I can’t cook a decent fried egg to save my life – even when I used to use oil I wrecked it. I got one of those ceracraft pans - a cheapo version and it worked for a while. I would say the real deal would cook a great fried egg if you are willing to investigate in a new pan. I’ll have to wait and see what Santa brings lol Oh I see Blue eyed Girl can confirm!!

We have two Ceracraft frying pans (big and smaller one) bought from Morries at half price - think it was between Christmas and New Year last year. Then a couple of weeks ago I picked up a saucepan 20cm from HB for £5.99. It's just a case of being in the right place at the right time. There could be offers around in time for Christmas.

If you do buy a ceramic pan, please don't use Frylight in it, they're too expensive to spoil but Frylight will spoil it quite quickly - my friend has said she'll never use it again after it did for her new pans :(

Thanks for the heads up consultant. I am pretty sure DH gives a quick little spray of frylight but will be giving him the heads up to watch out. Have been using frylight this since the beginning of the year and haven't noticed a problem but it might be worth watching out.

2lb loss this week. Knew I'd make up for last week. Woop!

Well done on your losses wishus and wiz :T

Got wi tonight and not expecting any earth shattering loss but at the end of the day a loss is a loss (so they say) ;)

Got tilers and joiner in today so making many cuppas and plates of biscuits. Looked longingly at a custard cream this morning and thought that it was ages since I'd had one but I managed to pass on it (for now :p). With all that is going on here, housework is a waste of time as everywhere is covered in bloomin dust. Have been really immobile all last week and it looks as though this week is going to be the same for a good part of it.

Right - off to read a few more posts.:D

Well done on the losses wiz and wishus.:T
Lantanna, like denise said she and I have maintained in broadly similar ways. When I was getting to target I ate almost syn free all the week and saved syns for weekends. the only syns I really have midweek is for a bit of gravy or some cornflour in sauces.
I still do much the same except that I eat out quite a lot too. Before getting to target I'd make sensible choices like steak and salad but now I have off plan meals and drinks. The official way, to maintain I believe, is to have extra HEXs but I'd prefer more syns.;) I don't go to group every week, especially when I know I've been overdoing it. I wait until I've reined it back a bit and then just go to confirm I'm still in range.
Like you, I faffed about getting the last few pounds off but I just plodded on and got there eventually. My losses averaged about 1.5lbs a week but that includes some good losses which were generally after the gains from holidays. I don't do any exercise except one dance class a week but I'm fortunate to be quite fit so I don't have the mobility, intolerances and medication issues that some have.
I think lots of people get into a boring menu rut whether they're doing SW or not. I felt like that a week or so back but I think it was because I was limiting myself to the meat I had in the freezer so couldn't vary it without shopping for more ingredients. I'll definitely be trying those cheesy chips, maybe with a burger at the weekend.
My EE menu today:
B: NAS Ribena, baked beans, HEB toast, HEA milk for teas
L: ham, pickled onions, fried veg
D: Szechuan beef (inc. peppers, mushrooms, spring onions, beansprouts) with noodles
Syns: tsp of cornflour and a couple in the (Aldi straight to wok) noodles

I've cut and pasted this as computer's playing up running really slow and I didn't want it swallowed like mildredd had.

Just popping to to say you are still all inspiring - although i still haven't re-started!

Has anyone got any tips for meals that an inexperienced cook (my husband) can do easily that is SW friendly? (he struggles with cooking fish fingers & chips!)

Keep up the good work everyone

P.S. I have given Frogga a poke & hope she will bounce back on here to say hello x

I'm not sure how I will fair on the scales tomorrow. I've not really stuck to plan. My own fault.

I'm a bit miffed as my laptop has cooling fan issues so doesn't always switch on. Its only 15 months old. :(

I've started meal planning with my new calendar. I feel its going to help me :)

Good luck for tomorrow FE. I am a great believer that planning plays a big part in SW Success - sometimes I should listen to my own advice ;) I presume the warranty will have expired on your laptop - how bloomin frustrating.
