    Hi everyone

Well the gain at class tonight was eye wateringly embarrassing :(:( so the final line has been drawn. I've bought the twelve week countdown to help keep me focused. Back on it, that's all I'm saying.

Shala, I'll join the slinky for Santa challenge if I may. Want to lose at least 8lbs....

Have also been on Hairy Bikers website, they have some good recipes and ideas and are easy to adapt IMO.

I really like this HB recipe
    http://www.bbc.co.uk/food/recipes/braised_steak_with_gravy_24508
substituting Frylight for the oil makes it virtually syn free. I bought 2 for £5 sirloins from Farmfoods, preferred that to using braising steak.

wiz, NAS jelly crystals from Asda are 2 syns for a sachet. not sure if it's the right one.

Get you making a coat ginvzt. That's ambitious, hope it works out well.

Hope the lurkers come out of hiding soon too mildredd. Well done on the size 12s.:T

Hi all. I’ve been MIA as it’s been (happily) hectic here this last wee while.

There’s a LOT to read so I don’t know if I’ll manage to comment on everything that’s happening – I’d get rsi, I think!

Pleased to meet all the newbies.

Love the new sofa, but it’ll be a while before I get to try it out :( It'll be all jiggled out by then too, no doubt.

    Is cannibalism allowed? ;)

Don’t think my wedding dress would go on one leg now! I was 7sts 3lbs then! I blame my DH for the current state of affairs.

I fry my eggs in frylight. I don’t have a lid for my frying pan so, when bottom is done, I put them in them in the oven (lowest setting) while I cook bacon, tomatoes etc. Lovely runny yolks, mmm.

    Here's the plan for Wednesday.

    Breakfast: tomato & herb omelette
Lunch: out with friend - her choice of venue
Dinner: Chinese style stir fry with chicken

For what I know I'm having, that's 0 syns for the day, and no hexa or hexb, so it should allow me to have a lunch that's not too catastrophic.

Good luck everyone. see you here tomorrow.

    I'm here! :hello:
Sorry I've been quiet- it's because I have mainly been falling off the wagon :o after going to an area of my target range I don't really like being (1lb over!) I had to take drastic measures. Started off so well then got the result of my first module and first assignment of my new module on the same day. Distinctions (firsts) for both!! That sent me slightly gaga and I consumed wine, chips and bread rolls :o
So I did something very naughty and not recommended and went syn free for two days :o but hey it worked! 2lb off on the scales. Happy me! I'm syn free again today (Weds) and was yesterday (Tuesday) as I fell off the wagon on Monday after group :o
I'm away the week after next in Penzance for the rugby with my mate. I'm trying to be as good as possible until then as I know resistance of the local cream teas, pasties and grog :D will be futile and I'll come back with a stonking gain. But after a truly horrific experience on Sunday when OH and I went to Red Hot Buffet World for our anniversary meal and I sat picking at a plate of plain bland salad leaves while I watched him demolish a deliciously creamy looking korma and a couple of butter naans I have vowed never to do that again because life is too short to pick at salad!!
My naughty syn-free menu for Tuesday:
B: HEXB Alpen Light bars x 2, bottle of Buxton Sparkling
L: Big jacket potato, beans, tuna, 1/2 HEXA laughing cow blue cheese, salad, 2 easy peelers (satsumas) pint of NAS cordial
T: fresh plain salmon fillets, steamed sprouts, carrots and broccoli, steamed new potatoes. Fresh mango and Activia 0%. Pint of NAS cordial.
S: 3 x Linda McCartney sausages (red onion and Rosemary)tinned tomatoes with garlic. Pint of NAS cordial, cup of tea with remainder of HEXA.
I've had plenty to eat and don't feel hungry- don't miss my Syns at all!! It's hard finding variety but I've become a bit ingenious about it ;) however I must stress I will not be doing it on a regular basis I just need a kick up the proverbial at the moment and it's about the only way I can do it right now.
    Hope everyone's ok xx

I would love to get to size 12 too.... I can't believe how I let myself go!!! I used to be the "90-60-90" (36"-24"-36"), then I met OH, and so may years later I am in size 18/20, and better not mention the measurements at this our for they may scare ecveryone for the rest of the day, hate the look of myself and it took me two years of avoiding camera (that means there are very few picture of my with my babies) to get working on it.

Lets keep working, we can all get there!!!!! I have a long term goal to get to 11st by my next irthday at the end of October next year. Lets see if I can do it this time - I have a lovely dress I wore the first year I met my OH and we went to friends wedding and I would love to be able to put it on again... That is 3st 7lb to go....

It is in the plans for over a year, I didn't have enough corouge to take on the project. Bought some fabric last year in a craft market, it was cheaper as it is left over, so I have it in three chunks - still it is a lovely wooly/tweedy fabric, that cost me way less than 30euros a meter similar in the shop, so if I make a mess out of it, it is down to experience!

    So, menu today:

B: Quark/yogurt with granuklated sweetener, raspberries and blueberries. Drizzle of honey as it was very sour quark this time! (1 syn?)

    L: Salad

    D: Campfire stew left overs

Snacks: apple, kiwi, banana, 14 raisin wheats (HexB). HexA will be milk in a coffee at some point in the day.

Sorry I have been missing in action again, super busy due to work and doing some DIY at home. Well done some great losses.

weight in for me today and its * week and I have put on 1.5lb.

So frustrated, still have 4 stone to lose and last few weeks I am just not getting any where.

Tried having a different HEB every day last week as its not helped.
Also had a couple of green days this week to see what happened.

Going to make a huge vat of speed soup and then a mushy pea curry tonight. And have the soup every day for a week for my dinner.

If I have enough in the cupboard I might do the evil scan bran challenge to!

Finally had a go at the chocolate brownie recipe last night. Yummy! But I did end up eating half of it, 5.5 syns though so its all okay.
