Hi all. Not a good day.

    planned breakfast - yep
Early hospital appointment (gynae). Found polyps again (had some removed 7 years ago, so they spent half hour trying to remove the blighters but they wouldn't cooperate. Appt made for general anesthetic removal, but in the meantime they'll try again to do them as an outpatient in a fortnight. And then they provided me with tea - and 2 fruit and lemon biscuits - in the recovery room.

So those biscuits started me off on my "not good" day and set my SW plans to pot - my weak will again. There's a farm shop at the hospital and I came home with a rhubarb tart - and ate it after my planned lunch. I was still a wee bit uncomfortable and feeling sorry for myself, silly !!!! - I'm fine.

    Moan over, sorry for TMI.

Never done SW before but thinking of joining tomorrow. Counted calories this January and lost a stone and a half. Put half back on and think SW is the way to go. Got the voucher from woman magazine for free membership and have borrowed the SW books and the recipes look lovely.
OH is happy to eat whatever I make as he says he could do with losing weight but he doesn't want to do classes.
Can I use homemade yogurt instead of muller? Has anyone any idea how many sins in home made yogurt with skimmed milk. Looking to lose a stone this Autumn but will update tomorrow. My scales are useless.
One last question. How long do classes last. Thankyou

Can't answer the yoghurt question, but I think the class I went to (couple of years ago) was on for an hour.

    Welcome :)
I'm sorry, I can't help with the yoghurt... I use Fat Free natural yoghurt.

    Our class starts at 7.
    7.00-7.30: weigh in/new member talk
    7.30-8.30: IMAGE therapy.

    I usually go at 7.15ish

My class is advertised as 9.30 but image therapy is 10-11. I go about 9.50. Hope that helps.

Thanks for asking about my DD (she's nearly grown up),
I've done my 2 page letter to the DWP with 8 pages of copies of various things. Glad that's it done, no doubt they'll want even more.

Not thinking about that just now.

Sausages cooking, smelling great (4 syns)

Got my mini ryvitas ready with tuna mayo to munch on while watching Bake off, or if I'm not too knackered, might go for a swim

Greentiger, that sounds very painful hen, no wonder you feel sorry for yourself, I feel sorry for you. Now stop munching!

Not sure how you would syn homemade yoghurt, would it not just be the milk? You don't add anything else?

Tonight's tea will be sausages (Tesco low fat)
Not sure if I want mash or not, might make this a red day, I'll decide later

I don't think sausages count as meat on a Red day. They'd have to be synned. I looked at HEXs on line but no meat was listed, but I'm sure meat (but not meat products) does count as a HEB.

Pleased with that, that's a lot of veg in a day for me, tummy holding up so far and not screaming at me - all good :D

That's brilliant. Its really hard when veg causes you problems. But so worth persevering!:)

Depending on the number attending your group there can be a lot of hanging around while everyone gets weighed. then the Image Therapy starts. Although I find that if you need to leave then people just get up and go. Weigh and Go is quite common too.

I don't really know about the yogurt but some people use 25 cal for 1 syn as a guide. How did you count it when you were calorie counting?

I was out at lunchtime so instead of the casserole planned at home I had a Tuna Nicoise salad from Pret a Manger. Free except for the drizzle of vinaigrette I put on the leaves.

Wizkid in order for the quote to go green it needs to say this at the end [ / QUOTE ] (no spaces).

If you delete some, because you only want to quote a certain bit you are perhaps deleting the quote tag? If you delete it, just write it back in, as above but no spaces....

    Does that make sense? :rotfl:

Yes I think it does let's see. :). Yippee ! Got it right !
