Right, campfire stew is in the slowcooker, but I can't keep thinking there could be more veg in there.... Has anyone added extra veg? Maybe carrots? Not sure what else!

You could have some broccoli, cauli, or cabbage on the side?

If it's the recipe I'm thinking of then I'd have onions, carrots and peppers in there. It could probably cope with mushrooms as well. Then I'd serve it with something like green beans. Must keep the SFs up.;)

I'd welcome the recipe for lamb tagine denise.:)

Like lantanna was saying yesterday, it's easy to get stuck in a rut and I'd like to try out some new dishes.

Pleased to report that the weather is glorious here: bright, mild and sunny. I'm just waiting for WM then off out for a walk to enjoy it as I think it's the last nice day.

    Today's EE menu:
B: NAS Ribena, HEB toast, 2 fried eggs, HEA milk for teas
L: JP with cottage cheese & beetroot (may change if I'm out)
D: liver & onions, mash, carrots, cabbage, peas
Syns: gravy, squirt of HP sauce

Well done GINVZT, I didn't think I could run 20 but did it last week, not sure what to do when I complete it, I suppose getting my speed up would be good, I'm not too slow but not at all fast IYGWIM

When I tried to follow C25K few years back, there was a thread on MSE for support and the graduates offten took up 5 to 10K program afterwards...

i think the recipe was posted Annie few days ago, but there were no carrots in the list. Right, I am going to put some in. And maybe mushrooms too if there are any in the fridge!

Right yesterday was not the best but line drawn and a new day. Got home yesterday and after a short rest and time with bf I planned for today; bf id having left over chinese for tea tonight but think I will get round to sorting the beef and ale stew and have some of that (low syn and will serve with tons of extra veg for me) can anyone tell me the syns in dumplings made with beef suet (atora - sp?)

Today I have come to work prepared; I don't think I am drinking enough or having enough super frees really :/

Breakfast: 125ml semi skimmed milk, HeB shreddies, banana. Cup of tea with a splash more milk from HeA
Elevensies: about to have an apple and another cup of tea
Lunch: left over cabbage, swede and carrot with some lean roast pork (all visible fat was removed and binned) plus 1tbsp gravy - lets call it 3/4 syn. Green grapes, easy peeler
Tea: planning on having some of my casserole and a dumpling if syns allow :)

Other drinks: NAS asda squash, water

Definitely taking my full lunch hour today and will walk up the hill in to town and pay to weigh in at Boots. I haven't weighed myself yet (petrified) so will use todays weight as my start weight for the slinky for Santa challenge though (sorry tmi...) I'm a big constipated atm, think its all the worry with thinking things at work may not be as stable/rosy as before :/

Maman; what are the syns in the braised red cabbage if using sweetener and the same weight in eating apples? do you need more earing apples? are syns the same if using cooking apples? sorry for all the questions!

So, put some carrots in, went to get mushrooms and found an aubergine in the corner of the fridge, so it went in instead if the mushrooms and now my slowcooker is trully full! Hope it all tastes good, as OH was a bit disappou!nted when I told him i am making campfire stew he never heard of before instead of pea and ham soup!

Maybe I could treat him to those super chips we all got recipe yesterday!

Blueeyedgirl - Congratulations !!!!! Bet you feel fab, you deserved that treat meal! How much more would you like to lose?

I often walk past the breads in lidl and think they would be lovely! Generally all of the rolls and scones are calling out my name but I pretend I don't hear them:eek: Mind you so do the crisps and the choc!

I've become a real lidl shopper recently - anything apart from the meat because I get that from the butchers usually! Trying to spend less! Cost of living is getting worse without doubt:eek:

Thanks lantanna for your kind words. Yes I feel tons better but still a long long way to go. Daren't even think about it too much . Just accepting each shiney as it comes along. ;) Getting into 22s now and the odd 20.

We are loving lidl more and more each week. :D

Can I ask what type of stuff can you use the chocshots for mumoftwo? Might have to look out for them - the fact they contain that magic word 'choc' and they become a necessary purchase. :rotfl:

Welcome to our merry little gang LordDuke.

Does anyone know anything about this Miss Slinky competition? Apparently I have been nominated  In my mind 16.5 stone and 'slinky' don't normally go together iykwim :rotfl: :rotfl:

Lunch today is Pasta n Sauce with loads of extra sf probably followed by fruit of some kind.

Welcome lordduke, and big congrats to b_e_g :j Every shiny is hard won but a nice feeling, and it does break everything down into much nicer chunks!

I don't know about Miss Slinky - we only just had woman of the year, are there loads more of these competitions?!

WI tonight. Really not sure how I've done this week except that I don't feel like I've been good enough for a nice loss. Even though I home weigh (a lot) I still can't always get a handle on these things, I just know that the scales at group always weigh me a bit lighter :D

Annie, I was reading your posts jealous that you get time to sew. It's not good BM but is lovely and relaxing and I used to do loads before the children came along. Can't take my eyes off my toddler for long enough to follow a pattern now!
