I'm hoping for a STS but really expeccting a small gain as definitely gone over on syns this week, although not by as much as it could have been!

    Having an EE day today:

    B - banana; after WI
L - LO butternut squash & lentil curry; haven't got any rice left so will need to cook a bit when I get back at lunchtime (there was some but DH has taken it all!)
    D - Faggots, mash, brocolli & peas

I've found a recipe on line for faggots which I'm going to have a go at - probably not until next month though as I'm trying to run my freezer down to defrost it and this month's meal plan will help with that.

HEA - milk for teas throughout the day
    HEB - not sure yet
    Syns - faggots x 2 = 6; not sure what else yet

Back later with how WI went.

  • mich - we had Cola Chicken too last night - one of may favourites I think :D

CP - sorry to hear that you've had bad news re DH's job. Definitely not a problem sticking here with us. Pop in as often as you can and ask as many questions as you wish - there's usually someone hanging around that may be able to help. Good luck to you both and hope that hubby isn't out of work for too long. xx

Shala - loving your pics - your meals look so delish :D

flutterby - well done on fab loss. Having to walk past chip shop after wi  - pleased to say I don't have such temptation. ;)

ginvzt - sorry to hear that your hubby is having job worries too :( You are so brave tackling a coat mind you - my stitching starts and stops with cross stitch. :D

Fingers crossed that the workmen are hoping to finish today - it seems an awfully long two weeks. Cold wet and murky here today :(

:j 2.5lbs off for me this week :j So happy with that. Total 18.5lbs off in 13weeks . I have lots more to go, not even got Club 10 yet, but it's going the right way.

My SW class is around the corner from a chippy and most weeks the wind blows so you can smell the deliciousness when you walk out of class :rotfl:

    Well done flutterby :j

My SW class is right by the chippy and the chinese takeaway :(

Sorry to hear your news CP but as everyone else said, this is a thread for those following SW and lots of people are doing it with home WI. If you need help with syns etc someone can always look things up for you.

I discovered yesterday that the place we went to for lunch no longer does jackets. It had a lovely frittata on instead though so I was a happy bunny :D. Don't often eat them as hubby doesn't like eggs except fried so I don't cook things like that.

Syns yesteray ended up being a bit of oil on salad, bit of mayo, a couple of chips, and the leg of a gingerbread man that toddler had for pudding!

Going to make macaroni cheese for dinner tonight. Will be a combination of these two recipes

    http://www.slimmingworld.com/recipes/deluxe-macaroni-and-cheese.aspx
    http://www.slimmingworld.com/recipes/cheats-leek-macaroni-cheese.aspx

extra veg as per the first one, but the sauce from the second and cook under the grill, although I'll try and do the construction this afternoon while my toddler is at nursery.

The scales are a strange thing Maman, some weeks I go thinking I’m feeling quite slim and there are the weeks that I have something on!!! I would go on how you feel more and not the number on the scales. You’ll be proud of me I was offered to share a Chinese last night with the parents – and wait for it - I declined!!!
Counting Pennies - sorry to hear about OH’s job. SW still can be done on a tight budget – I’m getting really stretched these days! You just have to be a little more inventive and put good planning into place. I am in Lidl more and more these days – we have no Aldi but for Fruit & Veg Lidl is definitely the cheapest for me. I’m even on the toilet roll now (not eating it lol) every penny counts and all that!!
Crabapple – So is mine and a Dominoes!! My whole village is takeaway city infact!!!
Probably not the place for this but I just want to say – my little dog is gone a year today, those of you who were about last year will know how heartbroken I was at the time. I certainly haven’t forgotten about you and you are loved very much. Play with all the balls, kill all the squeaky toys, bark at whatever you like and eat all the treats. Sleep well xx
That said I will get through the day as best as I can!

Hugs Lantanna :grouphug:. I'm sure most of us know what it's like to lose a beloved pet and you don't ever forget them.

  • CP sorry to her about OH's job situation :(

Mine is looking a tad more stable but I have pushed the limits of my comfort zone and applied for a managerial position in a local charity :O Scary times; don't think they will go for me but nothing ventured nothing gained and all that. Plus it means going back to full time when I've just dropped a day here but it's almost twice the pay! Heck maybe they'll interview me as a wildcard ;)

Today's food is a disaster already (though can be averted)
breakfast: no milk in so I grabbed a HeB portion of bread from the freezer and made toast when I got to work and had that with a sliced banana on top (ultimate comfort breakfast for me!) have made a cuppa at work with just a tiny splash of milk

Lunch: soup I wanted from my fridge was no longer fit for consumption (*sob* total waste of veggies grr) so now I have nothing! I have a tin of sketti here which would be free so I won't starve, also have apples and satsumas a plenty :)

Tea: bf needs a protein rich tea; I'm thinking either chicken wrapped in bacon (both of which I will have to go buy on my dinner break) which he will have with chips and an egg and I can have with mash and a pile of veggies plus salad or he can have chicken nuggets and chips and I will have...I don't know something from the cupboard :/

    Random syn info requests:
chicken and mushroom snack noodle (like a pot noodle but from Aldi)
    basics rice pudding
and could someone run the following nutritional info through the syn calculate please?:
    Nutrition:

Nutrientper 100g (as sold) per 175g (1/2 bag microwaved)

Part of the Furniture 1,000 Posts I've been Money Tipped!
Morning All think I have caught up with the thread after losing my posts, Maman that's a great idea to do it in word and cut and post, wouldn't have thought of that.

Havent time now to post individual replies but was so sorry to read of the job losses and hope something turns up soon. Was very pleased to hear of the weight losses and was delighted to be SOTW.

Anyway had the most enjoyable time in York. We stayed at the Travel lodge, York Central, which is right next to a Wetherspoons, they did a n
awesome traditional breakfast, best I have had in years.

Well I still haven't been on a Ghost Walk, as a surprise my DD had booked a Ghost Bus instead really enjoyed it and must admit after 4 hours of exploring and shopping I was really grateful for the ride. It is not like a traditional Ghost walk but it is funny not scary

York is just great for shopping but my favourite was a Christmas Shop,
absolutely crammed with anything to do with Christmas decorations and gifts, my DD bought me a lovely light up Christmas village with a little train that goes round.

Too soon to be sure but I think I may have got away with a gain in weight as my scales are saying sts will have to see on Tuesday when I go to group. Was a bit dismayed that DGD opted for Pizza Hut for lunch
but decided I would only eat the toppings with salad really enjoyed it but felt really guilty at leaving all the bases .

Feeling quite proud of myself that I resisted donuts and only peered through the window at the sweetshop.but did have my first ever cocktail, well Ok it was 2 had to have the 2nd to see if I really liked them :rotfl:

Right now back to earth need to sort out the fridge and see what needs using up,, was a bit OTT with aldi super 6 last week.

    Long time no speak.

Top bloke is no longer on the scene. Very upsetting break up, but, I have myself and Top Boy to think of, so I'm getting through, with lots of crying and tea.

I've been off plan for a bit accordingly so will WI Mon for a fresh start, then catch the rest of you up.

Plenty of me stuff to do once I'm through the worst of this too.

Hope you're all faring better than me xx

He wasn't a bad guy Lantanna, he is 11 years younger and I think that just caught up to us, very different stages in our lives. I'll miss him, but letting someone in like I did him is a huge deal for me, I'm awful at that stuff.

Weekend packed with good friends, activities and syns to draw a line, then countdown to Christmas and start afresh life wise in the new year xx
