Welcome lordduke, and big congrats to b_e_g :j Every shiny is hard won but a nice feeling, and it does break everything down into much nicer chunks!
I don't know about Miss Slinky - we only just had woman of the year, are there loads more of these competitions?!
WI tonight. Really not sure how I've done this week except that I don't feel like I've been good enough for a nice loss. Even though I home weigh (a lot) I still can't always get a handle on these things, I just know that the scales at group always weigh me a bit lighter
Annie, I was reading your posts jealous that you get time to sew. It's not good BM but is lovely and relaxing and I used to do loads before the children came along. Can't take my eyes off my toddler for long enough to follow a pattern now!
I'm only finding time during the day because it's half term and I'm a teacher lol
Back to snatching the odd 30 minutes in the evening after this week0 -
Maman - lamb tagine recipe as requested
Denise
Thanks denise. I've got all those spices in stock and honey but I don't normally keep apricots or almonds in. I'll have to give that some thought.
Shame about the grabbed lunch but it happens.:(
We had a lovely walk this morning and ended up sitting in the sun having coffee. DH also had a piece of treacle tart!! Saintly me;) just had an amaretti biscuit about the size of a 10p piece that came alongside the drinks and had a late lunch when I got home. I did notice they did JPs there though so I'll add them to my list of places where I can eat SW friendly.
lush, a basic dumpling is 6.5syns according to the website. FYI 30g dumplings made with Co-op dumpling mix are 3.5 syns each. The Birds Eye pasta doesn't seem to be there, maybe it's a new line.
I ignore the minimal syns in the braised red cabbage. I made 12 portions out of the recipe and the only syns were in 3 apples because they're cooked and a blob of spread on top. Cooking apples would be slightly less but divided by 12 it's hardly worth bothering about.
Good luck with your new target and :T for braving the scales.0 -

Getting into 22s now and the odd 20.
We are loving lidl more and more each week.
Can I ask what type of stuff can you use the chocshots for mumoftwo? Might have to look out for them - the fact they contain that magic word 'choc' and they become a necessary purchase. :rotfl:
b_e_g
I only just bought it so learning myself. I have looked on instagram #chocshot and it's drizzled over plain yogurt, over bananas and other fruit or stirred into hot milk for hot chocolate, or for porridge, crumpets, pancakes, that sort of thing, it tastes good0 -
Maman - I always keep the semi dried apricots in stock as they can be used as HEB.
Suppose you could just add the honey and some sweetner instead?

Thanks for that. According to mysupermarket they do apricots in Aldi and as my DH likes them they'd be worth getting in. He can always chop them onto his muesli if they need using up.0 -
On phone so difficult to quote everyone..
Think Mr Sleek is new as lots of complaints that Miss Slinky excluded the guys.. I won Miss S last year in my group and certainly don't have the biggest loss there.. Is as latanna says above, good luck b_e_g ..
I use the chocshot drizzled on yoghurt and fruit, you don't need much as it's quite strong.. It's 1/2 syn for level tsp and 2 syns for level tbsp
Love ras el hanout in a tagine, had it in my Moroccan stew last night.. Very tasty!0 -
Mitch, what is ras el hanout? I have never made a tagine but am thinking about it for supper at the weekend.
Have also been on Hairy Bikers website, they have some good recipes and ideas and are easy to adapt IMO.0 -
Not been able to get on here again today
Thanks Mich - i'll have a look later at her photos.. love a bit of food p0rn :rotfl: i'll watch out the offer on chocshot too £3.50 is a bit steep
Swiper - we're on week one on the Slinky santa challenge - i'll pop your 0.5lb loss on the other challenge as it was last Saturday..
Lordduke - added you to the challenge :j
Lush - can't find the syns for that pasta stuff sorry..but the Atora Original Shredded Beef Suet 200g pack, 25g = 10 syns :eek:Change of plan going to make cowboy hotpot tonight - quick and easy and will be waiting for me after I get back from step in the oven! Yum
Are you lot making the names of food up.. seriously!! :rotfl: What's cowboy hotpot???? campfire stew, now blooming cowboy hotpot!!!Mortgage amount at 31/12/2011 £166,050 now £0 as at Sept 21 - 15yrs 4 months early.0 -

Ras el hanout is a mix of spices in one bag, handy if you don't have all in to add individually.. Got mine in Asda, greenfields ras al hanout on label.0
