Right, tomorrow is going to be a bit off plan, as we are going out for dinner with colleagues (someone is leaving), but promise to try and choose wisely!

I am considering making a batch of superspeed soup - can anyone share some amazing results to inspire me?...

  • Well, looks like DH may be out of work soon. So I had to make the decision not to go to SW group. I seriously can't justify the cost when things are the way they are. Because of this news, i'm comfort eating. Will go to chemist tomorrow and pay 20p to get weighed, and do it like that every Thursday. If I do that can I still join in here? I really need the support and motivation more than ever now. I just don't know where to turn.

CP - Sorry to hear your DH will be out of a job soon. Of course you can still join in here. You don't have to go to group to post. It's open to anyone who is following SW - whether at group or on your own.

Good idea to stick to a WI on a specific day and on specific scales so you'll still be having a weekly WI.

Good luck with going it alone.

CP - course you can still join us here. Sorry to hear your news.. give yourself a bit of time to process then get back on track!

Added the link to the campfire stew, cheesy chilli fires and lamb tagine onto the first post :D

My meals today - also had a bit of muesli on my breakfast, a quality street (2.5) and some nuts on my couscous (3)

Shala - the smell of chip shop chips is by far the worst temptation! Well done on resisting!!

My SW class is around the corner from a chippy and most weeks the wind blows so you can smell the deliciousness when you walk out of class :rotfl:

CP, sorry to hear the news... My OH has been told in July that his job is going, and still no news on the new prospects here, he sent out a few applications, but no replies so far. The uneployment money is not too bad here, but only for 1 year, and with my salary we should be ok, but if it takes longer for him to find a job, it is going to be touch, as my salary doesn't even cover the rent!

I am not a member of any official group (there are no groups here), and I am weighing in on the scales at home.

I overdid a bit this evening... I had some campfire stew, and then a bit of left over roast lamb with mint sauce, and I made the skinny fries..... I only had 1 HexB and I used my HexA as cheese in the fries. Still it was too much food for one evening, although I enjoyed it immensly! OH was impressed with the fries!

That's quite a blow CP, but you can certainly stay on here and do SW for free. I'm sure losing weight will make you feel better in yourself. And it is possible to do SW cheaply too, starting at Aldi's!

At least you stuffed yourself with SW foods ginvzt, could have been far worse.

    You're going great guns flutterby.:T

I gained half a pound at WI tonight.:( Was surprised as I'm feeling quite slim but it's probably just the difference between morning and evening WI. Normally I've only had a cuppa and a bowl of Shreddies when I WI, today I'd had two meals. I'm still within target range but I really want to be lower down but I'm out for two meals this week so not likely to happen anytime soon. But I'll keep plodding.;)
