocolate after being messed about with!
Welcome furball, I hope your first class is good. Mine are usually an hour and a half, half at the beginning for WI then about an hour chatting. As the others have said you don't need to be there right at the start except tonight, otherwise you just join a massive queue for WI!
Congrats on your loss Shala and anyone else I've missed. Will be interesting to see how the chart is stacking up as we go along.
Glad you are feeling better TIE.1 lb lost wahoooo I think...

Well done on your loss :T I'd recommend some batch cooking - it means you will have some stuff in the freezer to do a quick meal when you're busy of an evening. I've usually got veg filled pasta sauces in mine, I think currently we have some chilli as well.
Pink poppy - I think Shala has covered everything I could think of. I did find I was a bit meh and headachey to start, and solved it the first few days with a little bit of vimto so in my case I think it was lack of sugar because I was drinking loads.
Today's menu is going to be pretty much what I post every day, up until dinner which does vary! Going to have a go at making the homity pie because it sounded lovely and it's always nice to have something a bit different. Will do some veg on the side.
Syns wise, I got some of the salted caramel hi-fi bars so one of those, probably some butter, vimto as well. That will be about 12.:heartpuls Daughter born January 2012 :heartpuls Son born February 2014 :heartpuls

Morning.
I made the brownies yesterday but none of us liked them as the sweetener taste was too strong. There are however, 9 more and I don't like waste so I'm going to have another one after tea.
I am going to the dentist this morning for a crown prep so I don't know if I will eat all I'm planning.
HE a skim milk
HE b hifi salted caramel bar.
B hifi and figs
L savory rice, banana, mullerlight
D LO bacon and courgette pasta, 1 syn brownie
BM walk to school
I have bought some of the new mullerlight after dinner mint flavour. Does anyone know their syn value please. Hoping they are free like the other sprinkles varieties.
Hope you all have a great day.0 -
Thank you shala & Crabapple for the replies, they are very much appreciated :A
I feel a bit  & a bitfor not realising it's what I'm eating (or more what I'm not eating) that's making me feel meh. Yes, I feel full after meals, but I definitely haven't been getting the right balance of food, particularly protein. It just took some sensible people to point it out to me!!
:rotfl:
I'm going to shake up my menus, maybe have a couple of EE days a week & drink more water!! I might get myself some multivitamins as well, that's a good idea, thanks.'A watched potato will never chit'...0
